Actually Actuator is made from Bronze, bronze have almost the same look like brass( bronze have self lubricating properties, and classified as high end material ). For cost stand point Delrin will be cheaper but not much, unless we do in very high Qty.
I think I will keep using Bronze unless the plastic actuator is more superior. To be honest, I more concern about performance than cost, I want to make the best lever possible
thank you for the info. I will ship lowhigh GFM tommorow
@wazwuz in my opinion actuator / shaft / battop ought to be as light as possible
actuator made from synthetic material, not metal
shaft would ideally be hollow, as long as it’s strength is not compromised (we don’t want bent levers do we?)
sanwa lb-30 battop is fine
reminds me of my favourite setup with the 309HelpMe which is, stock actuator, crown conversion shaft, sanwa battop with spacer to increase height by 2,5mm + light panasonic switches (the ls-32 ones)
After of months of testing attending tournaments asking koreans making them use the golden fanta actuators , yes they are definatly good quality but the weight that is added to it effects the players hands and in most cases it hinders the gameplay , they are REALLY good on moding purposes and easy and in some cases the only access to a diffrent size actuator. maybe make them way lighter will make them perfect but i think Delrin is the best material for actual gameplay thats everyone told me after testing . @wazwuz
I hope you saw my msg to sign me up for the green golden fanta parts.
nice, we all know Knee, chanel will prefer metal actuator, even metal spool. since they use Green lever.
I will ask Saint and LowHigh opinion about metal actuator, maybe Qudan also. if the don’t like it, I will make the Delrin actuator.
Foook … didnt know he was making those , and already a package is on the way ! DAMN he should have told me i guess ill make another order . tell me how it feels . i want to try 7mm shaft and 14.5 actuator i think thats my go to . @zero_requiem
also it seems the tops are diffrent sizes ? or the photo is tricky … i would love to try abit shorter top aswell
@Marios Oh no that’s like me I forgot to ask for an 8mm shaft. So the tests I’ve done so far are 14.5mm actuator with 7mm shaft on fujin with soft grommet and myoungshin bushing and it’s amazing. The speed of cd on 1p is faster than 2p which I’ve never seen before but that just happened. With fujin bushing I find that the 14.7mm and 7mm shaft works better than 14.5mm.
I have to admit, after I try the Original R-tech Green lever, I don’t like it. and I don’t put high expectation on this green lever setup for Golden Fanta.
after sending all the order for green setup order. I am curious to try green setup on my stick, and I completely amazed how well my excecution using this setup. the wider throw gives more room for execution error for me who bad at doing precision input, now I can ewgf constantly (9 out of 10) bdc more faster. I was bad at ewgf before, les than 70% successful rate. before using this setup I was using 8mm shaft and 15 actuator and green silicone on my myungshin with panasonic switch and both support plate.
this setup makes me so happy, but deeper throw add more tension and I get tired after doing long session, so I lower the grommet to 35 silicone. and now I can do ewgf all day long :D.
I must say, 35 is a bit too light for me, but 45 just a bit too hard for 7mm shaft. then I decide to use 35 on casual. and 45 maybe on tournament.
the downside of this setup is harder to input opposite direction quickly, make sense since the travel distance is longer now. but I can live with this.
I am so excited to get the feedback from you guys, if it does well. I will considering put this setup on GFM set.
and for you who have try Green Lever before, let me know the comparison.
LowHigh is very excited waiting his GFM arrived, hopefully we will hear his feedback soon, he said he will review it on his channel.
