@Marios it’s impossible because the throw on the fujin is only a little shorter than myoungshin. A 16.5mm actuator could possibly come close but then you would have issues using the am5s and would most likely have to use a3s. Using an a2 for down will speed up your cd and kbdc.
Was watching SEA korean world tour lastnight and noticed Lowhigh was using a fujin in his panthera which is pretty badass.
@marios only way to make golden fanta shafts work on fujin is to use a myoungshin grommet instead of the fujin. Only problem with that is you can’t use golden fanta actuators on fujin because it will damage the metal plate since it’s metal on metal. Golden fanta actuators will fit on fujin shaft but fujin actuator won’t fit on golden fanta shaft. You can use the stock myoungshin actuator on the golden fanta shaft if you’re interested in trying a bigger actuator.
If you have lighter grommets that can help as well I use the blue golden Fanta one works great, and the down input switch change to the A2 like @ZeroRequiem said. Im actually going from the Fujin to the Kaze, and I swear the movement on it is amazing!
The only thing I like better about the kaze than fujin is that it’s better with A3s lol. Don’t need am5s in an optimal set up. Oh and iWR is way easier on it
hi everyone, i m thinking to update my arcade stick, that it’ s fitted with a crown 303(japanase version) , with a new lever. So i m oriented to purchaise the crown 309mj with a separatly 35st grommet to replace the base 25 tension grommet. So my question is whether it is best to wait 2 months for the release of the new crown 305helpme lever (with a square arcuator) and also the new “knee lever” ,as rumors said; or just proceed to the purchase for the crown 309mj + 35st grommet.
I would just get the 309MJ and see if the provided grommet is too light before replacing with heavier tension. Also there is no Knee lever. It’s the Green Game Land lever that he has been using for years. It’s nearly impossible to get the Green Lever. Only a certain few foreigners got it through luck at Green, bought it off of players at events, or other means.
Closest combination that you can do to “replicate” the Green Lever is buying a Taeyoung lever and Arcade Stick Indonesia’s Golden Fanta kit. You replace the stock Taeyoung shaft with the 8mm Golden Fanta shaft. The Green Levers I tried, they were relatively light so the Golden Fanta’s clear grommet should be fine. As for actuator, it’s fine with stock but the Golden Fanta’s 15mm can help in adding a bit more diagonal coverage.
On a related note, with the Panasonic switches gone, I wonder if the owner of Green still has enough to put them in replacement levers. Sooner or later, they will break down and he won’t have anymore and will have to opt for a new design. I do wonder if Knee shown the Golden Fanta to the owner… For some reason I thought about this same exact situation pages back.
I can’t figure out how to tag you because of the space in your name haha. I always thought that green game land levers used myoungshin. Very interesting that my most consistent set up is exactly as you described it. 8mm golden fanta shaft, 15mm actuator and am5s with a2 switch for down but still using stock grommet.
Yup the Green Lever uses a Myoungshin as a basis. After testing the Golden Fanta 7mm shaft and the 14.75mm actuator during the first one, which is supposedly the same measurements as what Green has, it didn’t work well because the switches were too spread apart so corners sucked. They need to be pushed together somehow like what the Fujin V2 does. I don’t want the Golden Fanta actuators touching the metal part of the Fujin V2 due to obvious damage. Taeyoung already has closer switch placement.
Oh yeah I got access to the Fujin Naver page, I am gonna find a way to purchase the detachable top and shaft. Based on screenshots, the new shaft looks smaller in diameter and can work with Japanese tops. The page also offers different actuator sizes (14.5, 14.7, 14.9, 15.1, 15.3, 15.5) for 6000 won.
@The Phamtomnaut good to know. Good find and let me know if you’re successful with purchasing the battop and shaft. I wouldn’t mind using a smaller actuator on the taeyoung. Yup I learned that the hard way with my fujin a couple months ago when I noticed the dents on the metal plate from the golden fanta actuators lol. Ever since then I’ve advised against it. I could possibly try to machine an actuator at work out of derlin to try to match the green land arcade levers size and use it on the fujin.
You will mostly see the differences from the top and the dust cover. Myoungshin lever has a somewhat glossy top with a simple dust cover. Taeyoung has a more matte top and is shaped slightly thinner; the dust cover is a bit more elaborate with a little nudge at the middle.
I bought a Korean stick a long time ago and it was like a wooden box.
I believe it was a myongshin stick…it was ok.
Then I ordered a Saulabi stick and ordered a Tae Young to mod the Saulabi, but the Tae Young I got was extremely firm and I didn’t like it.
I’m guessing the Omni has a Tae Young but with a softer rubber.
I was once in Incheon airport about 13 years ago and played tekken tag at one the cabinets they had, it was one of the best sticks I’ve ever played on.
Yup that green one should have been a Myoungshin. If you still have that Taeyoung lever, you can swap the grommets out from your Myoungshin by opening the levers. I don’t know what type of lever that cab had but it could have just been a worn Myoungshin or Taeyoung.
