Korean arcade parts discussion

I didn’t know MakerBot owned Thingiverse. 3D printing and CNC machining are two avenues I occasional look into for modding arcade parts.

Edit: Nvm I said a stupid thing. Ignore me.

Anyone order a kaze v3 from makestick recently? I emailed Rohan asking about what switches it will be coming with but still waiting for a reply. I guess if it did happen to come with A3s and 1 A2 for down I can always switch out the A3s for AM5s.

What is the easiest way to get a hold of some panasonic switches at this point? Please @ me in your reply. Thanks.

I’m an inveterate gate rider which is half the reason I bought a Korean lever at all. I think I probably play more with moving my whole arm rather than my wrist or fingers (I mean obviously not 100% but more than people I see comfortably using Sanwa levers or whatever).

I’ve been trying as well. Seems like there are no option for this other than buying actual levers and harvesting it from there.

Definitely with you on that. By the time they make em to our country, the parts are basically loose in the envelope, at least with the golden Crown it was. Maybe some kind of lid to keep it all tight together and some bubble wrap.
Those little trays aren’t very practical if you plan on taking the parts with you, to try different setups out.

I love the product however, so this isn’t a gripe with AS or Wazwuz at all.

Blood diamonds, gentleman.

A price I’m not willing to pay. As days gone by, I’m getting accustomed to these Gersung cubic zirconia. :stuck_out_tongue:

And as days gone by, proficiency with a Hitbox negates the need to pursue the fruitless quest for these blood diamonds too.

EDIT: Looks like we can order it actually. My mistake. Guess it’s a good time to get one.

They feature V1623A3 switches but it has a big actuator so it should be ok.

I need a new E-Clip for my Taeyoung Fanta, where can I find one???

I just use a Crown e-clip.

Thanks so much, I was looking at that and I just wanted to make sure. Appreciate it!

Thanks! Etokki is getting some in soon as well. Finally get to see what the big deal is with this lever.

What’s the stock grommet for the 309MJ? Also, I see FA has Gersung A2 switches available. Are those good compared to the stock switches? Also, with my 309, I noticed the audible feedback of the d and b switches (facing right) sound different from the u and r switches. Is that a common issue? My lever came disassembled. Should I take it apart again? Shit ton of questions, sorry, just new to Korean sticks is all.

Thank you for the review. it was insightful.

I will improve the package using bubble warp and add some plastic clip. I was design using clear plastic so the custom can easily examine the package without opening it, but apparently they are too curious.
I will add small photo about all the parts inside the package, so the custom will think twice if they want to take some of the parts.

For the dust Washer, It have protective plastic film on it. try to peel it

Sorry all, Work is pretty busy lately in workshop, Golden Crown won’t be ready at least for the next month.

Shore A 25 silicone rating so very light. Gersung V1623A2 switches are fine but doesn’t work great with a 309’s actuator. The stock switches, assuming V0323A3, work a lot better. If they sound different, don’t fret too much as it’s common.

Just wondering if you’re sure that A2 is used for “down” and what’s the benefit of that?
Because imo it’s reasonable to use A2 for up to prevent any accidental up input.

@ewok A2 for down is for reducing key input miss and proportional movements. Its the lightest switch compared to AM5’s and A3’s which in turn gives faster crouch, cd and kbd. I use this set up in my fujin, golden fanta, golden crown and 3sdl-301. It’s a common misconception with the kaze that the A2 is for up to prevent hitting it by accident but it is intended for down input.
