the last match is repeated

@ WarriorBySand

your Gen is quite awesome, I got goose bumps watching you land those combos, do you play pad or stick, am a Gen player and I use pad, I can only land gekiro and the roll consistently but the hands combo I cant time it well. I want to upload my match, will you pls review them for me and give me pointers?

great game, your skills are legendary, pls can you help me improve my game below is one of my matches

DP is a terrible idea on wake up. When you encounter safe jumps or just meaty jump ins, you’ll learn why. Either just block, or if it’s not a safe jump, use ex Gekiro. On hit confirmed PPP s.mp, try to end combos with Gekiro instead of hands. You’ll get knock down, and then if you have super/ultra, you can punish his teleport on his wake up.

Don’t roll against shotos with 3 frame reversals. Roll is -3 on block. You especially don’t want to do that against Akuma because he’ll score a knock down and you’ll have to deal with the Vortex or his keep away.

Try AAing with KKK c.hk if he’s jumping in without fireballs. Or going A2A with KKK j.hp/j.mp. Sometimes it’s better to jump back.

Nice reads with the fireball punishes with ultra. Avoid random jump ins… a better akuma will punish all of them. He shouldn’t have been jumping in on you without fireballs, too.

Sometimes I use Oga Feints for movement. Don’t focus him on the ground, because you’ll eat his s.hk.

Dunno, sometimes you had solid spacing so you could react with sweep. Just don’t drop combos and eat demon. You’re still better than 90% of Gen players.

Thanks for the tips, am still learning to improve my reaction time, and maybe its just me or is xbox ssf4 slower than sf4 vanilla PC, cos it sure feels slower lol. the cHK (crane) is hard for me to punish with and most of the time it wiffs, I normally block meaty jump ins and only crouch dp if I anticipate a jump in. I am addicted to hands lol cos am afraid the kicks will wiff.

thanks for the input, I appreciate it

Oga Crossup setups vs Akuma:

thanks but how do you walk without losing charge

You have a little margin between “down” and “up” in charge moves. the trick is use this margin to walk a bit.

Some of these setups work in other shotos and some not. For example, the third one with ryu doesnt work, but if you dont crossup and use the medium oga, then it works.

pretty good gen. kinda random, but good…

This is another of my matches, I lost to my greatest online rival which happens to be an akuma player, damn the 2 frame lag, pls all inputs/criticism are welcome. yeah I should have used the oga cross up but in the heat of battle it doesnt really come to mind, and for the sake of range i always backthrow instead of front throw. pls messiah how do I land the mk into hands consistently?!!!

Vanilla Gen plays so different from Super Gen though! Just watch old Yeb and Jibbo videos… If I were you I wouldn’t worry so much about mk hands, unless you’re going to keep playing vanilla. AE is just a couple of months away.

Cool to see the TC into ex hands > sweep combo in action. If it also places you in oga crossup range from some characters, it’ll be really sweet.

I also like a claw player that’s rocking a mask IRL as well! I assume he throws it off and laughs at you if he gets a stun

new amiyu

Amiyu was awesome… it was a pity that he messed up by wasting his super on the second round against Eita, should he had just fadc’d that combo, he would be in much better shape for the last round.

the match dr.h is talking about

Damn Amiyus second round against that Ken player… Hype for AE, anyone?

amazing Amiyu… pity for that couple of mistakes in the end. He could have beaten that Akuma

AE Gen is even better than Vanilla, his normals are faster his oga is faster damn he has 2 new chain combos. The master is back.
