i only ride when im doing kbd. i normally dont have to push too far into the corners, at least i never feel like i have to hit the coller.
im using waz’s clear grommet, a2 switches, 7mm shaft, 14.5mm actuator, and switch support. tension is really light, so stepping and double tapping can feel slow at times and the wobble is pretty extreme. other then that, the inputs are extremely clean and electrics come out effortlessly. eventually i might try it out in the tae or with a heavier grommet, but atm this is definitely my favorite mishima setup.
@eyeamg0dly i was getting simular results with 35 clear grommet was too bouncy for me overall i’ll wait to see if waz’s metal spool will make a difference tension wise for now im sticking with fujin setup
@Rokwho@jey-are I’m not having any issues at all atm with this set up but switched over permanently to my fujin 7mm shaft and 14.5mm actuator on myoungshin. I just find the loose wobbly feel suits my playstyle more compared to the green arcade parts tighter feel. Try the green arcade parts with a3s instead you’ll have zero issues with green arcade parts. I’m using all am5s with my myoungshin and fujin set up but I did lots of testing with a3s.
@zero_requiem will try some a3’s and some other adjustments see how that goes @Ippo i recently bought some soft grommets as well from etokki they do feel like 45a rather than 30a
reason why is cause they completly fill the housing of the fanta there slightly oversized being rubber they need to be broken in as well it will get looser over time
yeah silicone ones dont need that break in time
this is exactly my experience using green setup. I have no problem at all using green setup, surprisingly it works better than my expectation. perfect for Tekken especially mishimas player.
Golden Core will be a game changer.
Using smaller actuator make the core/spool pivoting further. and using 7mm shaft you can barely feel the core is hitting the lower lever body (when using plastic spool you wont notice this), but when using metal core you can clearly feel it, and this create additional tension.
now I’m using Golden core, and since it not hitting the lever body and create additional tension, now I can use green GF grommet for more tension and faster neutral.
currently I use 8mm shaft and 15mm actuator. I have no problem hitting diagonal using green setup (maybe because i always ride the collar), I can do BDC and electric better on 7mm shaft, but rapid opposite cardinal input takes more time to input since it have to travel further, this is not favorable for playing SF when you have to move forward and block ASAP or when defending from cross-up attack. for me, 8mm shaft + 15mm collar is the best overall experince. it right in the middle from the trade off between 9mm and 7mm setup.
My wazwuz green setup AND Fujin 7mm arrived today , been testing few hours now , sadly for Fujin Lever obviously the Fujin 7mm suits better than wazwuz’s one , but it doesnt play well in my hands i guess , the diagonals u have to really dig to hit em , i even tried 30A grommet still the same effect. Maybe i have to find a lighter version of rubber the silicone ones on the fujin aint that consistent for some reason .Any suggestions to try am up to .
After that i took my Taeyoung and started messing around with setups , all were based on the 7mm green setup and 14.5mm actuator . i tried almost all grommets from golden fanta , and all a2 actuators then all am5 and last a3.
Best setup was 45A grommmet , all am5 but again huge problems and slugish wavedashes.i guess its not for me or someting .
The golden 14,5mm actuator was the best thing ever , wish i could make it fit the Fujin shaft , really top notch quality i love it so far .
Anyone know how much would cost me to build few of those for Fujin shaft?
@Marios you can tighten the golden fanta shaft onto an electric drill and sand off the difference to fit the fujin actuators. Just thought of this as I was reading your question. If you put even pressure you should be able to take off just the right amount to accompany the actuators.
EDIT: or you can just bore out the fujin actuators to fit the gf shaft
That wouldn’t be a bad idea to try out. You have the stuff we could do it with? Once the green lever stuff shows up (damn you EMS, lol) would be good to try that out.
it should be ready in next couple days. I cannot make much since workshop is super full before holiday, and this is rush project.
I really pushing it to be shipped before holiday to selected member who contribute a lot to this thread as End year gift.
I will have about 10pcs left for sale to this thread member.
@wazwuz I’d like to get a hold of this as well. I’ve been a regular contributor and I bought the Golden Fanta off you as well. I’ve been MIA lately as I got on a Hitbox kick for a while, but I’m back diddling around with my Korean sticks again and loving it. Please let me know when this would be available as I’d love to try it and would give a detailed review. Thanks!
Got my hands on the Super Hwoarang kit earlier today and did a quick install on my Razer Panthera. For those wondering, the collar gate is the core piece that replaces a normal collar found in a Myoungshin Fanta lever so they can work on Japanese sticks.
Obviously I had to use a compatible mounting plate such as ones found in Crown’s M levers or the Kowal plate. I installed the core piece on my Kaze V2 lever and put it on my Panthera. The results were actually pretty good. Doing various movements felt on point like I was using the real deal collar. What I am gonna do later this week is test it on a Taeyoung and a Fujin lever.
Also included in the package I got was five plastic actuators (15.4, 15.6, 15.65, 15.8, 15.85mm), a shaft, a plastic spool/bushing and two white tops. The only real reason I got those tops was to complete my Green lever design!
For those wondering on how to get it, I got mine with help from someone in Korea. Super Hwoarang doesn’t want to worry about shipping fees outside Korea.
