Korean arcade parts discussion

Does anybody know why it has different switches for the directions? Anyway, the Kaze stick is interesting and it does have a removable bat top doesn’t it? It would be awesome if someone added the clear Sanwa bat top. It would look better than the Fujin 2.

You would think it is removable, but mine appears to be epoxied on. I tried to remove it, but started to strip the the flat head screwdriver spot on the bottom of the shaft. If it’s not epoxy it’s a hell of a loc-tite.

The Kaze is an interesting lever, the tension feels lighter initially due to the little divits in the rubber grommet, but the further you throw the more tension is applied.

They should fit because of the rim but it might not be enough to keep it in place. 203C or 207H buttons should be better.

The top can’t be removed because it’s glued. Gersung is for up direction because it’s harder to push in so no accidental jumps.

If it is based a Myoungshin, than the shaft may be replaced with a JLF shaft right? I would try that with the Kaze. I heard that you could swap the Fanta shaft for a JLF shaft, the epoxy is there because the bat top, unlike a Jappanese stick, unscrews itself. The JLF shaft is probably what it is using, considering that the shaft on the Kaze has that screwdriver spot on the bottom and a Sanwa bat top.

Just looked at the picture of the 303MJ on makestick.com, and it shows the stick with GSM A031623A3s.

I am so confused. If my 309MJ doesn’t come with GSM V1623A2s where do i buy them from?

Even if I got the rubber nuts from etokki? Worst case I guess I’ll whip out the hot glue gun

Damn on a Fighting Edge? You are crazy.

Here.

Here’s to hoping those rubber nuts work then

The nuts will probably work but when it gets loose, it’s too much trouble to open it just to tighten it. For a 30mm hole, it’s not worth it to use the nuts.

Just spoke to rohan, a staff member over at makestick, and he has explained why the 309MJ’s switches keep changing. Crown cannot keep supplying gersungs as they do not have the stock. They have now started supplying 309MJs with Panasonic Matsushita switches instead. There the same Thai switches found on the Kaze.

Correct. For that reason, they always change the switch model to another as they don’t have the stock left with them anymore.
For those of you who’re quite sensitive with switch models, unfortunately it will never be able to get the exactly same model you’re looking for so you guys have to deal with it.

Apparenly Saint is working on a lever. Dunno if it’s just custom mods or direct help from a company but JDCR using it too on his stream at sWitch arcade. Hopefully more details surface.

So four out of five player levers are or will be available. The only one I know didn’t surface was Crown’s Crazy Dongpal lever which was based on the 307.

There is the Fanta upgrade kit which has those switches.

That said, get em before Focus Attack runs out again.

I was thinking, considering that there the same switches as the Kaze, i could try it out with a single GSM-V1623A2 for up, just to see if what the Kaze offers is just a gimmick or not. I don’t really know how to upload pictures but this is what the 309MJ looks like now.

I got a switch named as ‘GSM-V1623A2’ in IST’s warehouse, is that what you mentioned previously and looking for yourself?
I was noticed by IST sales manager that they’re getting supplied of this model from Gersung continuously. Dunno when it’s gonna be out of stock, but at least I can offer this model for a long time.
If you’re intersted in buying one, you can place an order at our global website Makestick.com. However, I still need to upload it as a product on website so please give me some time to do that first.
I will ship the switch as your payment is confirmed through EMS. Plus, please remind yourself that the international shipping cost is really expensive so you better purchase other products along with.

If you have further enquiry, please feel free to e-mail me at anytime. My e-mail address is rohan_sung@outlook.com just in case you don’t know or forgot it.
** I can’t replace the switch already installed on Crown levers to the model I’m mentioning that you have to purchase the switch by itself. Please understand in kind.

Thank you

When signing up for Makestick from the US, which address field should be filled with what? Getting a little confused by the address and detailed address fields.

If I recall correctly, I put my street address twice.

Now ‘GSM-V1623A2’ is available for purchasing at Makestick.com.

Thank you guys

Thank you. =)
Is the 5 pin connector included in the purchase or sold separately? And is there a way to estimate shipping cost and import tax for people in Great Britain? The reason why is because i often cannot afford buying from international sellers. i Purchased once a Qanba Q1 for the equivalent of $116 :o

Can anyone tell me the difference between the 309MJ and 309(help me)? I am now considering the helpme lever with the japanese mount. This is because it has been made with a tekken player and that might make the stick better for Tekken. The reason I want to buy 309MJ, is because it is supposedly a great rival to the myoungshin. I originally was going to drill my T.E case for the myoungshin but i considered crowns sticks so i would not have to butcher my T.E with a step drill. If crown makes a stick better or as good as the myoungshin let me know, i want to buy the 309MJ from what i hear of it, but if there are sticks that are better tell me!

Also I found a seller in europe that sells Crown CWL303s in orange and green, and a Crown CWL305 in voilet, if anyone is interested.http://www.arcadeshop.de/index.php?cPath=73_111 they are German i believe, so i do not know if the ship internationally, but i it might be helpful after reading this…

The big differences are that the 309MJ has a smaller neck gate to allow similar results like the normal 309 while still working with Japanese mounts and the 309MJ has a slightly lighter silicone grommet. On a side by side comparison, the 309 levers and the Myoungshin Fanta feel different but seem to have similar design choices: accessibility and balance compared to the rest. If you are getting started in trying them, the 309MJ is pretty good for what it does. If you do go for a normal 309 or Fanta lever and want to put it on a primarily Japanese arcade stick, you will need to drill more holes to a mounting plate to allow the neck gate to go through as well as stay put on the lever itself.
