Here’s a nice Interview with Another Story by Rinoa (Riot staff member and member of team PMS North America) from the League of Legends boards.
Another Story will represent Southeast Asia (SEA) at the WCG Grand Finals next weekend. Though SEA is the least-developed region in LoL, I found this interview quite interesting, especially since all the players are very new to the game and most are still competing in DotA.

I’ve delayed trying this game out for a while now. Pretty fun stuff.
so i just played sona for the first time, my first impression. Broken. She’s really fun and really active, but i would not even be a little surprised to see her nerfed. She absolutely dominates the lane, charge up her passive in the base, walk out at level 1 and auto attack someone and drop Q, most people will be at below half from ranged attacks done from behind the minion wave(or you can just bum rush them since not even garen/vlad/mf can deal with that level of damage at level 1). After you hit them for way harder than they can possibly deal with just take the bush and zone all day long, also feel free to trade blows since you’ll constantly be healing off any damage. Late game she’s a strong team support, decent damage nuker, and AOE stun bot, she still rocks the house, and she doesn’t need good farm to do it, her skills are just strong.
+1 on Sona being pretty broken right now. Sona is such a great assist character I don’t see how they won’t nerf her soon. During the laning phase she keeps more squishy characters alive easily to take the first turret really quickly. Tanks just won’t die when she is around. I was paired with Sona as Yi doing bottom and placed a ward around dragon to make sure we wouldn’t get ganked, easily got two kills and took the first turret by the time we hit 6. After that we were free to run around and gank the other team after pushing that far up their lane on bottom. Late game her buffs allow the entire team to apply so much pressure and her ult can wipe a whole team out if they are trying to run or save the whole team when your team is being chased. Doesn’t do much damage late game but the buffs, healing, and the ult are pretty broke right now.
holy fuck i just laned against a Taric/Sona comp and this is the most ridiculous op setup ever. Fuckers were tower diving from level 5 and got away from the tower clean with at least 50% health. After that match i didnt even wanna play this game anymore. Riot needs to get on this shit.
Throw a Nidalee or Soraka in there and you have instant surrender at 25.
Healpoke/Healpush is back and Executioner’s Calling still blows.
Yup… Sona paired with tank/DPS just eats up lanes for free.
bring back executioners calling and it will all be fixed.
This guy loves to forego any epic moments that don’t happen in his favor. I’ve played against him and done many a stupid Ashe arrow and the like, and they don’t get upped.
Also, my entire team is up there getting wrecked by his Sunfire Shaco for some sort of montage.
I don’t like this guy, and he’s not a very good player. His videos never show him getting wrecked - at least not recently. It’s only the cool moments that happen in his favor. Very biased.
Did anyone else see the Swain leak info? He looks meh in my opinion. Just another lame AP caster.
