Korean arcade parts discussion

Hey, it could be possible. Qudans has had success lately. If people pay attention, they’ll notice he plays on a Crown lever on his Razer panthera. Since Knee and qudans are old friends and now teammates, maybe qudans might have convinced Knee to give Crown levers a try.

IMO, Crown seems to be most active at coming out with “signature” levers. In fact, I think they’re the only one. Example: help me, infiltration, dong pal. So possibly knee could be added to the list.

But yes, 369 lever sounds trollish

about to put in my order for the green setup. can anyone tell me if i can use this handle? https://www.focusattack.com/sanwa-lb-30-n-s-battop-white/

just wanted to make sure before purchasing.

It’ll fit no problem. Just don’t buy the clear one because it will sit top high since it sits flush with shaft rather than passing through it.

If there’s one player I’d buy a signature lever from, it’s Knee.

I dunno, learning about just how much Saint is into the technical side of his controllers makes me more likely to buy a signature korean lever from him than anyone else.

Does anyone know where I can order just the green battop lever for the Fanta? I bought a clear Sanwa battop but I don’t like how it feels on the golden fanta shaft compared to the stock shaft/battop combo. I’d like a different color besides black tho. Please lemme know. Thanks!

The green tops haven’t been manufactured in years. You can probably find one in the secondhand market in Korea or paint a black one.

I just send all the Golden Core first batch (and all orders too). hopefully it will arrived soon and we can spend holiday to tune our korean lever.

Small update:
so I got many question about Green Arcade tension. From what I have learn and try, Green Arcade silicone tension is between clear and green GF silicone.
Using Golden Core it won’t make knock and don’t add tension (due to chamfered edge), So the Green GF silicone when combine with GF Core will make it feel almost like Green Arcade tension.

so for anyone who want mimic Green Arcade setup Using Golden Fanta Mod, here is the setup:
Myoungshin Body/Case
GF 7mm shaft
GF 4.5mm Actuator
GF Core
GF Green 45 Silicone
GF Switch Mounting
GF Switch Support

  • the discontinued AM5 Switch :frowning: . if you can’t find it, maybe the closest one is Gersung A3 (credit for phantomnaut who test it using 14,5mm).

We have achieved so much progress in 2017, thank you for your support and contribution.
Merry Christmas and have a wonderful holiday friends.

How does Etokki have the green fanta then? Old stock I guess? I would just buy one of theirs but I don’t need the whole lever. Just the shaft portion. Seems silly for me to spend $25 on the whole stick plus another $28 shipping just to get a green lever on my Fanta…lol. I guess thats my only option at this point. Not really into painting it myself. Anyway thanks for your response.

Here is my Korean Panzer 3 I just got this morning and put together. A guy off twitter did the art. If you’ve been interested in the Panzer 3, now is the time to get one. They have a newer controller body called the “3i” which lets you use Japanese, Korean, American, etc levers in one case. Before you had to buy either Japanese or Korean mount versions. With that being said, the original Korean model is now on sale at a great discount until they run out of stock on it. Go pick one up! I paid $150 shipped for mine! It was the DIY kit of course and I had a Brook UFB from my Panzer Hitbox to throw in it. Keep in mind you’ll need to get a PCB as well. It’s best to buy the PCB from Jasen as he solders connections on the Brook UFB and PS4 Audio+ boards specifically for the Panzer.

They don’t. It’s been sold out for years.

I just went back to the site and noticed the availability is in fact out of stock. Boy that sucks. Oh well. Maybe I will get the gumption to go ahead and paint my black lever. We’ll see. Thanks for your input again.

I’ve plan to order a Makestick case from makestick.com. Is that case worth a money?

And now I am try searching on this forum and found that someone has an issue with delay of email replying from makestick.com even some product isnt been shipped and no reply from makestick.com at all. Is someone have the same or different issue with makestick recently?

Thanks in advance

You need to login to your account to get status updates / tracking for your package. Yes responses can be slow in email. But I’ve had no problems getting my stuff in Canada. And if there is issues, Rohan is a great help.

@Khrys Yeah I had the same experience with Makestick like 6months ago when ordering a few things. No tracking or notification then 3 weeks later it arrived at my door

its probably changed recently then. i ordered a fujin and kaze recently from makestick and the shipping info was in my order history like YKD has mentioned.

Hello Fellow Korean Parts friends!
First just want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, or Holiday, depending on whatever you may celebrate.
Just wanted to stop in to say Christmas came a day early for me. Big thanks to @wazwuz for the Golden Core! Figured I would share a couple pictures here before I give it a test.

Very impressed! I’m using the stiffest of the 3 springs, and it keeps the lever pretty snug. It won’t spin unless I put force on it. Wasn’t too bad getting the clip on. Anyone used to using a 2LB spring on a JLF should have no issue.

No wobble at all. Very smooth, with no rubbing that I can feel.

Hope to hear what everyone else has to say about theirs!
Victor truly is such a great guy for doing this, and everyone here helping give him input on making these parts. I might not be a long time member here, but glad we all share an interest in these parts. I can’t wait to see what 2018 brings. Especially the Golden Lever project.
Take care!
James.

awesome, this time shipping was quick.
I notice some member already got his Golden Core. So excited to hear feedback about the new tech.

I got the Golden Core a couple of days ago. I have been trying it with my 35A grommet by itself and with the springs. When just using the core only, I get a bit of wobble but not enough to be flimsy. It gets stable rather quickly. What’s interesting for my case is that when I install each spring, it looks like it’s actually creating a bit more wobble but not in the same way as using a normal plastic bushing/spool. After letting go from the edges of the collar, there is a bit of normal wobble (due to the grommet and the 14.75mm actuator moving around) then does small shakes when it’s stabilizing. I am sure that’s probably normal which I am fine with.

When it comes to performance, I am bit mixed. I really like all the springs since they provide a small push in tension when it matters. The harder the spring, the more obvious the push. My KBD-ing felt a lot more consistent with the springs. The problem is when it comes to rolling the shaft. I use my thumb to roll the shaft when I do crouch dashes, KBD, etc. The spring, actuator and the Core feel like they are being grinded which scared me sometimes. As much as it really helps with motion consistency, the feel of this combination somewhat irritates me. I am not using springs during this post and it feels better. I feel a bit of that grinding with just the actuator and the Core but it’s not as frightening. I will revisit the springs very soon to see if the grinding feel will go away when used long term.

Also I need to try more of the SuperHwoarang kit later.

Merry Christmas guys!

The little wobble is came from grommet and the core. it is normal, since the core and the grommet have small clearance in height, about 0.5mm.

If you like to rolling the battop, I suggest use the medium tension, the light tension fail to give smooth experience since the coils is too light and will make snap in one random direction. but since I have already made some of it, better to share it than throw it in trash

I use medium spring, and I also like to roll my battop. after couple of days, the spring break in and it now can spin more smooth and lighter. please give it couple days to break in, you might like it.

Tips: you can use Silicone Grease (usually for sanwa pivot) to lubricate the lower shaft, it will help to make it more smooth.
