The fujin v2 lever has a square gate? I’m a bit confused since afaik most korean sticks dont have gates lol.
I have Myoungshin Fanta but I want to try out some crown stick(which is 303n, 305, 309 helpme). What is a different in 3 Crown series also a different between myoungshin fanta?
Right now I have some feeling that Myoungshin fanta have a long throw distance in my opinion and I don’t like it (Because I am a Tekken player when do a wavedash on 1p side sometimes it executed in f,n,d,d/f so the last “f” is missing and effect my wavedash so much since the wavedash must executed in f,n,qcf). Is Crown stick can solve my issues ? and which one should I go with(303n, 305 or 309 helpme)?
Thanks in advance
I’d suggest reading through the other posts and you’ll find out the difference. Lots of different things between them all, and if you use the search button you’ll find what you’re looking for. I don’t have every crown so I can’t help personally.
Hello,
I’ve a venom ps4/ps3/pc arcade stick : https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/510vrHSsA9L.SX522.jpg
I’m wondering if it is compatible with CWL-309MJ-KMS ? It seems to, but is there any issue possible ?
Thank you
It’s not a gate. It’s the plate for switch support.

judging by this video it will take a sanwa jlf so you should be fine with the crown just make sure to get a wire harness with it
They don’t have a traditional Japanese restriction gate system. Restriction in Korean levers comes from the shaft interacting with the collar.
Also no, the Fujin lever is circular. It’s still utilizing the collar from a Myoungshin lever.
The only exceptions are Crown’s SDL-301 lever and the CWL-305 lever where their gates of sorts act as secondary restriction in case they are pushed hard when in use. You will feel more of the collar regardless.
The lack of gates thing I hear everywhere is a weird misconception that needs to go away.
Myoungshin lever’s collar hole is actually small. The 309 lever from Crown will feel similar to the Myoungshin lever. The 303 has a wider hole and its reference point is the Taeyoung lever. The 305 is not throughly tested but it’s most notable feature is that its actuator is square instead of circle which can act as secondary restriction.
The 309 lever is the most readily available lever now. If you do get it and are getting similar results, then you might need to actually adjust your hand to do the crouch dash motion more efficiently.
Set up my modern Taeyoung Fanta with the Blue 55 grommet, Gersung A2 switches bottom switch support plate, and the extra bronze actuator that came with the golden fanta mod.
It’s pretty light but I tried the Red 65 grommet and it was just too stiff to handle quickly enough.
Been messing with the 309 as well but I’m not sure yet what to use for that, probably going with the second thinnest shaft from the golden Crown mod but I’m having a bit of an issue with the battops I have coming loose.
With my Golden Fanta sidelined for the moment. I’ve been messing with my 309 Helpme (ver. 2 I’m guessing, it came with am5’s) for a good while now. I only really own a myoungshin and a 309 helpme as far as k-mount levers go. Between the two, out of the box, this 309 is awesome. With mods, I dig the Myoungshin.
Hopefully one day soon I’ll throw down on the Golden Crown parts and be able to chime in on any discussion involved with them.
i really like the stock helpme alot. i dont even want to mod it. i have a fujin and kaze on the way, so eventually i will get around to getting a 2nd helpme to play around with.
Does anyone know the sticks used in the tekken mastercup cabinets? There was Korean and Japanese cabinets i noticed. I wonder how it is for a top player to adjust to using those sticks. There was a crazy japanese kazuya player when vsing team chanel
They had a special panel for the Koreans that they’d interchange during the tournament. IDK what leaver it was other than it had a white top that didn’t look glossy to me.
it looked like the crown 309mj for the k lever. no idea which japanese levers they were using.
Team Well Played used Green lever while Qudans Special Forces used Crown 309 Help Me (V2 or V3) lever. There were two Japanese Korean hybrid teams as well and from what I seen and they were also using the Help Me lever.
Also they don’t bring Korean cabinets. They just swap out the panels.
Japanese Tekken cabinets are usually equipped with Sanwa JLF levers.
@Nostromo21 No worries man. Changing the actuator to a bigger one will change the characteristics completely. Yes the actuators will actuate faster but with A2s I think diagonals will be harder to hit and more sensitive. The hole in the collar is of the taeyoung is the biggest from what I’ve seen in k-sticks which is why the throw feels so big. See if you can get used to it but if not my suggestion is getting a crown 309 and throwing it into the omni. I don’t believe there is any aftermarket actuators for the taeyoung on the market besides golden fanta.
@TastyWhiff the fujin 2 doesn’t have a square gate. The metal plate is the base for switches since the switch positioning was changed and stock myoungshin switch mounts shaved off. Even with the metal plate it still works the exact same as taeyoung, myoungshin and crown 309.
What is the most popular korean part setup right now? I want full mainstream, for example right now I have a JLF OBSF30 stick, Happ Comp + happ concave stick, seimitsu PS-14KN stick (jlf), I want a standard Korean stick to round out the collection. I see that the CWJ-307 is the official one for Tekken 7, is that just a sponsorship deal or is that also the most preferred stick?
Thanks! I will get a 309MJ to try out on my Hori RAP N then
I have also messaged wazwuz for more details about the golden fanta kit, hopefully he will see it soon
The 307 was only the “official” one for 7.0 in arcades because Crown/Samducksa worked with the supplier for the cabinets at the time but I guess people didn’t like it so people moved over to other ones. You can either stick with a Crown 309 lever or Myoungshin Fanta lever since they are readily available and used among various players and arcade setups.
Which one would you say is the “default”. I understand this should always come down to preference, but I’m specifically not looking for a stick that fits my preferences, I just want one that is as default and mainstream as possible.
Crown 309.
