It seems to be inconsistent between characters. I had issues connecting it on Rashid.
Anyone got any tips for hard survival mode? Got through easy and medium, but with the command grab being virtually useless due to CPU reaction times I’m getting stuck in the 30s.
What are her goto blockstrings and frametraps? I am still trying to learn my fundamentals and am pressing buttons in the hope to pressure/expose my opponent but usually end up getting owned. I am guessing you need to use some of her crouch normals in those strings?
st.LK, st.LK, cr.MP is my favorite I think. You can go for a regular grab after the first st.LK and if they guess wrong CH st.LK, cr.MP is a combo. You can take a step forward after the second st.lk and go for a grab or a command grab.
You can also just down/back after the cr.MP to condition your opponent to poke you. That’ll set up a st.HP CC.
5LK, 5MK is a solid frame trap, with 5LK being +3 on block, and 5MK having 6 frame startup means it beats every button inc. lights because of priority.
5LK, command grab should also scoop anything that isn’t a jump/backdash/invincible.
After a LP bolt on hit, a regular grab or any light button is a solid option. Possibly 2MP but I haven’t tested that out.
Unless they’ve changed it since the beta, CH cr.mp, cr.mp will only reach against crouchers. It’s the best button to press against characters with crouching 3f normals and iffy against characters with standing. It looks like they’ve made a couple of more cr. lps 3f since the beta though
It depends on your goals and how experienced you are at fighting games
If you want to win with Laura at the moment you need to be very mechanically sound and be able to get inside peoples’ heads quickly, this requires a lot of experience
I understand that your goal may not be to be the most successful SF player though, so try her and see if she’s fun. Try everybody else though too
i’ve been trying laura out. shes fun, has great, but short ranged normals and her damage is not bad despite having very simple combos.
my question is about her ex elbow. It has armor but i noticed it doesnt kick in from frame one. does anyone know when does the armor kicks in?
also, her ex command grab. is there any use for this aside from a few gimmicky setups? the fact that she has to take a step forward makes the start up slow as fuck.
I sometimes don’t land meaties that i see from guides for people doing a quick rise. are meaty hits always supposed hit quick rises? or do they only connect if the person is not immediately blocking after a quick rise?
I haven’t tested it, but maybe ex grab works after anti-air MP as well. I know you can f+HP and hit them and ex grab just has one startup frame more (18/19). As with f+HP, you can be hit out of it, however maybe they think we did the armored elbow and try to block anyway.
Simple question : Dash or Vskill ?
When to cancel into dash or cancel dash into something ? When to cancel into vskill ?
For now, I use mostly the vskill : it covers a bigger range but is less safe because of the number of active frames.
What would you advise ?
