doesn’t seem like it…I don’t think they’ll ever find a really good RC combo with her…you’re better off using meter for daisharin(in or out of combo)/KM(mix-up), to be safe on chun mix-up/continue mix-up, and to RC non-JCable moves to block burst

I’ve also used it for counter assault a few times, but you’re better off IBing and tsubame…but of course…if you don’t have your staff…

I still use 2B 6B RC all the time, it’s a very reliable way to initiate combos off a low attack

Generally you don’t need RC combos.

2B > ItsuuC.

yeah you don’t NEED them, but they’re nice to have, especially if they look cool, just another way to show off litchi’s hotness. :smokin:

Sorry to ask as I should already know this but… what’s Itsuu?

Is it another way to say 41236D?

^ Yes.

Man I didn’t know you could 2B, ItsuuC

^Thx for clearing that up

I had like twenty online ranked matches today, and I had a decent run (probably won half of them). I’ve finally started implementing Throw -> ItsuuA combos and combos from close range Tsubame Gaeshi into my game a bit more.

Fought a couple of Litchis (poor sods weren’t great, I felt kinda bad for schooling them a bit), had an untypically bad couple matches against Tager, and pretty much did well against Jins, Ragnas, Noels, etc.

However, I came across one or two excellent Taokakas who had me beat from start to finish. Damn long air combos… XD I had the same experience with this one guy at my local arcade and he was just a beast with her, I couldn’t touch him nor get away from the long air loops.

Any tips on getting the better of next-level Taos who definitely know what they’re doing? Cheers…

O-O~

^I’ll have to think about that, I haven’t fought a good Tao in a long time , good stuff beating Jin’s tho’ he’s a pest

It certainly didn’t help that I couldn’t Itsuu/Tsubame on reaction some of the time (living in the UK and fighting guys and gals from the US/Japan can be a pain =_=), but even I couldn’t blame slight lag on my Tao losses - I was beaten, fair and simple…

And yeah, I’m used to playing Jin since one of me mates mains him very well (and Noel, incidentally). Besides, I only encountered those of the “ice car -> slashes -> rinse and repeat” variety… =.= I wish they would learn their lessons…

O-O~

I just got streamrolled by a very good Tao player last night. The key is to keep Tao out, by means of 623D, 6B[m], j.B/j.C[m], and SUPER YOMI 2C[m]. I say SUPER YOMI because you shouldn’t really use 2C[m] outside of combos because it whiffs like a mother

Hey guys, been practicing some Litchi lately, and holy shit this chick is badass
:lovin:

I’m having some trouble with this one combo though.
5B>2C>6C>5C>JC>j.b>j.c>D>Falling C> ect…

I’m having trouble landing the the falling C, sometimes it comes out, but doesn’t hit them and sometimes it doesn’t come out at all. I tried SJC’ing the 5C, but then I go TOO high and can’t land the j.b

Any suggestions?

You’re supposed to double jump after j.C and then [D] ]D[. It looks more like : 5B > 2C > 6C > 5C > JC > j.B > j.C > Dj.[D] > ]D[ > Falling C > Etc…

Hmm, I see.
So after that falling C, what should I be following up with?
Another 5C or…?

I think (5C)->6C->Tsubame->6C… is a good followup :slight_smile:

Jin’s j.B gives me headaches.

^Jin is a headache as a whole

Seconded… =_= Yesterday was a bad day, I kept losing to Jins in the bad to mediocre range. Frustrating methinks…

No Taos this time around, but I did face this one really good Litchi who had me beat, and I ended up adding them to my friend list… I’m always willing to learn from others…

And I fought a pro Nu for the first time. I had two attempts at them - the first time, I took the first round off of them before they just shut me down from far. The rematch was just bad, I got beat before I could touch them. I always feel I have half a chance in Nu matches, because of the pure damage output from Litchi’s corner game. It’s just a matter of getting into them (I’m slowly learning how to block Nu’s BnBs).

Starting to work other nice little things I’ve been picking up from you guys and gals on this thread into my Litchi game… 2C/2B into ItsuuC is a nice variation for me to try out, and I learned how to combo from an air throw for once… ^.^

Let’s keep getting better… Oh, and welcome to the party, QwertyHero…

O-O~

^^
Lol, thanks
She’s a difficult character, her combo’s aren’t overly difficult, but they’re VERY extensive and one wrong input usually leads to a dropped combo, so I guess practice makes perfect, I just can’t wait to get a freakin’ TE stick already

Yeah, I definitely know what you mean with Litchi’s execution.

My own execution skills are rubbish - I’m prone to drop the occasional combo in the heat of battle.

But, ironically, it’s gotten better ever since I picked up this game (playing with Litchi as my main does that to me XD).

Plus, it’s nice to fight Jins/Noels/Ragnas/Nus who don’t have too much Litchi experience. I can imagine their faces if/when I pull off a long combo or get them into Kokushi Musou. XD

I’ve tried all the other characters in the game (and, for a time, even had Arakune as a second), but, for me, Litchi is still the the most fun and most rewarding to play as.
