Korean arcade parts discussion

@zero_requiem what is thai switches ? i have few panasonic switches , A3 an A2 could you tell me what and why i should replace when and if i get a Fujin ?

Idk if this is the right thread but I need help. I want to make a custom case for my korean arcade stick but all the projects/blueprints that I found is for Fanta Stick + Sanwa buttons. I need a specific project for korean buttons :frowning: please help guys

@Marios thai switches are the Panasonic AM5s. If you order the next batch of fujin v2 and they come with A3s I would just throw on the Panasonic switches that you have on it. That way you get to experience the fujin the way itā€™s meant to be. With the fujin being as stiff as it is it will feel way stiffer with A3s.

traditional korean buttons are made for 28mm holes like american ones, no?

I havenā€™t had much luck with Korean buttons. At one point, the CWB-207H piqued my interest, as they were loose imitations of Green Game Land buttons, but I havenā€™t seen them for sale. Not to mention, Iā€™m not fond of how loud some of the buttons are. If there was a button with the feel of the CWB-203C, with the sound of the CWB-203A, I would keep my 28mm button template.

The 207H and 203C buttons are the same but the former has quick disconnect system. There is always Happ or IL buttons.

This will help me a lot, although this seems to be REALLY spaced out. So I just narrow things a bit when cutting the panel.
The thing I really wanted is an AstroCity layout to korean buttons (because I have an Hori SCV stick) but Viewlix style (like the one in the page) will do.

@zero_requiem ah i see good thing i ordered few panasonic to have around then , altho i was wondering i really love the kaze idea and i can see that ewgfs are so fast with kaze lever with softer microswitch for down input was wondering how i can reproduce on the fujin lever

@ā€œmasked riderā€ i was about to order a 309 i wanna see the feeling of the stick but all the korean friends screaming not to do it because the diagonal inputs are fucked up with that lever , and 309 Mj moded by kaze exclusive at istmall if i remember correct is the one that works good .

I was looking at your review earlier. Itā€™s good to know. Thanks.

Diagonal issues came from using Gersung A2 switches when it was designed to be used with Panasonic AM5 switches. Theyā€™ve since switched to A3 switches which seems to alleviate the issue. But if the Kaze mod does make diagonals function better with the A3 that would be worth trying.

I find electrics to be super fast with fujin already. It will never feel like the kaze because the throw is much wider. They both use 10mm shafts so the only thing left to match is the actuator which is 15mm on fujin and 16/16.5 on kazeā€¦i keep forgetting since itā€™s been awhile since I compared them. Golden fanta actuators fit but it will destroy the metal plate on the fujin since the actuator is made of manganese bronze. Only lever imo that can somewhat match the feel and speed of a kaze is the 309 and even with that the throw is even shorter. The throw on the 309 is so ridiculously short that it feels like Iā€™m using a ps4 controller joystick lmfao.

in case anyone is looking for am5ā€™s, i just got some with my helpme 309 that i ordered from paradise.

@zero_requiem i can just put the actuator from kaze and yes golden fanta damages some sticks i havent figured the reason .have you moded your 309 with diffrent microswitches ?

Anyone have experience installing a korean stick with japanese mount on a mad catz tes+? Maybe i try to install the 309 kaze or the normal mj309.

But the tes+ already have problems to install a hayabusa stickā€¦

Or maybe i just buy a kai 4, i think is easy to install a mj309 in that stick.

The kaze actuator wonā€™t fit on the fujin shaft so youā€™d have to use the kaze shaft as well. Having such a big actuator on the fujin would make it feel very sloppy. The switch positioning is designed to be used
with the 15mm actuator which means if you use a bigger actuator youā€™re going to be pushing the hinges inward which is not a good thing. The taeyoung, myoungshin and 309 are different in this regard because they all use bigger actuators. Iā€™ve used am5s on my 309 and hated it and ended up putting back the original a3s.

Out of curosity, how different does the A3 feel from AM5 in the 309?

@wazwuz Good to see saint was using your stick at SEA majors !
