So my friend got free “collectors editions” or whatever and gave a couple out. I tried installing but it stays at 100% and says its updating LOL.AirRuntime 1/2 in the launcher. I left it on overnight and its still doing the same stuff. The thing is, when I popped the CD in it installed run airtime for me and went through a couple updates. Any idea on what I can do to get this to work? Thanks in advance =)

Alistar was my main for a long time. He was really good, but has been nerfd and indirectly nerfd so many times that it hurts to pick him now. There are too many champions that fit his role and do it better. But if you know how to play him he can completely fuck the game up for the other team.
Flash is really tarded on him for obvious reasons.
I cant count how many first bloods I got for playing aggressive early by getting lvl 1 headbutt, harassing with W-> Right click. (which if you didnt know, Alistar will headbutt a champ and then auto-attack them while they are flying through the air, so its like free damage tacked onto the headbutt) Then hugging my tower, and getting Pulverize at lvl 2, and then flashing behind someone, Headbutt+Pulverize so they are stunned under tower for 2-3 tower hits ftw.
Ghost is really good on Alistar as well.
Ignite isnt too bad either. (I frequently chose ghost and ignite as my 2 skills)
(twoards the end of my Alistar phase, id use Flash and Ghost)
I usually go for dorans ring first.
Then sheen.
After that its all situational.
Rod of ages, Sunfire Cape, Randuins Omen, Frozen Heart, Veil, Force of Nature, Spirit Visage, Last Whisper…
Actually I havent played Alistar since patch so I dunno about the change to last whisper. But Alistar with last whisper downed buildings fucking fast. Its not an optimal item choice, but it worked really good for pushing.
When you play Alistar just remember that he is bugged vs silence.
If you face someone with a silence be very observant when you are silenced or if you are about to get silenced.
You can Ult while silenced, and it will put that shit on cooldown.
BUT YOUR ULT WONT DO SHIT.
I mean… itll still break CCs when activated but it wont break silence and it wont give you increased survivability.
It will basically waste your ult.
So Garens silence+spin combo, you better ult before the silence hits you. (simultaneous works against you too)

I have been messing with playing Cho’Gath solo lane/mid. It’s the most retardedly amazing thing that I have ever seen in this game, hands down.
For alistar I really like boots, healthpot, ward combo. I can either run up really fast and ward their blue and screw over their jungler, or ward dragon 3 or 4 minutes in. Boots are nice because since you cna chase down anyone who doesn’t have boots.
That silence thing i s a good tip, haven’t ever had to deal with it yet, but i’ll be on the look out now.
the thing about dodge runes is they are statistically best at what they do AND the mesh really well with the 9 point defense tree(which is super good). It beats out health and armor for physical damage reduction. Dodge runes are important if you want to jungle, almost a must have for all junglers.
I’ve been playing Trynd for the last couple of games…2 P.Dancers = Retarded Trynd.
My Crit damage usually maxes out at about 800 or so with 2 P.Dancers, Last Whisper, Infini Edge. My full build looks something like this, B. Greaves, 2 P.Dancers, Last Whisper, Infinity Edge, and Yomu’s Ghost Blade. Sometimes I sub in a Black Cleaver if I’m getting mad money.
One Phantom Dancer is bad, two is just downright awful. It is one of the worst items in the game. Deal with it.

greatly disagree, I don’t have a single dodge rune and have jungles with pretty much every jungler. I guess they make it easier for some champs like udyr possibly, but I’d rather not leave jungling to chance, armor runes are far superior for jungling, as they are basically a 10% damage reduction. I’ve actually never heard of a jungler taking dodge runes.
and a single PD as a 5th or 6th item isn’t bad on some champs like GP/trynn, but yeah, theres better items, especially now that the dodge is gone.
Tell that to my 10/0/10 trynd.

Just like you always put in your posts, imo. Thats all it is. You don’t know who I play man. My build with Trynd has been working fine for now. If I feel like changing/have a reason to change it. I will. Until then. I’ll continue to play with my two P.Dancers.
Phantom Dancers are fine, but people who rush them make me mad.
The purpose of the P.Dancers are just to help My attack speed, the added crit is just a bonus. I rather have 2 Zeals/P.Dancers than 2 Avarice Blades.
Someone a long time ago calculated out the difference between health, armor, and dodge yellows and posted up their findings, and dodge came out being the superior choice. You aren’t leaving anything to luck(unless you’re jax but he should still be using dodge) as the amount of attacks you receive as you jungle is so huge that you should be pretty close ot the most probably case. I noticed a big and consistent increase in survivability on all my junglers when i switched to them.
if you only care about the AS, have you tried SotD? its about 1k cheaper and has a decent passive and the active gives nice ArP. I dont play Trynd though so i dunno.

sotd is literally one of the best items in the game, yet it’s completely overlooked for some stupid reason. i’ve been seeing it a little more since the attack speed got pulled off of last whisper, but it’s cheap and does amazing things.

i have never used dodge runes to jungle, nor have i felt the even slight urge to buy dodge runes when armor runes are a hundred percent more reliable.
seriously, if you need survivability runes for your jungler (which you prolly don’t), either buy HP or armor. RNG survivability is unreliable and bad, imo.
