WTF IS THIS!?
Did you control when you do the normal and when you do the EX SBK?
Detail it, please?
I can see it being godlike if this can actually be controlled!

EDIT: Oooh, you use a hitbox, right? Im not sure if thats cheating… but anyway, its Chun Li. No one is going to complain anyway. lol

That is amazing. I’d love it to be possible on a pad =)

LOLOLOL I figured it was good I had no idea - heres the deal I’ve never used Chun Li - now you can probably see why my Jill was godlike =P I can feral stance cancel anything in less than a second with perfect consistancy, same with weapon changes with ammy same with dante telaports… =P But that’s for another thread, this is for CHUN LI ! =D but yea um I’m not sure how to control it I mean here is the difference in me jumping and dashing and me spinning kick… jump dash = jump (wait ) 2 attack buttons - SBK = jump + attack button… thats it… now getting the EX SBK to come out everytime I donno b/c I don’t know anything about chun li but I’m sure if I spent more than the 20 minutes total in the lab that I have with her ( including the 1 minute to make that video ) I could figure It out =P also as far as cheating, from my understanding people are aloud to have SOCD at EVO ( even tho its cheap as shit ) so technically you could block both ways at once… which I’m NOT able to do - so I’d say this isn’t cheating… now I just need your help to figure out what to do with it… help me out <3

All you need to do is train and keep in mind that you can use the sbk or ex sbk whenever you want.
Now go train Chun Li and kick asses at evo.

Be my Sensei! I need your help =P you’re my Chun Li Idol =P do you happen to have skype or some way that I can private message you? =P

You should leave a message here, so more people can help you out.
And you can also check the whole Chun-Li forum for informations about her =)
I cant “Sensei” anyone, sorry =(

Ok I’ll start practicing =P I heard Chun Li - Storm - _____ is good… I’m thinking Akuma for 3rd… So I’ll prolly try that… Now I just need to learn which combos are good / how to do them, and then also learn how to combo off of EX SBK at any height… any help is much appreciated <3 I’ll start posting videos ASAP ( hopefully in better quality ) don’t hate on my terrible chun li, akuma, and storm… I’m not very good with any of those characters ( YET )

I leave for about three months because I can’t get Shoryuken to let me log on, and I come back and see this godlyness? Do tell, how do you do it? Are you saying that you use the feral crouch cancel on her jumps (press up then press down really fast)? Or are you using a special controller?

I think he is using one of those “fightsticks” that doesn’t have the stick. It’s just buttons for up/down/left/right instead.

What type of pad are you using? The generic Xbox/PS3 kind or a fightpad? If it’s just a regular controller then it could be possible to hold down on the d-pad or stick and move around with the other while maintaining the charge.

CHUN-LI PLAYERS REJOICE!!! I’ve been in the lab with Chun/Storm and have finally discovered a BnB combo that deals anywhere from 900k-1million damage. Couple things to note before hand:

  1. Combo requires Storm as the second character.
  2. The combo utilizes an air tag (the type of tag you use doesn’t matter, but because of float you can’t use down tag, it’ll whiff)
  3. The combo builds exactly 2 meters and uses both of the meters
  4. You need some sort of assist that moves forward and hits horizontally (in this case, so Chun has time to dash after her Kikoanken in time to combo after it, anything like a tatsu, or beam assist a wall bounce assist can work, too.)
  5. Works anywhere on-screen.
  6. The Air Dash portion for Storm is different in the corner. You must so Air L, Air M, Air H, into Flight. Air L to air H whiffs.

Inputs:
Jump H, Jump S, Crouch M, Stand H, Kikoanken, Assist 2, Kikoanken, Dash, S, Headstomp, Headstomp, H Lightning Legs, Jump M, Air H, H Lightning Legs, Jump M, Air M, Air H, H Lightning Legs, Air Tag, (Storm) Air M, Air H, L Lightning Sphere, Air L, Air Dash Up Forward, Air L, Air H, Flight, Air L, Air H, Air Dash Forward, Air H(4x), Air S, Elemental Rage (fullscreen), Kikosho (mash).

If you’re just a sliver off two bars when doing this combo, try adding a crouching H after dashing after the kikoanken - assist part then chaining into launcher. Easily one of the more difficult BnB’s and air dashing and getting the L’s to combo with Storm can be a pain at first, but it’s really rewarding. Another positive to this combo is that the Elemental Rage should almost always put the opponent in the corner and have Storm right next to them on wall bounce. There’s no need to DHC early; you’ll get full Elemental Rage damage as well as Kikosho damage. With practice, this combo can really be consistent. the only negatives I’d say are the level of execution required and and the possibility of being air countered, and since you can’t down tag, you can’t simply trade off ending the combo early to get meter and kill anyway; you gotta do the whole thing.

Hope this helps anyone that. And on a side note, the airdash jig with Storm that I just explained puts them high enough to do the TAC infinite if you want to instead of using up your meter, in case no one knew. Just replace Air S with M Lightning Sphere, Air L, Up Tag.

I just saw this today, and I’m trying to find the trick to this and if it’s possible to do on a regular stick, i want it so bad. It’s a buff for you! abuse it.

Hello Chun li fans. First off, I’d like to thank everybody for sharing their knowledge and technology discovered for this character. Chun li is definitely one of those characters that you must put in the time and work to make her effective. I was wondering if anyone has been keeping a running list of combos that have been continually added to this thread. The reason I ask is because i have a goal in mind—to test out every combo that has been graciously provided on this thread for Chun li and come up with a Combo Specific Index. This Index would be clean, organized, and a wonderful addition to this thread. Here is a small example of how PART of this Index would be organized:

The Combo Index would be a COMPLETE list of every combo that our “Community of Awesomeness” has come up with since the release of UMVC3. (Including the UMVC3 Guide Combos) After compiling and testing out all of the combos we would then be able to create… “The Best of the Best Combos” Which would be based off of which combos did the most damage, built the most meter, put you in a greater position, or set you up for a reset opportunity. The Index would also provide a sub level guide that incorporates “Level of Execution” to help newcomers learn better Bread n Butter combos that aren’t at a high level of execution.

Once again the example above is just a small example of what the whole guide would provide. We can’t forget about lvl 1, 2, and 3 of x-factor combos and what capabilities are available during them.

If anyone is interested in this project please get back to me. I would like to form an alliance with whoever would like to make this Guide happen. BTW, if someone has already started a project like this…please let me know… I would love to help out anyway I could.

Thanks for all your input Chun Fans, I’m looking forward to hear your thoughts about this projects.

ALSO, special thanks to Ludthinks, Brian Kasugano, and Ray Ray for their awesome combo videos. Great Inspiration Guys.

What is Chun-li’s jump loop? Does she have a good one?

I did a slight variation of this and got 728,300.

Air :h: > :h: > Kikoanken > Kikoanken > Tenshokyaku :l: > Air :s: > Air Spinning Bird Kick :h: > :s: > Air :h: > Air :s: > Yosokyaku > Hyakuretsukyaku :m: > Air :h: > EX Spinning Bird Kick > Kikosho

Quick question: Can you do this version in the corner? Whenever I try to do her Tenshokyaku, Air S into Air SBK the opponent ends up outside the corner. So is my timing just wrong or is there a variation you have to do? Though I’m not that concerned because my corner combo with her does more damage anyways. I’m just hoping I can add the Tenshokyaku bit to it to add more damage.

Yes, I’ve been able to do it in the corner.

I’m I supposed to mash any of the Lighting Legs?
