Who Are The Best 3 Pepole in 2k2? and in 2k3?

I still don’t understand how Leona somehow got to High tier, and overthrew Vanessa…
Well emil here it goes, since you say not to know why or for what rezson leona is high tier, its simple really. Speed, this is one her many avdantages, but what makes her such a good player is, or at least to my point of view, is that you can space yourself out very good with her taps like croouching A and B which evantually forces your oppnent to go to the air but leona has many good anti airs like her slasher jumping CD and D, but yet is most amazing to see how much priority her V-slasher has it is incredible. So if your opponent jumps a little after you did just do her V-slasher to take a good chunk of life from your opponent, because it will most likely end up as a counter hit. The one thing you have got to know how to do is to use her speed, if you can control her speed and therefore use it to her advantage your good to go.
Oh by the way i think O.Yashiro should be in the high tier category.
…That doesn’t explain how she’s better than other characters like Vanessa, just explains what she can do…if speed is the main reason, we already know Vanessa has more speed. But either way, the reason I ask is because I do not see Leona used in high level competition…although all the tourney videos I’ve seen are from 2003-2004 (and no one used her in those tourneys), so perhaps they’ve begun using her recently in some 2005 tournaments. I’m also wondering why Orochi Chris is not in the high tier, since he’s used way too often in tourneys(far more than Orochi Yashiro).

Yeah, I missed Vanessa and Orochi Chris. I was trying to remember everyone’s place off the top of my head. I’ve seen them used much more than Leona. Here’s a new one:
2002:
Top - Billy, Athena, Choi
High - Iori, Orochi Chris, Vanessa, Benimaru
High Balanced - Leona, Yuri
Leona would be higher than Vanessa had it not been for Vanessa’s versatility in and out of MAX mode. Leona does easy damage, but isn’t that much of a threat until she has a stock ready for a V-Slasher counter. Vanessa, on the other hand, can easily switch between offense and defense, and can play real good ground safety with back Puncher Vision. It all depends on who you play more and who you play against, I guess.
Orochi Yashiro would be mid-tier due to the fact that he lack specials that hit. All of his moves are grabs, so all you would have to do to counter is jump and out prioritize or trade normals with him. He has the same normals as his original version, and the other version is easier to pressure with since his super connects off of jab, and a combo with one super bar equals 60-65%. Vice would be the top grappler in 2002, followed by Daimon and Ramon.
The tier list is a only a comparison of the characters based on total damage, ease of damage, ease of use, and tournament play style. I try not to follow the tiers too much so I can see the potential of all characters without the pressure of “not going to be top.” That why I use characters like May Lee, Angel, and mostly Kyo.
I think angel too in a way well with the high balance l see so many good angel players so l agree that she should be on the high balanced as well man well enough said its just my opinion guys!
Well i have to disagree with you guys on this one, for some reason i think that leona is better than vanessa, though she might be slightly slower than vanessa, I still think loena has alot more pririty moves over vanessa, but like ash 2k4 said, “just my opinion”.
Well this is my opinion vanessa has god speed lol well sure leona has her very fast taps and very fast v slasher but compared to vanessa leona has nothing on vanessa has speed she can overpower leona in alot of departments. Like her dash in thats is fast as hell and if you know how to control her dash well she could really be powerful and to add this all d, b than f b bc, run standing c , f a qcf c tap punch repeatly than qcf k and rises and repeat you know guys you can do up to 80 to 100 % well its clear that vanessa is the winner heh.
Just curious…any of you have any match vids with that ANSWER guy in it? He is entering the DTX KOF o2 tourney the 22nd of this month…I wanna see what hes got…
I beat him online pretty easily, back when I was wayy worse than I am now. I didn’t see anything noticeably good about him.

KOF2k2 the original arcade one IMO is a well-balanced game for the most part. The other versions like the PS2 and Neo Wave really arent because thereS a HUGE DISCREPANCY between SVC Geese (hehe) Goenitz, O. Iori, and some others and hell in NW even Saisyu, Choi,and Young Geese (MORE GEESE HEHEHE) And Geez, in NW hes(Young Geese see avatar hehe) vicious and Im talking about THE WATERED DOWN NON BOSS VERSION. theres shit I’m still discovering like a near-flawless ambiguous Crossover setup and stuff like that and other things that make him very very lethal!!!

2k2 is said in many circles second to 98, why…well its a dream match and unites dead and other characters back. Tekken does this via “dark ressurrection” or making some story thing that the characters dies 5 times then comes back. SNK just makes a dream match.
3.See #1-Geese, Goenitz, O. Iori destroy the game, they are straight from SVC, and to me that makeS GEESE ONE OF THE TOP TWO in the game, bc he has access to ALL THE SVC STUFF PLUS NOW HE HAS the 2k2 style BC cancel, doesnt need too many combos to kill now, and he has all 4 types of jumps in 2K2…that is lethal…overpowering and I can continue…

No you can still buy it, just dont play as the last three unlockable characters…O.Iori has a infinite
