It’s an exaggeration. Damage has nothing to do with it anyways.
LOL love the 37 win streak that he has there on the one he was playing a ryu. Wonder if was all Gen though.
Since Redwolf apparently sat on a 210 win streak with Gen at one time, it’s not impossible.
Just want to give a heads up that Rhyllis has a bunch of Gen videos on his youtube account if you haven’t seen them. His playstyle is interesting - he has too be the Gen that uses crane stance the most, sometimes winning games without using hands at all. Good to see he hasn’t given up his Gen.
He’s been slow with his videos lately but he said he’s start back up before new Blazblue comes out. Always enjoyed Rhyllis’s videos.
Okay here are some videos if you want to critique them go ahead.

Too many EX Gekiros, he didn’t block sometimes or didn’t punish so you got away with it this time.
-
You almost never used crane mode, it has different walking speed, focus attack range and jump arc so it really throws people of. In addition he overhead (crane hp) is slightly faster now so try to incorporate that into your game. The rare ocassion you did go into crane mode, I saw you doing j.mk>c.lk. Don’t do c.lk if the j.mk is blocked because c.lk is 7- frames on block, again the Akuma did not punish luckily for you.
-
You did a empty jump crane j.hk target combo> roll, however you (I assume) FADC’ed the roll for safety. But mp roll is relatively safe on block either way, so wasting 2 bars on that was not necessary.
I applaud the fact you did not use much s.mp>smk>hands and instead hitconfirmed into Gekiro.
typo: overhead is mp
I’ve been doing the fadc throw after a block string, only to be shoryu’d out if it and mostly teched. It hardly ever works. I use it as a baiting tool from time to time but I don’t see any reason to fadc after a block string. It isn’t safe at all and it’s a waste of meter. Granted, it does look cool when you do it.
- It’s a knock down. 2. you are playing mashing scrubs. 3. learn to build meter faster. 4. It’s a useful tool to throw people off especially non Shotos characters like Chun. 5. It works for me 98% of the time. 6. I usually to it near the end of the round as most people don’t expect it, or I do it early then later on if I have to I’ll FADC to LK Gekiro.
:china:
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll try and tighten up my game a bit :china:
1.The Fadc -> Grab isn’t a gen shenanigan, every character can do it. It’s so commonly used that anyone can see it coming. Everyone who has done it has been punished for it and wasted precious meter.
2. It’s common sense to shoryu someone out of a blockstring.
3. That was never the issue.
4. Your Mileage May Vary - Television Tropes & Idioms
5. Stop playing scrubs who can’t tech.
6. I’ll give you that one since I too use fadc -> gekiro at times.
Though saying it isn’t viable was stupid on my part, it does work for pressure at times. But I just go for a better set up, like the lk gekiro you mentioned.
I never said it was a shenanigan only for gem but when all u do is block string > bait rinse repeat, it throws people off when u do fadc near the end of the round.
Nice one from onifuzGenshiro tQupw63ZjmY]YouTube - SSF4 Ranked 26 Fuma Sensei [gouki] VS Genshir0 [gen
Good shit to Onifuz, but Fuma Sensei seemed pretty lack luster to me.
I think it shows how useless BP is if you want to gauge your opponents skill level. Out of all 5 rounds played I didn’t see him AA once, not even a down fierce. AA should be a day one lesson when you’re learning fundamentals -_-
ya I subscribe to Oni’s videos as well and when I watched this last night I thought to myself. WTF I never get that many free jump-ins when I play most people.
Yo tom you play on psn or 360
I have been around in this forum for a while, but never posted anything…
Today, i uploaded some vids of my games on youtube…
