Yh my Fujin from makestick has a non-removable top. Thanks for the link, after really liking the fujin Iā€™ve been keeping my eye on the stock as it would be nice to have a replacement incase anything happens to my current one down the link. Do they ship internationally, sites a bit harder to navigate than makestick being all in korean.

Also it says the switches are either the panasonic am51630c69n or am51610c69n. Given that thereā€™s such little stock of the discontinued panasonic switches left (which we were lucky to get in the latest Fujin batch from makestick) Iā€™m guessin itā€™s most likely these fujinā€™s will come with the am51610. Does anyone know what those are, the site says the have the ā€œsame performanceā€.

So did anybody try these out yet? http://istmall.co.kr/m2/goods/view.php?category=028&goodsno=9992477

The Crown 309MJ? Lots of people have those. Iā€™ve got one Iā€™m using for Tekken right now. Not a fan of the latex material they use for the bat top, but thatā€™s easily replaced by ordering a JLF conversion shaft and Sanwa LB30 bat top. Also the 25A grommet they use in the MJ models is too light for my taste. Iā€™ve got the 35A grommet on the way, so itā€™ll essentially be the same as the stock Korean mount version 309. I have Panasonic switches in mine, but I believe all the newer ones will have Gersung A3 switches due to the Panasonics being discontinued.

Itā€™s the Kaze modded 309. Itā€™s offered in normal, flat and MJ models.

Also 99% of us probably never tried it yet because ISTMall exclusive.

Oh, I see. My bad. Iā€™d be interested in hearing how itā€™s different from the stock 309.

Actually itā€™s only offered in flat, the MJ and normal models are placeholders and have no ETA on when or if they will be made available. As for the actual improvements, judging from the reviews and description, it seems to fix the diagonals not registering properly on the newer 309 batches with the gersungs instead of panasonics.
You know, maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy it, test it out for you guys. Reviews say that itā€™s good and the diagonals are sensitive and quick(too quick according to some but theyā€™re probably just not used to good diagonals)
Edit: it says that they fixed something about the actuator. No information on the changes otherwise.

@MeiliIsCharm am intrested to test a crown stick aswell i am about to order a 309 not the flat one with the colar am not good with names , they are not good ? shall i cancel the order now that i still can ?

@Rokwho i so want to try one of those Fujin levers i can never fidn them when did u buy it adn from where ? also are u selling it ?

was brought from makestick about two months ago it is a very unique lever with a real short throw simular to crownā€™s 309ā€™s the execution on directions is very precise however the grommit is very stiff i have been using it with a fanta soft grommit.
Im not using it now as i have gone back to golden fanta as i prefer a longer throw but not looking to sell myn as i want it for the collection. Maybe ask zero_requiem he has a few he might part with

First of all, if you order the vanilla 309 with a long collar, you need a joystick body that can accept Korean joysticks.
The MJ and flat versions can go into any standard Japanese setup. You would need a 5 pin to 8 pin converter though.

Itā€™s only sold in the Korean naver cafe AirbagLeverLabs(rough translation), so good luck finding one if you donā€™t have Korean contacts that can buy for you. Alternatively, you can try asking them in Korean.

@MeiliIsCharm thanks so much for the info i have an omni etokki so i guess ill be fine with the kstick , i can see teh 309 kaze mod at istmall website i cant buy from there ?also fujin sometimes apear on focusattack or other stick selling websites

If you have an etokki omni just buy the original kazes as they are tried, tested and proven.

@MeiliIsCharm what you mean original kaze ? kaze lever you mean ? i own one of the old generation with the panasonic microswitches. its really good i just want to try crown to see if it feels better in my hand .

Then try the kaze modded 309s I talked about, if you can get them to ship

am51610c69n is simply the SPDT version of the SPST-NO am51630c69n, all other specs being identical.
All korean stick manufacturers who use panasonic switches seem to have access to the same stock with erroneous reference numbers . Both refs are wrong anyways, even the one for the spdt version, as they correspond to the pin plunger (lever-less) type, when instead they are clearly hinge lever type.

@Rokwho I donā€™t find the throw on the fujin short at all. With the mj you barely push on it and itā€™s already touching the collar lol. The motions on the fujin are very wide and similar to the myoungshin. Take it from me since my battop is so smooth and very clear Iā€™ve easily put over 300hrs on it. While the switches may be closer together and uses a 10mm shaft it has a 15mm actuator.

@Marios I canā€™t part with any of my fujins because all the switches are removed and split between my taeyoung and myoungshin with golden fanta parts. Makestick should be getting more in stock soon but they will most like come with A3s. You have spare thai switches so itā€™s all good if they do come with A3s. Maybe ask @ykd if he will part with 1 out of his 3 but it will most likely not come with AM5s but A2s instead.

Does anyone know if removing the spring will cause any problems with the 309? It might be my imagination but I feel like I miss more inputs with it removed.

Well itā€™s there for a reason.
