A lot of people on the official forums are QQing about how “OP” Sona is. I really hope they don’t nerf my favorite champion. IMO she is fine how she is now.
Some of my high level friends say sona is reallllllyyyy good(and they’ve had access to her for awhile), whether that’s so good we should expect nerfs, or just strong we’ll see.
Sona is far from OP. unlike Xin when he was first released. I was just kicked off LoL a while ago and I’ve beeen unable to reconnect. Think they broke something.
I don’t really understand Riot. Why bother nerfing Soraka if you are just going to release a hero that is better than she is at everything 2 weeks later?

Her heal is ridic at this point. That’s the only thing that needs a tweak.
Just had my first game as Sona, she’s really fun to run down people with thanks to her movespeed buff. Also, I’ve been using Akali a lot. She’s insanely fun. I even got my first penta kill with her. I’m in love.
They got some major server issues today. All the players got disconnected in the past few games I’ve played.
Her heal is the only thing that needs a tweak? She does stupid amounts of damage for a support, has a heal, and AOE CC as an ult. You might not want to admit it, but she just made every other support champion worthless.
The range on her Q needs to be tweaked. Way too good IMO. Her heal isn’t burst-y enough for team fights but is amazing for laning. Janna’s Shield is still equal to or above it, and I would still definitely take Soraka as a straight-up healer. Her auras are pretty silly though, but it doesn’t break the game wide open or anything. Giving everybody a little extra damage makes up for the fact that you took ALL of the damage out of that fifth spot on your team, I guess.
She only does unreasonable amounts of damage early to mid game because people are maxing her Q first and the activation is literally a player seeking missile. It evens out to be completely awful later on.
Fun Sona strat; make a buddy out of your tough melee champ teammate (mundo or whatever) and roam the map ganking the fuck out of everything.
Another fun Sona strat: Jungle. I kid you not, she is more than capable.
EDIT: To anybody that suffers from that weird issue where their in-game client is ridiculously laggy, please check out this; http://eu.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=358 It’s a modified standalone client from a sticky on the EU LoL Forums and will solve all of your in game lag issues. Also comes with a bunch of neat features such as the ability to move/scale your UI however you want, and a tool to change the recommended items for any champ.

Anyone know the property of Sions shield? Like does the damage change depending on how long you hold it or how close you are when it goes off?
Does full damage at any point. The early detonation is just for offensive purposes, you can leave it up if you were running away or something.

Weird News: Apparently both the European and the Chinese teams have had to sub-in a couple of players because of Visa problems. This has happened in international gaming competition before, so it’s not completely rare or unusual. Though it is unfortunate…
So I finally won my first ranked game. This is mostly due to Sona’s greatness. She keeps people in the fight. She can kill. She can help team escape. She has a minor CC ability. She has large breasts. She has stolen my heart.
EDIT: BTW, my last two games I went 7/1/14 and 7/0/15 with her. She’s amazing.
