not anybody is a pro and it’s insulting to say to someone he should drop his main only he isn’t the best. in particular with such an hard to play char like gen. i bet EVERY one of us does suck the one or the other day. be it pro or noob.

Thanks dude, in watching it again I can’t help but cringe at some of the silly mistakes I made but it just wasn’t one of those games where I had full command of what I was doing. I generally do a lot of Oga resets so I can cross up easier after but I missed simple punishes and a totally open game winning combo at the end. That and for some reason I kept going for low techs thinking my opponent was going for ticks. Oh well it was still a W. Hopefully I can talk Dodgers into capturing a few of my cooler matches. Had a brutal one against an Akuma one yesterday that I had to save.

Who are you to judge who can or can’t play a character? Just because he’s worse than you? Compared to yeb, we all suck, so aren’t we making Gen look bad as well? We might as all switch to Ryu, for god’s sake, but then, compared to Daigo, we would make Ryu look bad. We should probably quit playing this game altogether, since there will always be somebody that’s better than us.

I wouldn’t call it a waste if it finishes the match. Frankly if you know you can finish a round by burning all your meter, do it. Because you might not get a chance to use it later if you just lose.
I dunno, if I have a good lead in the round I will save the meter for the next unless I absolutely have to burn it to win the current round. In this specific case the Gen player was playing to win the final round. So burning the meter was a bit excessive but certainly nothing he really needed to save it for.

i meant to say he burned the whole thing for a mixup when he could have won outright with a super after he hit s.mp, sfpxxhands. instead he fadced. seems kinda silly.

True I guess he could have just gone into super. It is just online though so perhaps he was just playing flashy for fun or just trying something out.
Oni Fuz does it all the time, even when it’s not in the last round. To me it seems a waste of meter imo because Gen’s super is just too valuable to me.
