Korean arcade parts discussion

anyone with 309MJ (chopped collar) please help me to measure:
collar inside diameter? and collar height? I need this to desing the Golden Lever project.
thank you

The inside is 17mm while the height is 5mm.

I’m going with this for the joystick, the buttons are much more standard correct? Are the Crown flat top buttons the total standard?

The Venom is awesome for modding! I currently have a modded Fanta in mine

Thank you

Nice ! Can you still install a japanese stick tho ? It looks like you modded the stick itself not the panel hole right ?

Yes, I modded the Fanta so it will fit in any case

Will my Golden Fanta Mod Kit fit the Fujin V2 Lever? Was thinking of ordering one and trying it out. Is there a difference with the Myoungshin Fanta vs Fujin V2??

Hey guys I was able to get my hands on a custom 7mm shaft for the Fujin lever, and technically can work for the Myoungshin lever. Also grabbed a separate default 9mm shaft and actuator set (14.5, 14.7, 14.9, 15.1, 15.3, 15.5). For those wondering, yes the tops are removable. The only caveat is that they can sort of get loose somewhat easily. With no flathead screw driver point on the bottom part of the shaft, getting the top tight with the shaft isn’t perfect even with something you can get good grip with.

Performance-wise, the 7mm shaft + 14.5mm actuator combination with the Fujin is technically one way to get Green Game Land Lever-like performance. With the Fujin’s plate having the switches closer to the middle, it’s a good plus. Like the Taeyoung lever with the Golden Fanta 8mm shaft + stock actuator or 14.75mm actuator, backdash cancelling felt on point, wavedashing felt solid. I still might prefer using the Golden Fanta set but this combination with the Fujin lever is solid. Since I still have my GF 7mm shaft + 14.75mm actuator on my Myoungshin with Gersung V1623A3 switches installed, I will try out this Fujin combination on that later.

As of now, Airbaguy isn’t selling them as this was more of a custom request. He does like the shaft since he believes it’s solid for Mishima players so there is a possibility we might see it in the future in the Fujin lever as an option or as a separate accessory. He does sell the actuator set on his Naver site but nothing yet on ISTMall nor Makestick.

You can use the Golden Fanta shafts and grommets with it but as @zero_requiem mentioned a couple of pages back, do not use the actuators with it with the Fujin lever. The big major difference between both levers is switch placement. The Fujin’s supplied switches are placed closer to the middle. To compensate, it uses a smaller actuator by which in comparison to the Myoungshin lever make’s no real big difference. Tension in the Fujin is a bit heavier than the Myoungshin. Also the Fujin uses Panasonic switches unlike the Myoungshin which has Gersung switches.

Are the SDB 201 basically the same as the 203a that used to be the standard? I want distinct korean buttons, weirdness and all.

The CWB-203A buttons have different switch technology from the SDB-201. The latter is closer to the CWB-203C as they both carry the same switch technology, Futaba Clicky switch. You are more inclined to see 203C buttons in Korean arcades, judging by pictures, videos and streams of Tekken 7 cabs. You might see the SDB-201 too in some cabinets too. The caveats regarding the 203C buttons are that they are both not as easily available as well as they don’t carry the common quick disconnect terminals found on the 201 buttons and many Japanese buttons; soldering is required. Also the 203C, and the 203A line, are 27mm so it might work with 30mm holes with a spacer but once they get loose, you have to tighten them again. The 201 buttons are not as bad.

In short: SDB-201 buttons are one of the main ones. They are easily available.

Awesome, thank you. I was concerned that they were too committed to imitating sanwa buttons and threw away what made them interesting.

What do people do for start/select/home on korean sticks? 30mm?

Cabinets uses the same buttons for Start from what I guess. Otherwise, I mostly see Sanwa OBSF-24 buttons for stick owners.

hello all. golden fanta ā€œgreen leverā€ setup just finished.

good stuff. how did plastic actuator fells? I was thinking about using delrin for actuator for golden lever, is it good idea?

The actuators feel fine. They are pretty light in weight so they don’t affect neutral return. Although it was cool to have brass actuators but in the end I think it’s more cosmetic than anything. If it saves cost to make delrin actuators for a new set of Golden levers, I am fine with it personally. Green Game Land was the only one that really did it but it probably was easier to make in their case.

If you do send a Golden Fanta set to Lowhigh soon, I would include the brass actuators and the delrin actuators in case he still uses the Fujin lever. Also let him know to not mix the brass actuators with the Fujin.

Bro, do you still have an extra set for this? It’ll be great if i can buy and ship it together with my Fanta Kit. Thanks!

I finally got my Samducksa SDL-301-DX from MakeStick at the end of last week. With the default 35A grommet it was a bit too stiff and hindered my agility a bit in the process, but I’m currently enjoying it with the 25A grommet. Feels almost as nice as the Hori Hayabusa, which is my favorite stick.

Whats the measurments on the stock fujin V2 shaft and actuator? it might have already been mentioned somewhere but i had trouble searching for it

@ those using fujin v2 with smaller shaft acuator try the kdit aluminium battop with it ! myn feels really good that paired with soft grommit narrows the tension down a bit more with inputs compared to LB-30N

9mm for shaft, like most normal Myoungshin shafts, and 14.7mm for the actuator.
