i dont think geese is that powerful at all, he has some bad match ups.I read inArcadia that hes mid tier at best. Dont get me wrong he can be cheap but he by no means overpowering.
Can anyone PLEASE help me with anti-mai strats (KOF 98). I play against a paerson who just abuses her moves over and over again (practically all her moves). and i cant do anything about it. I use kensou, beni, joe, orochi yashir., if anyone knows any anit mai strats with these characters let me know. Or can anyone recommend a good character vs mai (yamazaki, takuma?)

Tell me more about Geese being midtier…and bad matchups…IMO compared to SVC he takes less effort to win in 2k2 than in SVC…who are some of his bad matchups? WIth Geese if Vanessa is top tier bc of her BC combos then shouldnt Geese?? All I need is one combo in Maxmode and you are dead…NO SUPERS.
Also for the Leona thing to add…something REALLY GOOD to ensure its Counterhit with V-Slasher…jump CD then hit confirm if its counter hit then go to V-Slasher=OUCH.

Well only if you are a fanboy or a low level player then the ps2 version is perfect for you.
Otherwise, stick to the MVS and AES.
But dude consider this…some people cant afford the MVS…yes I agree if you can get it that is the best way to go…but some people cannot afford that…so they get what they can. In an ideal world everyone would have an arcade perfect port of this AND alpha3, but for both it means shelling out some dough.

Billy, Athena, Choi are top. And there’s a pretty obvious reason why you don’t see Mature, Robert, Chin, Terry and Kyo often (if at all) in high level gameplay.

I need some combo help for Angel …
I discovered df C to be a great juggle launcher since it’s pretty fast, can be canceled early and directly into her chain circle.
All i do now is:
- df C (launches) xx df B (whiffed) - f B - hcf B xx f B, f-f B (1 hit)
That’s okay i guess, but i feel there’s way more possible. Anybody knows what to do after df C, midscreen and corner ?

Did you get to try out other characters? I’m wondering if anybody got extremely nerfed. Hopefully, the teams I’m thinking about using aren’t too badly changed.

its good i mean u get a whole new feeling and its intense.
ash - is combo friendly and very aggressive decent damage
shen- is really powerful stun’s real fast
duolong- is almost the same but his launcher doesn’t send u to the sky anymore, but he can still use the tactics and still confuse u
duckKing- is funky it took me awhile to find my groove with him but once i found it damn he was good i just wish he had a cross over lol
Eiji- is fast powerful very reliable jump in attacks verygood character
elizebeth- very basic character and u can spam that damn uppercut freakin josh and anthony pissed me off haha they made me stop using maxima because of her and her LDm is godly anti-air ahhhhhhh but a simple character to use
Terry- has a whole new feeling and is very powerful combo friendy and he’s a very reliable charcter
Iori- got toned down damage wise and speed is down but his new anti-air super is good
Kensou- is good very good he’s got a move for every possible situation his fireball had horrible recovery time so u can’t chase after it anymore but he makes up for it with alot of moves and even a damn command grab very good character.
Ralf- is ridiculously powerful his crouching C then uppercut move is painful i got hit by that three times in a row all counter hits left with 10% or something like that i was scared shitless when he did that still slow so pressure games will beat him
Vannessa - is real good although her dash doesn’t have priority anymore but still another good character to fear.
Kim- has been nerfed move wise and good damage his Qcb Qcf+k move if blocked by opponent has instant recovery and is very combo freindly he hurts to his poking game is insane.
This comments r based on my opinion I don’t want any shit from anyone, very good game its really fun and tag out combo’s aren’t as easy as those match videos u saw but once u get used to the idea your timing gets better. and escaping is beautiul OMG i’m gonna Die nah i’ll just escape and continue to fight later on pretty sweet Its sweet Sweet.
