Yeah I plan on using “All Green” more seeing how we found out a more convenient way to do it
Light pokes? I’ve been playing Litchi a while now and I just realized I don’t use light pokes very much. My main ground poke is standing B. Anyone have any tips on using A pokes effectively?
I use j.a a decent amount against certain chars. rarely use it on the ground though, probably should…
Her Standing A comes out pretty fast, but I must admit I don’t use it as often as I should…
It’s probably because Standing B is my poke of choice - I’m just used to throwing it out now and starting off my combos from it.
Is it good for beating out other characters moves? I can see it having a use like that if so, but I’m worried the range may be a bit lacking…
O-O~
I mostly use the standing A as my poke of choice as well but only because I like to keep it fundamental ABC (A to B to C style), the problem is it gets repetitive so I’m forced to switch it up to keep the opponent on edge
But I don’t think A goes to B with the staff? Only without. Standing B is a really good poke, but its just not fast. A lot of pokes stuff standing B simply because they come out faster.
If you hit 2A on a crouching opponent it will combo into 5B. Also if you Counter hit with 5A/2A it will combo into 5B. I also see some really good Litchi players do a 6A after a blocked 2A. It’s something we all should be doing more.
Yeah that’s known, but a lot of people overlook it. I personally find 64128 is better than 64123698
Yeah 64128 works wonders :bgrin:… anyway my friend brought over his Blazblue for PS3 and I got to do a shit load of Litchi mirror matches today, man it was intense we had 7 people playin’ but I was schoolin’ them left and right, props to them because they still put in a lot of effort
now back to lab
I just wanted to mention that I had no idea how character dependent this games combo’s are. It seems like there are a few decent ones that work on everyone, but if you wanna do the really nasty ones you need to know the character specific combos.
yeah, not being able to hit noel and nu with 5c in some combos is annoying, and I’m too lazy to look up variations.
Yeah, I used to play a lot of 3S and there were character specific combos, but it was really only like 3 or 4 combos and you had to just know which characters you did combo A on, and which characters you did combo B on and so on. But in BB it seems it changes with every character. I find it kinda silly and annoying.
For Noel/Nu:
From Tsubame Gaeshi
623D > 66 (dash forward) > 6C > 2B 2C > sj.B j.C > [D] > 66 (air dash) > ]D[ > j.C > 66 (dash forward) > 6C > 623D > 66 > 6C > 3C (623/421D)
or
623D > 6B 2C > sj.B j.C > [D] > 66 (air dash) > ]D[ > j.C > 66 (dash forward) > 6C > 623D > 66 > 6C > 3C (623/421D)
From Tsubame Gaeshi in the corner, just omit the air dash.
The midscreen 3C air dash combo, if I’m not mistaken, works on the whole cast.
From 5B 5C (2 hits) > 3C (all [m]):
[D] > 966 (IAD) > ]D[ j.C > land > 236A > walk forward > 6C > 623D > 66 > 6C > 3C (623/421D)
If you do 5B 5C (2 hits) > 3C[m] in the corner, you can vary it by doing:
- [D] > ]D[ > 6C > 623D > 6C > 3C (623/421D)
- 41236D [C] > 5B > j.B dj.C > j.D > 66 (air dash) > j.C > land > 6C (must be done as soon as you land) > 623D > 6C > 3C (623/421D)
I just went with the basic versions since personally I still lack consistency in matches doing these. And I’m aware all this is old news/may not be 100% correct, but I’m just trying to do my part and help.
How much damage do those do? My corner (and by corner, I mean anywhere near the corner, this combo travels) BnB does 2972 and it works on everyone. It also sets up for shenanigans after.
B -> C (2 hits) -> 3C -> D (hold) -> dash -> D (release) -> 6C -> (staff shoryu) -> 6C -> QCF A, QCF B, QCF C (3 Dragons).
Afterwords its real nasty to use the QCF + D and 6C to combo repeat.
If anyone knows of a way to upgrade this combo to do more damage while keeping it universal, please let me know.
I honestly don’t know the dmg in terms of numbers, but I’m pretty sure they don’t break 3000 usually. I worry more about consistency and momentum moreso than I do damage, but there are times when I do combos near the end of the round and I wish it had done just a little more damage XD
off the top of my head:
istuuC combos do about 3400
3C combos do around around 3000
stick upper combos do < 3000
thats including corner variants as well
imo istuuC combos would be an “upgrade” to 3C combos ending with rekkas.
relaunch nu with 2B 2C
i dropped litchi a week ago though
:annoy:
haha nah, we all need our breaks! currently trying out 'kune to better my knowledge of his games.
don’t forget about itsuu A combos and richii combos…both doing 3700-4200
I think you can get like 3500 off tsubame…but usually tends to be around 2300-3k
yeah if you can do 2C itsuuA combos then by all means do that, i just cant do those with any sort of consistency so i dont really remember the damage
imo you upgrade your ground bnb from 3C combos to itsuuC combos to itsuuA combos to riichi combos. 3C combos remain useful though for when spacing wont let you do the other ones (unless im fuckin up the execution and they all work at any range).
yeah it does kinda suck cuz it feels like giving up, but i think its better given the group of people i play with. we already got a litchi and hes a lot better than i am. in fact i think most people i play with tend to be better than me
ItsuuA combos nick 4K.
All CH combos from midscreen do about 3.5, in corner, 4K.
ItsuuC combos are 3.5-3.6K.
3C[m] combs range from 2.6-3.2K.
Heads up, you relaunch Nu/Noel with 2A 5B too (Litchi too in some situations).
Example: CH 6B[m]/JC[m] dash 5B itsuuA dash 2A 5B JBCD airdash JC 6C tsubame 6C 3C (midscreen).
any decent/flashy rapid cancel combos for litchi yet?
