Hm, who else works with Joe/Doom?
Kinda new to Joe, but im looking at a secondary team of Joe, Strange, Vergil. My first question is, can you get FoF loops off of an air combo ending Six Machine into 7Rings? Secondly, how do y’all feel about Joe+Rapid Slash zoning?

I wanted to see if anyone has ever tried using jump, Air dash forward, j.c, j.s as a combo/starter jump in? I’ve found that if you do addf j.c, j.s, joe does 2-4 hits depending on how high you are AND gets enough frame advantage on hit after j.s to combo into f+mp . I’ve been testing it out in training mode with iron man’s beam assist e.g. m.rhk (recover), call Iron man assist, air dash forward or plink air dash forward, j.c, j.s into f+mp or cr.a.
Unfortunately I don’t play Strange or Vergil so I can’t say either.

To anyone wanting to play Joe/Strange, you can get FoF loop after SJ Six Cannon, but it is kind of finicky. You have to make sure Six Cannon hits as high as possible.
yes. Very literally j.h, j.s (land) f+mp combos. you can’t do it very high, generally i’m 100% on this when I air dash forward at instant air voomerang height. j.s only hits twice.

I’m going to cross reference this to the Rocket Raccoon thread, so bear with me.
I’ve been running Team Kusoru for about a month and I’m starting to see all sorts of problems. If Joe dies, you still have some stuff you can do with Frank / RR, but it’s not too great. If I tag in RR, I risk getting left with Frank perhaps level 1 or whatever level he’s left off at.
Joe is a hard critter to catch, and that’s the plus side that I get a bunch of random damage from pecks and pokes, but the problem lies when people can zone. Trish teams and Doom can blow up Joe pretty easily. His voomerang doesn’t have enough durability to cut through plasma beam. Anyone who lives on the top opposite corner can blow up Joe pretty easily. Weskers that are content with super jumping with gun are annoying, especially when they’re backed with assists.
When Joe and Frank die, Raccoon is left to fend for himself. Sure, he’s small, but I think people are starting to get combos that work on him. Which makes him more of a liability since he doesn’t have many tools either to deal with people who jump, fly back, and shoot stuff at his face. I can’t catch Trish, nor can I catch Doom, which is one of the easiest characters to zone out. I also don’t get safe teleport shenanigans / mixups, so I have to play even more solid since his HP is so low.
Anyone else run into these problems? I know you play this team, Solid Stef, what do you think? I feel that if Frank isn’t leveled, this team is overrated, and there’s a few, but big problems with it. If Frank gets leveled, chances are it’ll be 2v3 anyway with level 4 Frank. Thoughts?
That’s just the risk you take having Frank 2nd. If your first character gets owned, you’re stuck with Frank Wack and a not-that-great anchor.
The saving grace is that Log Trap gives Joe such a safe mixup, that your chances of getting levels for Frank off Joe should be very high. You’re right, though, you have nothing to help you against very strong zoning. My team can outzone (solo) Doom no prob, even if he blasts through a charged Voom, Hawkeye’s gonna slap him with some arrows.
I honestly think that Joe + Ammy Ice + beam assist of your choice it the best possible outlook for a Joe team. Joe + Ice is retardedly good for many reasons, and charged Voom spam + a beam assist alone wins a ton of match ups.
I was actually going to try out Joe/Doom/Ammy this weekend when I had the time. Joe with missiles or plasma beam is pretty good and he builds a good amount of meter for the Doom/Ammy THC stuff.
I use PW / VJ / Vergil, and find Rapid Slash zoning decent, but his assist’s real power is in rushdown. Triple jump twice, call assist, RHK. The opponent will mixed up, put into blockstun, and have to block highs and lows (When in doubt, use overhead). If your opponent gets hit by rapid slash, you can use a slide and continue with a BNB.
I’ve been thinking about cheapifying my team a bit. I’m pretty dead set on keeping Joe + Ammy, but I remember somebody saying how Joe’s Bomb assist and Ammy’s Ice and 2 of the best assists for Taskmaster on Point. Bomb for corner loops and Ice for unblockable setups.
I’ve never used Taskmaster, but I like the idea of putting my best character 2nd (Joe) and having Ammy last; she’s a more consistant anchor than Hawkeye has proven to be. I also feel that Joe goes great in the 2nd spot in general, just for his ability to double/triple jump out of a lot of incoming mixups.
Has anybody had luck with the Task/Joe/Ammy team?
I’ve seen a team run Joe / Task / Ammy before. I think it works out. Not sure how Joe would do 2nd but I’m sure on that team, Task / Joe are interchangable.
I made a crazy team with tons of random hilarous tech. Joe Tron Strange. All Y assists.
How well does Skrull work with Joe?
I’ve been trying to build a secondary team around Joe generally with Skrull on anchor.
I’ve considered and tried:
Viewtiful Joe/Nova/Skrull
Viewtiful Joe/Frank/Skrull
Viewtiful Joe/Doom/Ammy
Which of these three are probably the best? I’m looking more for the first, but is there any character that fits with Joe/???/Skrull that would work really well?
I don’t know much about Skrull but I know Joe and Frank work together so your second team is probably a good choice. Joe/Doom/Ammy however is probably your best team over all. That team has a lot of synergy.
I found a way around Joe’s damage problem, at least in the corner haha. I want to try to land this off a countered bionic arm. Joe and Tron have great synergy, too bad that Joe doesn’t really provide much for Tron outside combo extenders.

I’ve been wondering about Dante/Joe Synergy, and I found if you call joe then do missles as dante, the bomb is carried by the missles and you can confirm with grapple hook and stuff.
Anyways, I use Dante/Joe/Task, I’m looking for a new team using Joe. I was thinking Joe/Vergil/Task or Wesker/Joe/Ammy. Thoughts?

:h::h: from here you can do a cross up, fake crossup or just go low. If you are in DT you can use the double air dash for extra fun. This also works midscreen if there isn’t much hsd.
Try to delay the second :l: after twister. There is kind of a rhythm to it.
This is directed toward zoogstin as his video is what im using to practice the combo. I’m trying the groovy upper series into the sjc m.bomb rhk combo, and the characters keep falling out and i’m not sure if it’s my timing or what, any help?
Also any help as far as doing the mach speed loops mid-screen with ammy’s assist and is the combo mentioned above corner only?
