Just started playing this game. I’m addicted.
But when you get that win it feels so good, still don’t know how me & my friend won that 3v5 against a fed & pretty skilled Premade.
True, it feels good, but sometimes you just know you are screwed. Makes me wish the game would let you surrender before 25 minutes, because there have been a few times now 2 or 3 players on my team would leave before the creeps would even spawn. From my limited experience, once the momentum is in your favor and you have taken a tower or two, a leaver won’t hurt you as much. In the beginning laning phase though, they can really get ahead in ganks and gold if it is a 2v1 situation, especially if you have a bad matchup champion wise. Too bad the game forces you to stick around when games end up lopsided like that.
Ha I just realized that I forgot to leave my Summoner name. It’s Nakigahara. Add me if you want to do some matches together. I’m not that great but I’m willing to take advice! I don’t have a mic yet so no vent/skype for me. >.<
The one time my 4 man premade can get together servers need maintenance. Hate this game so much sometimes.
Understand, but maintenance happens. And I think maintenance happens every Thursday night too.
Played about 110 matches in LoL so far, first experience in any kinda DoTA style game.
I’m still pretty bad, but I have my moments now and then.
my screen name on there is roadapple if anyone wants to play. I usually play with a pro dood, so we can get decent teams going pretty easily.
I cant wait to get this new bard character comming up soon =D
edit: skype / vent is ok for me
Limited use “PAX JAX” Code. This code will expire soon, I accidentally redeemed it myself earlier (I already have PAX JAX).

This was posted on Machinima Realm’s Twitter page today.
Open LoL Client, go to store, go to redeem code, past this in (ctrl-v or apple-v) and use it quickly. Limited supplies.
I ha no idea this was a PAX JAX code. Trust me, it’s worth getting
Dang it ran out already. I really wanted that skin… I love yellow. ._.
Check this, they’ve given maybe 1 a day for the last 3 days. Hopefully they give more on the weekends.

If I was the only one who got it, I feel bad then…
Also, Pretty Gamer is doing a Pax Jax giveaway which will be drawn next week. Check it out here.
GGs Lothar. Trollgath is hilarious. We should’ve had dps on our team though

After a lousy match where teamfights weren’t going well (and my Shen was accused of not knowing Shen was a tank…)… I HAD AN AMAZING MATCH despite insane lag on my end (it’s rough when this happens, fights look like teleporter battles).
In any case, it was a close match where the other team was outfighting us, outplaying us… except… we had a good Yi who was able to tip it well. When the endgame started, they had us strongly on defense and were starting to penetrate our base. As we held them off on defense, one event happened that started allowing us to go on offense… Yi backdoored their base and took out an inhibitor.
That was enough for us to start the big push. I think being on D helped our team figure out some of our priorities so we did start to win a few teamfights and start to hang in there. We knocked their outer towers and three of us went for Baron. While the 3 of us went for baron, the other two were forced on D as they 5 man rushed the middle and did get a tower down. As our first base tower went down, we teleported back to base and proceeded to weed them out. More fighting ensued and we were able to take down their outer base towers and a couple of inhibitors. Things seemed to be going great!
And then suddenly, they did fight back well and took us out, got an ace and with that started destroying some towers. At some point, we lost all of our base towers and two inhibitors. We also lost our nexus towers… We did pretty well fighting them off, but now we were in a bad position and we had to be defensive. We were the only units that could defend our base…
Yi tells us to defend the base and he’ll backdoor their base. At some point he managed to take out the nexus towers (I think our super minions made their way in well when they pushed heavily on O earlier). Anyways, as we respawn at different times (the 4 of us on Defense I mean) we got hammered and destroyed. It was almost all 5 on 1 or 2 battles killing us all, taking out respawned inhibitors and it was pretty much over. Their team attacked our nexus with all 5 members and that nexus was going down fast.
I took a quick look at their base and there is Yi, about to take it down. It’s really close… I see a nexus blow up and I’m a little confused (because the healthbar didn’t look like it was at 0 at all) and… VICTORY!
Now I have seen what a good Yi can do…
Game was still fun though.
imo.
Yup, Yi is amazing at backdooring. Taking out towers is easy for him. I’ve been working on it and popping ult and wuju style at high levels means a tower goes down in a few seconds. A lot of the time Yi can rush a tower with no minions around, pop ult and wuju style, and take out the tower before getting killed. The death is worth it a lot of the times if you can take out an inhibitor and force the team to go on defense. It just annoys me that he is so squishy, especially in the beginning. Pairing him with a character with a stun is deadly, but facing raged characters with stuns is really difficult for him. Yi doesn’t worry about slows very much, but stuns just wreck his game so it’s very dependent on who your teammates are, if they know when to drop their stuns, and gear (i.e. Banchee’s Veil). It’s just that he is so squishy.
Sounds like it is a case where Yi is more balanced as a character–though it also means people not playing him right = senseless deaths. Sounds like good Yi players have to be very objective minded and reading the field well and knowing which battles to go to and when to enter the team fights. But so worth it to have backdooring Yi and Twitch.
Do you find it absolutely necessary to get cleanse and even go for an item like quicksilver sash just to get debuffs off of you?

Backdooring is really easy with Yi but I’ve found that you have to be careful… most of the time I opt out of a team fight so I can take an inhibitor/inhibitor turret while the teams are busy. Team fights are hard if the other team is good and focus on Yi… he is one of those characters if everyone targets and presses “Q” you die. I don’t run cleanse too often although it’s really good. If the other team doesn’t have people with stuns then I can get away with not having it most of the time, otherwise I have to be careful and wait for them to drop all their CC before I get into the fight. I’ll get a quicksilver sash/banchee’s veil if I run into those problems. You can pop his ult to get away most of the time if you are in shit and they don’t have a stun, because he can’t be slowed. Popping his ult and using ghost, he can get away really fast as long as they don’t have a stun. I’ll use those two in combination to chase someone down also. Exhaust is good also but his ult and ghost combined last longer. I’ll run heal most of the time instead of cleanse just in case I need to stay alive that extra hit or two to take a turret down.
Of course, I’m still pretty new to this game and I’m sure there are better ways to play him, but I’ve had a lot of success so far just sticking to those tactics.
LoL matchingmaking = shit tier.
It’s either go in with a full house or go home.
Tryndamere is completely broken in blind pick games.
Fucking stupid as shit.
Gotta love his 6 seconds of invincibility and improved crit At least he’s still taking damage though (he just isn’t dying) so the moment he’s out of that thing one should be able to pick him off…
The bad part is that doesn’t stop soloqueue allies from running into him when he’s screaming
Would be great if there was a way to encourage every solo queue team to attack in spread out formation
