Korean arcade parts discussion

well been a few hours at it and still happy gonna try some other grommits later see how that plays out
@zero_requiem yeah i’ll hold out for a while on the taeyoung as for my diy acuator if i knew what the hell this came from id tell you but got no idea just found it in my tool box i measured again on my digi guage and its actually 14.8mm so preety much ideal.
Just out of intrest the teardowm pics of the green lever in this thread dont give any idication that the switches are closer than the taeyoung or am i missing something as theres no top plate and the original myoungshin switch mounts look intact on that lever as there not milled down for closer placement ?

You need a 7mm shaft, which @wazwuz doesn’t make anymore, to replicate the Green’s travel distance. Also the actuator needs to be 14.75mm although that’s not too much of a big deal.

Otherwise it’s pretty close and if it feels good, I would keep that setup.

@Rokwho lucky! 14.8mm is so close to green arcades actuators. I believe what they mean by closer switch positioning is that they’re closer to the center. Which is why this set up will work better than the myounshins and the fujin will work best. Don’t quote me on that but that’s what I think

yeah still a few mm off here and there probably the best im gonna do with the parts i have but im loving this setup as is
hope you manange to get a lever from knee over the weekend at twt that would be sweet
would love to see your thoughts on it

@the Phamtomnaut I messaged him this morning to see if he could make the shaft and actuator in derlin. Worst comes to worst I take the 10mm shaft and throw it on my cnc lathe then turn it down to size.

would be nice if waz made them parts im guessing would be a bit pointless money wise for a small run like that but intrested to see if he does
really all he needs to do is make a fusion plate with closer placement then he could sell that as a pack plate,7mm shaft, delrin 14.75 acuator?
i can give measurements if needed for fusion plate

Hello, sorry for the delay. Golden Crown and Fanta next batch will be finished this weekend, just need to wait some screws to complete the mod kit.

For Golden Crown I decide to add 0.8mm spring and 1.2mm spring. so you will have 4 different tension grommets (35, 45, 55, 65) and 4 different tension springs (0.6mm 0.8mm 1mm and 1.2mm). hopefully we can find interesting setup for tension.

For Golden Fanta I see many of you have problems when use it on Fujin, Since I don’t have fujin, Could you show me (with pic) what is the problem? so I can make revision to the actuator

Interesting. let me think about this.
my idea to make customizable switch position (maybe using modular plates configuration), but I have to sell it as an complete stick since I have to work with the base myungshin/taeyong base housing so the plate can be installed.

Super hwoarang project is very cool. maybe I can making those with my CNC machine. but it wont cheap, since I have to use Thick sheet of delrin for material.

So how about this for our next project:
making ultimate K-stick: Golden Parts + modular “fujin” plate + “superWho” Collar. it won’t cheap, but it will be the complete K-stick Experience.
feel free to give your opinion or idea

Ok so right now I’m using etokki omni with golden fanta mod, I dont remember which actuator and shaft that im using at the moment but I am using the green grommet although might consider using the original black(soft) one, but green is better to accommodate me playing other games like GG, SF etc. The blue one is too high resistance for me.

I only recently played around with the actuator, and I noticed one of the GFM actuator has a slight deformity (the round shape has a very slight dent of some short), I wonder will it have any effect?

I am also wondering whats the diff between A2 and A3 switches? My etokki came with A2 by default, I’m interested in exploring other different types of switches to find ones that suit me best.

GFM actuator should have perfecly rounded since it was process on a lathe. but you can measure the diameter all around to see if it oval, if you get defect product please PM me

Here is the bottom end of the Fujin. The Golden Fanta actuator might grind the plate.

@wazwuz we could easly mill down a myounshin ourselfs if you decide to make the plate would’nt really need to sell as a whole lever just use the original screw mounts for the plate problems with using golden fanta with fusion is the acuator on the golden fanta are rounder compared to the slimmer style acuator on the fusion if we use your acuators it catches and damages the aluminium plate on the fusion. Because of the switch position you cant really use any larger acuator than 15mm with the fusion or its gonna catch the plate so thats why we asking for plastic or delrin.

@wazwuz try offering your golden fanta/crown to doujin. He’s using 309mj atm and he’s interested in trying other levers.

Guys i have the Fujin v2 myelf but recently sadly those plastic white screws that holds the microswitch broke . anyone have any idea whats the actual model of the screw so i can order few ? cheers

@Rokwho question how is your microswitches metal connectors not twisted and why your actuator is white ?whats the mm on the white one ?

are you referring to the microswith arms? just luck of the draw i guess no big deal if slightly bent or not my switch connectors came bent i just bent them back they probably do that so it fits in various arcade sticks but you got plenty of room in a razer stick white acuator is a diy its 14.8mm as im using waz 8mm shaft with it

fujin plastic screws are 3mm width 14mm length would be fine if you brought metal ones as the plate is tapped just get the right length

@Rokwho Thank you so much for your quick answers , what exactly is diy tho ?

@Marios diy it is just an abbreviation of "do it yourself.

Wow this Fujin v2 idea is blowing up lol good job to everyone contributing to this!

@zero_requiem could you elaborate about the fujin idea you guys are talking havent understood what exacltly i have to do to try it lol

@Marios What I originally came up with is boring out the hole on the stock actuator and using a stock myoungshin bushing with 8mm golden fanta shaft with to replicate green arcades levers. I then asked Wawuz to make a 7mm shaft and 14.75mm derlin actuators to have the exact sizes. The set up right now feels really good but I can only imagine it will get better once said parts are used with the fujin. Rokwho introduced the idea for a custom plate to bring microswitches closer to the center to further imitate green arcade levers.
