laugh>>> Okey, but are you able to get a hold of them if you can? or at least white Crown-buttons with black around them?
I don’t know man, if laugh is saying the buttons aren’t worth your time, I’d listen to him. The man certainly knows his shit about Korean parts.
NAP>>> Yeah, it seems perfectly reasonable, but I’m still looking for that ultimate Tekken-stick. I wanna pretend that I’m at the Green Arcade and playing with the same buttons as those koreans xD
laugh>>> Okey. The colour is very important to me, and they can’t be that bad can they? The only buttons I have played with is sanwa’s, and I guess that isn’t much to compare to?
Thanks for the fast response. Since you’re saying that, is there a specific place to look for a tutorial or something to give me a little more insight? Or would I be better off just hoping someone lets me know how from here?
Sorry for asking more questions, lol.
EDIT-
Nevermind, all I had to do was look on the second page… =/

Should apply to the Crown stick as well, right?
Couldn’t you just swap out the white plungers and put them in the crowns? I don’t know much about Korean parts, but unless the rim is bigger/smaller than a crown one, I would imagine it’s doable…
Yeah, my one beef with crown buttons is the limited color schemes.
does anyone know if the lever selection on this stick listed as “new” is a myoungshin fanta or taeyoung?

what colour can you get for crown buttons?
Stupid question but how do you remove the small metal ring off of the stick. I just received my Fanta and I dont want to do anything stupid and break it lol.
Ah the e-clip.
So I’m assuming your Fanta came unassembled.
Just take a pair of pliers, use them to grab the circular end, and pull with a decent amount of force to pull it off the shaft. It’s durable enough to withstand this force.
O ok cool thanks just took it off.
do crown buttons feel similar to sanwa or seimitsu? If you czngive a detailed answer as there are different typres of sanwa and seimistu buttons out there.
thanks in advance
I made some measurements for two different joysticks:
I thought I´d share them with you ;).
hey laugh if you are still in korea, have you ever been to yeongdongpo market, they have a building there and on the 3rd floor it’s filled in every corner with arcade scrap spare parts and stuff waiting to be sold or recycled.
what brands are they selling there, i bought a stick and a few switches, they also have microswitches at that place for a really good deal considering the exchange rates in euro, but the buttons on the other hand really didn’t gave me a feeling of reliability, they were pretty high and it felt like the plunger would’nt activate the switch before 1mm of course. any idea what brand that would be ?
where do you go to get parts in korea, yongsan really disapointed me they only had one shop with electronic supplies.
Whats up everyone. Laugh, is there a stiffness difference between the Myuoung shin and Taeyoung Fanta?
While looking at some of these Tekken cabs it appears that the stick is looser than that of a Myoung shin Fanta. Im asking because perhaps I could be wrong and the sticks in the video could just be a little bit more worn.

http://shoryuken.com/f177/ultimate-korean-arcade-part-faq-188268/ - According to this thread, the force required to engage the microswitches on the Myoungshin is 0.22kg. It also states that the Crown CWL303, with a required force of 0.17kg, is used in Tekken 6 machines in Korea.
@ministry77: There’s a stiffness difference between the Myoungshin and the Taeyoung, as you can see in the Korean Arcade Part FAQ link eMps posted.
The Crown CWL303 is the stock stick in the Tekken 6 cabinets, but people usually replace them with Myoungshin Fanta’s, because they’re better (I think Laugh told me this, he’ll be able to confirm).
In the youtube-vid of Ji3MoonAce, the stick is a Myoungshin Fanta. The sticks are idd loose, as the sticks are used frequently (I’ve asked idmaxi about this, he’s the one who recorded the youtube-vid), but the Myoungshin is quite loose, it has a low stiffness (see the Korean Part FAQ). I can easily wavedash like Ji3moonAce on mine Myoungshin Fanta on P2 side
Thanks eMps and DeTrum. My bad for the laziness I didnt know such a thread existed here.
I do decently well with my wave dashing on the M. Fanta but I still feel like its a tad too stiff for me.
Should I consider a Crown 303 or just work it out with the M.Fanta? The thread said the Crown 303 used to be of a lower quality but now it is good. Any input is appreciated.
When did you start playing on the Myoungshin? The rubber pad inside the stick is usually a bit stiff, you have to play on it a lot, so the rubber will loosen. When i recieved my Korean stick, I also felt that my myoungshin was a bit too stiff. But the rubber pad became a bit loose, after a month or two. Also, i didnt know how to use a stick, so it was harder to move it. But now, i’ve developed my muscles, after lots of wavedashing, so it became easier to move I kind of got used to it.
You could get the crown, but I’d rather get used to the Myoungshin first. The stiffness difference between the cwl303 and the myoungshin isn’t that big, either. They are both quite soft.
I, personally, actually want to get the Taeyoung Fanta, because of the bigger diagonal range and the hard stiffness. That’s probably a stick that going to take a while to break in.
