Kunai after EX Kazegiri is more than most characters get on their DPs.
I was going to make a thread, but I know a lot of people cannot act like men most of the time, so I will just make the post here. The title was going to be:

ofcourse not. it might be Okay, though it’s very EASILY escapable and Punishable. the only way it’s good for wake up is if ur opponent is an idiot enough to think that u wont be able to reverse a pressure when ur down on the ground (example Ibuki vs ibuki, knock ibuki on the ground and then f+mk while she tryin to wake up…punish by ex kazigiri). beside that then this move is purely a defense mechanism or ground reversal, never wake up.

u should not hate, other char have worse…like for instant ABEL. atleast Ibuki has tons of different BNB’s and pressure unlike others. beside it’s kinda lame to be honest, but i got used to it due to GG (so i kinda agree it could be lame at first)…though it puts a harder difficulty to master. by means ibuki is not meant to be a new ryu!

at all. u just dont know how to use it. First off, passes through Projectiles which is VERY VERY useful mechanism against fireballs! as well as due to the invincibility frame of the ultra sometimes u can pass through WEIRD stuff (for example, Ibuki’s Kunai’s).
secondly, she’s the only char were u period can combo ultra after any physical’s(besides other who can sjc as well, like viper_…how is that useful? VERY usefull, imagine stuffing in a reversal of st.mk into ultra. it might be hard for some, but it might not be for others…it all revolves around that Ibuki is a HARD char to master due to her SJC for some people.
last, a guarenteed damage if chained after a physical…unlike U1
-Hate: Seems like every character in the game (minus dhalsim, gief and just a few others) are a counter to her.
hmmmm, all us Ibuki players can tell u is to PRACTICE in that case…if ur still struggling or insist on stuff like that, then simply ibuki is aint ur style.
PS: Dhalsim can show hell to IBUKI! as well as GEIF!

think bout it that way, here are the pro’s and cons
Goods:
1-can catch jump in if done perfectly
2-a good ultra for baits are traps nothing else
bads:
1-Easily escapable
2-damage is only 50 extra from U2
3-cannot be chained from anything
4- USELESS if used outside the grab animation
-Love: Her bdp+k is probably my favorite move
Penguin kick. partially agree. Penguin kick is good, but not every PK is safe in every situation. though as an over all it’s a very VERY tight useful move
-why the fuck does her ex kunai have to make her fall back down
well…ehh u know they always have to nerf and upgrade char from game to game. though i believe EX kunai is one of her best moves, as well as one of the best moves in the game! it’s not meant for spam as well, everything must be done carefully and at the correct time.
-I don’t have much problems against Honda at all. I just spam kunai, but that’s so boring
all i can tell u is, i really think u didnt fight good honda’s in that case.
conclusion:
ibuki is a VERY unique char and not easy to master at all. not because of some cons then u will applly the fact that she’s not a good char(if that the reason of ur post), cause to be honest she’s that close to be tournament quality ( we got 35 char in the game, how many of them are regularly used in a tourney?)
she’s really that solid, just kinda need to know her really well.
some of her qualities that differentiate her from any other char:
- a really good Anti air game
- the only char we she can OKI freely
- Massive damage combos as well as massive guard pressure
- Mind games, traps and confusion
- SJC

ps: she’s really good dude, just give her time and patience…being good with any char doesnt come right away
To me Ibuki is still undiscovered country kinda. I see some of our top guys playing Ibuki week in and week out and I swear they get better and better each week. If you’ve got good fundamentals, and can use her link combos and SJC effectively, I honestly think she’s a great character. It’s tough to compete with her versatility and it’ll be a long time before anyone can really begin to claim that they have mastered Ibuki (that is, if you believe that anyone can ever master a character).
Plus, you gotta remember that the reason we are in this Ibuki forums is to pool knowledge and try and improve the character and our own games. If we sat here complaining about all her bad points we wouldn’t get very far. Knowing Ibuki’s bad side is half of the learning process.
Yesterday i went to my first big tournament with 64 players(second overall) and i played ibuki exclusive

