The best tier list(imo) is elementz tier list, it’s in the general discussion section of the actual lol forums, I’m not sure how updated it is now, but it used to be updated every single patch/meta game shift. It’s generally pretty solid, I’ve never seen anything on it that I completely disagreed with.

Malphite is alright, the biggest problem with him is that none of his skills scale off the same thing, his passive is based on HP, his W is based off attack damage, his Q is AP, his E is armor, his ult is god tier though, it’s super good. Anivia’s good but outclassed by a few other casters, mainly annie, but morgana, janna, sion are better too, though they are all less similar to anivia than annie is, but there’s a lot of RALLY good casters, so being out classed doesn’t mean much.

Kennen with zhonya’s ring is old(or at least SHOULD be). he’s an AP caster most of the time, and ALL ap caster should be getting zhonyas, he’s had a caster build ever since he first came out.

Amumu is an AWESOME jungle(he’s been my main since I started playing in march), but WW and Udyr are both excellent junglers as well. IMO every team should have a good jungle, a good mid, a good 2 v 1, and a good 2 person lane combo. Any other team cop is handicapping yourself.

While I admit I do this sometimes when I shouldn’t, if you go for the nexus kill and fail you’re in a worse off position than if you had just popped towers/inhibs in the other 2 lanes(which will be easier and less risky). Of course sometimes you CAN just win, in which case you obviously should, but it’s definitely got a higher price for failure.

Yeah, Zhonya’s has always been a core item for AP Kennens. You usually don’t see it since most will rush Rylai’s and Abyssal before Zhon’s and the game is usually over long before then.

There aren’t any good late game Alistar builds, no amount of CDR allows him to get more than one PulvHeadbutt in per team battle (well, maybe you’ll get a second headbutt), and Alistar’s farm blows so you don’t expect to end games with much gold anyway. With the recent apen nerf (doesn’t affect turrets anymore), you could go Randuin’s and Atma’s late game and start punching turrets for 200+ a hit, but that’s about it. Alistar really needs to be on a push team to succeed, so he can put that naturally high health and defence to use for turret diving.

Just letting everyone know, an SRK Room has been created in LoL Chat.

It’s private, but all you have to do is:

  1. Click on the dialogue box under your Friend’s List.
  2. Click on the + Room button.
  3. The room name is: “SRK”
  4. Optional: Click on the settings icon in the room chat’s interface and set to Autojoin on Startup.

I still love posting on Forums though, but I’ll pop myself on the SRK Room :slight_smile:

I’ve played both and I personally prefer Udyr, he’s one of my favorite heroes in the game. His chasing and ganking ability is ridiculous (you do not run from Udyr. He WILL catch you) and he fills a tank role well while still putting out ridiculous damage.

Start jungling with Phoenix stance, get Turtle next. Get one point in Bear stance once you’re done with your first sweep through the jungle so you can go gank a lane - usually you’ll score a kill. After that, it’s Phoenix > Turtle > Tiger - yes, I don’t get another single point in Bear stance until Tiger is maxed. People say it’s bad, but tiger stance has an activation DoT that shreds squishes, and the active attack speed bonus is amazing. Once you get razors, you can immediately do dragon. I’ve done it as early as level 4.

  1. Start with cloth armor and health potions. Start out at golem. Pop a potion DURING the fight. Activate Phoenix as often as you can and smite the golem at about 500 life.

1a) The only issue I usually have in the jungle, is when I get to lizard. I’ll clear wraiths, and sometimes I’ve been able to clear lizard right away, and sometimes I have to clear the mini-golems and bluepill back, buy another potion, and then clear lizard. I assume it’s just because I suck and/or have terrible runes.

  1. Build a Madred’s Razor (not bloodrazor. that comes later)
  2. Boots of either swiftness, or mercs, if the situation needs it.
  3. Build either a Randuin’s, or a Banshee’s veil, depending on the situation. Usually an enemy team consists of like, 80% either physical or magical damage, so the decision is easy. I don’t know what tank item you’d get for a perfectly mixed team. And please, use the Randuin’s active effect. It’s amazing.
  4. Finish bloodrazors.
  5. Build tank from here on out. Force of nature, guardian angel, sunfire capes, what have you.

Once you get 2-3 items, you will be amazing. The only problem is getting there - I always hate building expensive items like bloodrazors, but if you get 2/3 successful ganks during early game, you’ll be set, and you will do very well. You will take silly amounts of damage and shred anybody you target to pieces.

I need to play more, I’ve been super addicted to CoH recently nad haven’t been playing, I’m all bad now(though part of that is I’m trying out mostly new characters). My record is almost even in normal mode which is pretty pathetic, I used to be +50 :(.

On the other hand I am having fun with Yii, I can’t play AD yii at all, but I think my win rate with AP yii is close to 100%, I even won a game where our kayle DC’d, and then my windows update went off and shut down my computer, so both of us were out for a big chunk of the mid game(we did both come back thoguh).

Getting a lot better at this game but playing with randoms really fucks my game up. Lost two in a row because the guy in my lane kept feeding. Both games they were like “where was my help?” but it’s common sense, if you see a 4 v 2 situation you should just run away, unless they are all super low health or something.

I added the SRK room. If you guys see me online send me an invite. My name is duckyyu. I’ve been building up IP and getting my Master Yi skills up.

Oh, and fuck those Alistar players that are playing him for free this week but don’t know what the hell they are doing. The past few games I lost so many kills because a retard would headbutt the champion away from me, back towards their tower or something.

I tried playing Alistar for a while. He’s an unkillable beast, and flash > stomp > headbutt is amazing. The only problem is he does literally no damage, and outside of setting up a headbutt, he’s pretty useless.

EDIT: Fun Alistar strat; make headbutt your highest priority for skillpoints while leveling and harass people with it in the laning phase. It’s hilarious.

I play this game from time to time but I suck at it. I’ve never played DotA. :confused: I use Miss Fortune.

Eh. I probably won’t be on this game much. Team based + bad servers = no. Disconnects/leavers everywhere. I haven’t had an actual “GG” in months.

Not trying to add fuel to a fire… could be that I needed to reset my machine. But I had some hiccup issues in my last game… But I also wasn’t having the FPS issues people described before–so it’s probably just my machine.

But after the game, it still seems that the pvp.net client can still be a bit… iffy… yay for Adobe Air!

Client is still crap and laggy and fps issue is still there on my end. Was a little less laggy though and more playable but fps was still low.

I read on the boards that the problem is caused by a glitch in Adobe AIR, completely uninstalling and then reinstalling it is supposed to fix it.

Or you can just kill LoLClient.exe after champ select with Task Manager.

I’m almost level 20, so this is something of great interest to me as I enter the expensive (IP wise) realm of Tier 3 runes…

Second, gotta love the weekdays. Good teamwork and some very satisfying victories the last few days. I think all the kids are busy with school, homework, and bedtime. Big contrast to what I was dealing with over the weekend or even the first week of school.

Yep, same here. I haven’t had a good 5v5 match in the longest time.

In other news… I’m definitely getting the new champion. I was just working on a fanmade Bard champion exactly like what they have made.

This, or it is the other way around. I did one match earlier and it was our 5 vs their 2. That’s no fun. And it didn’t help that we were premade lol.
