Korean arcade parts discussion

@wazwuz im definitely interested in the 14.5mm actuator and 7mm shaft. would it be possible to add a 14.75mm + 15mm actuator, 35 grommet, and switch support? i hope thats not asking too much.

@wazwuz interested in super hworang clone neck

got it

14.75 is not worth I think. 0.25 difference in diameter just change about 0.125mm (hair tick) in actuation distance, too smal to notice.
anything else i can provide.

since lowhigh (korean pro tekken) also asking about green lever setup, hopefully he will gave us valueable feedback.

yeah its all good, thought it was worth a shot. i have a feeling 14.5 will be too small, but i still want one regardless.

Count me in for that.

wait for Golden Lever project

How long is the wait?

Edit: nvm read the last page and answered my own question

To get a green arcade lever you need to have a good relationship with the players and the owners of Green arcade. Oh and Jeju orange Hallabong chocolate.

Maybe it’s just fatigue but does anyone else notice the Crown 309 feeling less snappy over a long session? I’m guessing it’s the rubber getting worked and thus losing some tension over time. Is this a trait of all Korean levers?

I must send this info to Lowhigh.

@kkolding I was in korea at the green arcades with JustFog and Bohee ( for helping and translating proposes ) , for negotiating purposes i even went up and seriously said 1k euro for the lever and the old guy still refused . so i dont know exactly how he sells them i know 100% he sells them to Knee , and aparently Nin ?

Anyway i recieved my kaze v3 lever and by suprise i didnt like it , it didnt have the kaze effect ( down input is lighter ) , and for some reason the lever cant twirl around its somewhat stack in there or something didnt really understand the reason i havent also opened to see inside yet. I was very sad with my purchase and i started messing around with diffrent microswitches , lighter than the A3’s without luck everything felt horrible …untill i did a fantastic mistake , instead of grabing the A3 to put it back and wrap it up to "throw it away " , i used an a2 , and boom the lever felt like a Fujin but abit lighter , i am amazed with the resaults snappy, sensitive and with fast neutral . as a fanatic fujin lever i really like the setup its the oposite of the Kaze effect but i dont understand why it works . Anyone else have found something similar ? I am a fanatic Fujin lever user but it fatigues me in long sets . i really love fujin and the inputs of it but the big throw after long session and the stiffness makes my hand hurt and fatique ( if someone knows a solution please go ahead ) . @zero_requiem adding requiem cause he introduced me to Fujins.

Lol I’ll be on late tonight

@Marios just copy what I did with my fujin. I’m using a soft grommet with myoungshin bushing for less tension. I modified my actuator to accommodate golden fanta 8mm shaft. Currently im using all am5s on it

So my old 309MJ’s switches are suddenly starting to fail… >_>

Before I pull the trigger on something incompatible, will these switches here fit into the 309MJ as replacements? Part numbers are different but I assume they’ll drop in just fine. I thought about rigging up my LS-32’s Omrons but that stick is currently hard-mounted elsewhere at the moment.

No, and your LS 32 (2017) Omrons will not work properly either because of the bend in the switch (I have tried them myself). The best option you have is this:

I tried to DIY the collar Phantomnaut posted. It’s very ghetto and I’m sure improvements can be made.

The throw became a little shorter. The 7mm shaft was perfect for this.

Hey @wazwuz I am revisiting the 7mm shaft and 14.75mm actuator from the first Golden Fanta pressing and testing it on my Myoungshin lever. I originally thought there were problems with diagonals on Panasonic switches being terrible with these parts but after initial testing today, it wasn’t as bad. When Saint told me about the variable quality regarding Panasonic switches, I actually understand now. Only one of my switches has been triggering differently while everything else were more or less fine. I put the problem switch for up so I wont have to deal with it as much. The diagonals with the other switches, even if a bit small, is still bigger than before so that’s good. I do wonder how much diagonal coverage will be lost with a 14.5mm actuator. For now, I will test more with the Panasonic switches and then move over to various Gersung switches and then the OMRON switches you provided for me. Maybe in the end of the day, the switches will be the key to using the Green combination.

Also I did some measurements regarding the hole size between the Myoungshin and Taeyoung levers. I originally thought it was a full 1mm difference but it actually is .5mm with the Taeyoung being the larger one. So technically you are not getting the Green lever travel distance as I thought. That said, I still think the 8mm shaft on a Taeyoung lever is still solid.

Great finding. Actually use Golden fanta 8mm and 15mm actuator lately, and have no problems with diagonal, and I feel it still have room to accept 7mm shaft and 14,5mm actuator.
The omron I gave you maynot work properly for small actuator since the enggage distance is deeper, it will work great woth bigger actuator. For smaller actuator I think we have find another type for omron switch.

Well damn. Thanks for the heads-up before I went ahead and bought those. Last time I ordered a replacement stick that was equipped with Gersungs, one of the switches was defective right out of the package. Not necessarily a good first impression for me. I’ll just get a new set of switches eventually and try them out again.

@zero_requiem how did you make the actuators fit the golden fanta shaft ?