2-0 ibuki vs el fuerte felt pretty random but a combination of slides and kunais worked
2-0 ibuki vs el fuerte another el fuerte whats going on here 
2-0 ibuki vs ryu your standard mashing ryu,had no idea how to play ibuki
2-1 ibuki vs dhalsim this one was a sick very close match,luckily for me my brother plays a very good dhalsim.
Since he is well known alot of people were looking and cheering for us both.I ended a very very close match with a dash ultra trough an ex fireball when i was behind,the crowd went nutz it was crazy tt
2-0 ibuki vs gief how i love kunais and pinguin kicks in this matchup,its like heaven compared to cammy in sfiv
2-1 ibuki vs balrog no idea how i won this match,lucky for me he didnt knew ibuki to well
1-2 ibuki vs rose one matchup i need to learn better,it feels like every i do gets outprioritized by rose

spamming kunais vs dudley works like a charm
sagat was close but again the cammy exp came in handy,focus attack trough first fireball and ultra the second

overall im very glad i got the exp and got so far with ibuki,definitely going to continue with ibuki
the match vs the dhalsim was pure hype,never experienced something like this.

Wow really? You only played vs one charge character? Strange. Last 3 tourneys I went to I had to face a mass of bisons, hondas, and guiles. And a few boxers/chuns but they were not that great.
Edit: Or maybe the Ibuki vs Boxer/Chun matchups are not as broken.

Ugh, sometimes I feel like I’m getting absolutely nowhere with Ibuki. I’m learning to SJC into dashes, U2 etc etc, have picked up a lot of stuff yet I feel like i’m not entirely sure how to implement it. I wish there was an easier way of practicing footsies than against hordes of take-no-prisoners endless battle lobby guys but I guess there isn’t! I’m sure it must be my ground game that lets me down, I just got beat by all sorts of trash…
I guess your mind just gets into loops, when you get harshly punished for doing something, you focus so much on not doing it that you forget the rest of your game and it’s like you barely remember how to press buttons! Rather than get all DSP about it, I just walked away and hit the lab again later. (Rant) over 
Ranked mode?
Haha, how’d you guess… I know it sucks notoriously, but I figure that if I’m getting somewhere I should be able to defend myself against different levels of scrubs. Everytime a new scrub type comes up (tonight it was spinning back kick Abel scrub which started the downfall) and I just get frustrated and start playing like i’ve got memory loss. You’d think i’d never seen a controller…
I would do endless battle more if I could compete but most of the time they’re lobbies of advanced guys, which is great if they’re helpful but often just means you get a lot of ass kickings and don’t learn a great deal. But it’s fine, i’m sure i’ll come back to it tomorrow and do ok, and think that i’m making progress until spam jab Balrog comes along and sh**s on my parade.
Alright, well maybe I’m missing something with ground game. Generally speaking, do people have specific tactics with Ibuki footsies or is it the standard case of looking to poke, stuff pokes and bait & punish? Before anyone asks, yes, I have read Maj’s article a number of times!
This is why when I play srs bsns endless, I only play 1v1. I don’t want to waste time waiting when I’m trying to train.
I sometimes get frustrated at ranked mode too, but don’t let it deter your training. I agree that you need to learn to beat scrubs as well as good players. In the event you play a mix of both, you’ll be ready.
In europe online is pretty godlike to,not much lag
germany/belgium/france/sweden/danmark/finland/norway/netherlands five bars no lag all day
Don’t get discouraged…you’re probably just in that shitty spot everyone hits when learning to play this game. Where you get beat by everyone. Scrubs beat you because you’re trying to out think them, and they’re not thinking at all. Good players beat you…because they’re better than you are.
welcome to my world everday haha. i hate when i lose to a bad player , at least with a good player i can understand why i feel like i cant do anything. i need to do more endless but it just want to play match after match at night when i usually play. i dont have time to wait 15 min just to get my ass kick again haha. it usually ends up 3 am in the morning when i do endless. that why i have to start play more local, it more fun and i know i will get better faster playing local.
Yeah that’s exactly it, you can’t prepare for something that’s random. And I often beat guys around the 1000-1500PP mark but anything other than that I either get outscrubbed or completely ruined by genuinely good players (which I really don’t mind). It’s just frustrating losing to people you know you shouldn’t have lost to. Especially with Ibuki when you can boss an average Ryu and yet they just seem to nick the match from you with a couple of poorly judged hadoukens.
I also don’t think it improves me as a player at all, it just makes me rage out at the end of a day that I got beaten by a bunch of sh*ts.
