A 360 pad player playing Gen that well (with real combos mind you) really says something. Excellent!

And good shit NightWalker! Nice to see other pad players in action! If you’re having trouble with raw MKhands I recommend giving Mad Catz fightpad a shot. It only took me couple of tries to pull MKhands with it.
There’s nothing special about doing those combos on a pad. I think people are still hyping pad way too much. Good matches anyway.
You’re wrong, it’s that people hype sticks too much. That’s the whole point.
Stick is infintely superior, but not so in street fighter4 in general. Easy input leniency etc. Playing Viper, Gen, and el fuerte etc. (well, his rsf combo) on a pad is bothersome compared to the fluency a stick offers. Games like virtua fighter, now those pretty much require a stick…
Stick is superior for sure, but not by any means infinitely. I played CvS2 (A-Groove mind you) on a pad way back in the day to some decent degree of success.
The fact that he uses a regular 360 pad though is something, as it’s probably the worst pad ever made for fighting games.

the only things i would suggest are (besides punishing blocked headstomps with U1 like asiantom said, thats an absolute must against bison)…
when cancelling hands, do it on the 4th hit (more damage and stun)
and i personally would not FADC if the hands were blocked, you have all the time to decide to hit confirm that or not… otherwise i honestly think thats pretty much a waste of meter
unless you specifically want to go for a tick throw, of course
My only advice is if you want to tick throw I always have better luck with low short, low short, low jab, mk-kara throw.
i play here with a broken pad but his bison is really great
You guys should show off your Gen skills at “Peaceful Jay’s” livestream, or even “SRKlive”. I’ve already played a few matches, and I did pretty well against Sabr3, Terry Kineda, and John Choi.
Though, I did lose. but you guys should make yourselves known!!
yea i got into preaceful jays stream a few times although most of the time i play cody. it was not pretty lol. that just shows i have a lot to learn i just i wish i could learn faster. uhh i wish i still lived in Arizona. Oklahoma starting to get stuff going on around here but it not enough.

does anyone know if the Kara throw range differs between MP-Kara Throw and MK-Kara Throw?

MP Kara doesn’t have a long range compared to the other karas of Gen. It has less range than HP Kara, which has equal to or less range than LK/HK Kara, which yet travel shorter than MK Kara. All in mantis btw, I wouldn’t consider anything in crane to be worth Kara-ing, maybe except for c.MP.
I have time to play PS3 tonight so I’ll specifically state the range difference in training squares later.
