Interestiiing. I would almost consider that unplayable, as Iâm spoiled by 50a (as a reference a stock Myoungshin can rate anywhere from 40-50 [or perhaps thereâs just more of the now discontinued âsoftâ M grommet out there in the wild screwing up the consensus]). You donât find the deflection being too great, or the neutral action too slow for you? I have a 40a M grommet & itâs fineâplayable. But itâs certainly fallen out of favor, with preference given to the 45a & 50a grommets. A Taeyoung is right around 55a (in my estimation) and thatâs right on the cusp of being unplayable (with the wrong switches). Maybe when playing with a Fanta silicone grommet, those numbers arenât as telling?
Is the ISTmall Gmarket page the only place to obtain a 309M shipped to the US? The joystick is about $23, but shipping is also about $25 which is a little too steep for me at the moment. EMS is the only option available, it seems, which explains the cost.
Still no word on MakeStickâs site coming back up yet.
When it comes to neutral, even the light ones seem to be ok at least when they are out of the box.
For Crown, their earlier silicone grommets ranged from 55g to 60g. The reason for the 60g model is that itâs for arcades since various people use it at any given time. The former is for home users probably assuming less use. Regardless of each version, they have good neutral return, enough push that it isnât too hard. The 309 introduced 35g grommets. If trying the Green Fanta does provide help to this case, lighter is a trend at least for Tekken.
The FLF silicone grommet I can say now feels a lot less than 35g. I should be getting Crownâs 309M lever today so I can do some more direct, albeit less technical, testing. That lever I believe brings in 25g.
Iirc, my shipping through their website was around $20 to $27.
GMarket didnt give me a shipping number so it came out of the blue today.
I tried the 309M for a quick bit. It uses Gersung A2 switches which is different from the A3 that was in my normal 309. I was having trouble using my normal 309 yesterday during KOF. I kept dropping inputs because of my hand tendencies. The 309M was a lot more consistent. The design of that is the same sans the full neck gate but rather a half neck. The tension is a lot lighter but fortunately, itâs not really a nuisance. Maybe it would be a problem for the normal Korean levers I dunno.
Oh yeah that Zero Delay stick I have been trying to find out who made it, itâs Helpme himself actually.
I have a few questions. Where can i get info and purchase a 309m Samducksa and a Makestick Pro? and are the micro switches in the 307 ST that Focus Attack sells any good or should i replace them? Im thinking of buy this if i cant find a 309.
Here you go. The 303M is there too if you want to get that. Look for the small plane logo next to the product names which indicates international shipping. They will ship either the Hori FC-4 padhacked Makestick Pro or the Brook Universal Fighting Board version.
If the 307ST switches are the Panasonic/Matsushita switches, I think they are fine just not for that lever. The Gersung switches are better for those but that actuator I think still feels terrible.
The 309M I just got has Gersung GSM-V1623A2 switches which feel really good. At first I thought it wouldnât be great when using it with my 303/307 hybrid mod.
Can you confirm that the 309M came with a Japanese mount as the photo suggests? I seem remember that was talk a number of pages back saying there would be one with a Korean mount and one with a Japanese mount.
Edit: looks like makestick is back up but donât know for how long. The 309M hasnât been added either
IST making a Makestick Pro with a Vewlix layout! Hopefully the international site or GMarket will have em. The start button is now on the top right instead of being next to the main face buttons. For me, the layout change makes the stick look a lot better, even if itâs basically a plastic clone version of the Qanba Q3/Eightarc ISO.
Also will try to get both the 309, 309M and FLF lever reviews on IPLAYWINNER soon. Video will also be part of the plan!
Just checked but apparently ISTâs Gmarket store removed both the 303m and 309m unfortunately. I will probably contact Rohan soon about it if he is still part of it to see if it, and more stuff, will come to the international store.
UPDATE: Looks like the site is planning to add stuff in the near future. No specific dates nor what will be there but Rohan acknowledged some of my requests as considerable items.
Edit:
Before the full review, can you tell me just how much the 309M feels & performs like that of the 309? Like we spoke about the 307KMS & 307JMS being however close in comparison, are truly not 1:1. How much closer does the 309M get to the feel & performance of the standard 309, now with the 309M having the hopefully added benefit of having the shallow collar?
Hi there, this is IST SOLUTION.
We are really appreciated for your interests on Vewlix layout and we finally have made a fully equipped form of it to test before beginning of sales.
The purchasing will be available soon, through our global market site âMakestick.comâ or Focus Attack.
For any further questions, concerns or enquiries, please contact our staff member Rohan Sung through e-mail.
He will attempt to get in touch with you as quickly as possible, surely the answers will be given within 24 hours.
The 309M imo feels very very similar to its full fledged model. The neck collar gate thingy in the 309m feels just as consistent as the normal one. The elements that can be distinguishable from my tests were the slightly lighter tension and the switches in the 309M. Both are from Gersung but there are subtle differences that sort of affect my hand tendencies. That probably will be my biggest criticism which I will delve on soon.
So they isnât a uniformity of componentsâaside from the collar/funnelâacross the 309 & 309M? Interesting. I guess that is to suggest that if one acquired the stock grommet & stock switches from the 309, is it safe to say in your estimation that itâd be 1:1?
