yeah basically, except they almost never work except in the corner, or sometimes I use them when I’m rushing down, because you can make him descend forwards by pressing towards the opponent. Oh and you can do funny cross ups on the incoming character. But it’s not that great really, the slide is infinetly better.

It seems that like many characters its the technicality as a whole that costs Duck King…whereas its hella easier with less work to win with KGO than to put in the time and effort with Duck King…

I decided to actual to attempt to use Oswald today with all this talk on him, my question is how do you do his Ace trick combo. I know it’s a corner (i think) and has some sort of time constraint to it (i believe/ also heard)
in corner get yourself one character away from opponent then :
df+A, qcf+B, qcf+A, qcf+B, qcf+E
no timing required.
I think it takes more skill because of his timing is different. Gato and Kula have more room for error
If you mean the DM ending to Ace then that’s a lie, timing is so needed.

the dial-a-combo is easy once you get it down, no biggie, though I have been known to mess up the finisher it clutch situations cause I’m lame. As for the slide to grab, I buffer it, right as the slide is finishing up, in training mode I’m 100% but in real life it’s much worse, I also end up getting HH’s alot when I try so I normally do it with D, that way I can get HH D which is pretty good and will cross up on crouchers. Of course if you use HH B instead if they try and jump away and you get a jump you’ll tag them almost for sure.
Kabuki’s special Duck trick #1 - The slide(df+b, is really good and really unsafe. Against a fireball such as ryo’s duck will slide right under safe as can be and knock ryo out of it, usefull when ryo is doing fireball pressure in the corner. Remember it puts duck really low to the ground so it can actuallyslide under a bunch of stuff including many of those pesky far fierces and E’s such as Ryo, Ralf, and Kensou.
Special slide mixup - cr.b, cr.a, st.b, f+A or cr.b,cr.a,st.b slide. It is possible to go for another cr.b instead but often this will put you too far away to be able to combo into the qcb+k that’s why I use the slide. As long as used sparingly the slide can be an amazing addition to your duck arsenal.
Also geese is right, Duck king takes lots of work, even if he does have simple chains, it’s just he’s execution intensive for the most part and that sucks, but I love him, he’s my best character and I’ll never stop playing him!
The main thing about Oswald is that most of his moves are very unsafe and that everything cancels into each other + the timing for Ace. Other than that Gato and Kula are easier to win with…and you notice…both are higher on the tiers…because they are easier to win with…
Yes with Duck King you need to master him in order to get the most out of his safe strings and pokes/combos and his aerial rushdown manuevers.
He is my next character to master…him and Gai…as soon as I do I will surely be inputting my 2 cents.

k’ and kula are my main people im tryin to get good in…besides momoko and a few others…anyways…do any of yall know a good move to come in as when i tag them out into a combo?? For example…with k’ i get in close and press SP then F+LP and then i hit the switch button to still link the combo with kula. Any suggestions on a good opening hit with kula or k’??
I use practically everyone Ouro…but yes we do need more Duo users…
and Momoko users…quit taking the easy way out guys…learn complex characters as well as the easy/basic ones…

I dont care anymore about this KFORCE crap. We are far away to look like an organized team. When we went to EVO, I was broke, still I bet Mago 5 bucks 3 out of 5. Guess how much the rest of the so-called KFORCE bet ? … Nothing.
They knew they were going to lose ( as was I ) so they didnt bet anything. At least I did that, because that was the only way I could play Mago 3 times in a row, and actually analyze him better by doing it. The rest just wanted to HAVE FUN.
There was no KOF XI tourney at the end, coz nobody knows how to organize shit. I really dont get it when you have the opportunity of ONCE IN A YEAR to play these top japanese players and see of what you are made of, and still they dont spend even a miserable amount of 5 dollars in order to play em. But when it comes to spend money on food, they dont care … I really dont get it.
As for the videos we recorded with mago and RF … the guy that was supposed to upload them at youtube, decided to not put em. Instead he uploaded random footage from the hotel, the pool, the jacuzzi, the buffet … pretty stupid.
So from now on … fuck that Kforce crap, Im out.
