Are you a shitty troll?
No - I’m serious, Work > Street Fighter so I’m out the loop when it comes to competitive SF I’m afraid.
Just checking to see if it’s me or her that’s fucking up.
Oh, well then her pokes aren’t that great. Which ones do you use? I’d recommend using st.mk, it has good priority and it’s the one I use the most. Only down side is if it whiffs it can be hanging there for a while. f+lk is also pretty good, I haven’t used it myself too much for footsies, but when I have it has seemed solid. It’s quick and has the same range as st.mk, not sure if it will get stuffed easily, but try it out.
I’m happy to help, though I’m relatively new to the scene and my Ibuki only just about pushes 1k PP. But by all means feel free to add me, I’m on relatively often at the moment.
The more videos the better really, I feel like I often learn a lot from watching good Ibuki’s. That’s why I watch DJs Xanadu stream and regularly hit the replay channel.
^Sure thing, I’ll add you in the next couple of hours. If you’re not on then, we’ll play tomorrow or something.
most times, it’s what you just said. characters with good pokes will destroy you. hell, trying to hit ryu when he does c.mk is ridiculous. you will almost always get hit cleanly, and when you manage to hit him it’s definitely going to be a trade unless he was really, really late. her only really decent pokes are c.mk, c.rh, and maybe f.lk. the rest of her pokes are usable, but expect to get beaten.
yo tribal, is the wifi speed in japan as good as they say?
wifi speed? not sure… but my internet speed owns the entire planet.
by wifi I meant XBL/psn, sorry for my shitty way of saying it. Jealous of your internet connection though. Mine is okay at best I guess… might do a speed test later.
yea, playing ssf4 is pretty much without lag here. i don’t think i’d ever would have played the game had i lived in the states.

High amounts of bandwidth doesn’t exactly correlate with low ping or low latency to other players.
Mingo, who do you primarily main? Ibuki or Cammy?
I dunno, I sort of alternate between them. If I’m at a tournament, it heavily depends on the matchup. Also depends heavily if my opponent knows how to FA or otherwise get out of the vortex.
I was going to make a thread, but I know a lot of people cannot act like men most of the time, so I will just make the post here. The title was going to be:
Ibuki: A love, hate relationship.
First off, I still do not see why she has to once again be nerfed hard in another game. In 2I, she was quite godly, but then again, every character had something that hit hard or hit confirmed/linked good. Now, she only been in what, 3 games previously: GF, 2I and 3S. Now, Capcom decides to bring back old characters, but still make them shitty? Ugh. Here’s some things I love and hate about her:
Love/Hate: EX DP: Good on wake ups, quite fast, can sometimes hit opponents directly above… On the flip side, if blocked, leaves her completely vulnerable, while not a bad thing since you have an option of kunai, but they can focus attack it and get even more of a punishment against you since it only takes like lv1 fa to stun her after that, argh.
Love: Chain combos, yes… Hate about them? They don’t all work on the same characters, but that’s understandable. You have to know between the ppp combo or lk, mk combo.
Hate: Seems like every character in the game (minus dhalsim, gief and just a few others) are a counter to her. She can’t punish almost half the cast regardless she is fast or not. Boxer can almost ALWAYS jab out of anything she does except ex dp.
Hate: U2 is such a fucking joke! If you combo it, it takes the same amount as a regular chain combo, maybe less! Also, you would think that it comes out somewhat suddenly that it could even punish, let’s say a close blocked fireball or a blocked boxer headbutt… NOPE. No fucking way, I have tried, and bit the dust every time.
Love/Hate: U1: I love this ultra for three reasons, it’s a counter, it has a projectile upon distance, and takes a good amount of damage… What do I hate about it? It seems like you’re more than likely to catch someone with it by luck, as you can’t really set up anything with it. If someone just spams attacks all day, you can catch them, but if it’s someone who knows about that U and not to attack, then you are forced to either not use it, or waste it with the projectile for very decent block damage.
Love: Her bdp+k is probably my favorite move. It pushes her back quite fa if blocked or hit, and gives you a good distance to set up for either another or just to get away.
I got more, but I can’t think much right now, I just got extremely vexed before, because it seemed as if I couldn’t punish anything unless I had EX for her kazegiri, which really is just bullshit.
One more thing (edit doesn’t seem to work,) why the fuck does her ex kunai have to make her fall back down!? Why couldn’t they make it like in 3S/2I where she goes backward? Ugh.
You want your dp/reversal to be safe? Go play honda or something >.>
I don’t have much problems against Honda at all. I just spam kunai, but that’s so boring.
^ what do you do when you push yourself to the corner?
Man, these “ibuki sucks” posts are getting pretty lame. So much garbage in there. No one can block a fireball and then punish it with ultra. You need to ultra through the fireball. Her ultra does punish a lot of attacks on block…it’s one of the fastest in the game. Try using it against hakan’s slide or honda’s non-ex headbutts Invincible reversals should not be safe on block, and ibuki’s is actually a lot better than a dp(on block) because you can mix up throwing the kunai or not throwing it. You didn’t even mention her normals, which, is really her weakness.
