Hey reconchatumare where you located ? I’m trying to get decent at this game but only have one person to play with who I taught most of the stuff too… ^_^;;
DM ending, I thought that it was a move that looks like a DM (and does the damage) but isn’t one?
That’s what I’ve read on Cyberfanatix
Im in Anaheim, Orange county. You are in SD, so the chances of us playing on a regular basis is not that high.
Do not pay attention to that nerdy scrub. Just do what I said and you will have ur Ace ( DM alike ) move done easily without timing required.
I learned it from Mago itself … no joke.
Jorge, sign me up…
I wanna take them down…problem with me is distance…but that is something I’m working on…playing for fun for me is never the goal…I have fun playing the game or I don’t play it sure…but other than that I always play seriously…
I say fuck playing for fun… If I wanna have fun I’ll go to a strip club and be surrounded by beautiful Hispanic women and beer…now thats fun!! :badboy:
I’m planning on being up there on 18th. But will most likely be busy… oh well.
what part of OC ?
Alright, thanks I’ll give it a try, I’ll update on my progress.
disneyland Area/fullerton/little tokyo
Don’t know what my stops are yet. But I am going to try to go to Arcade Infinity if I have the time.
Speaking of low-tier chars why do people STILL bitch when I destroy them with Silver or Adel when they are using Kula/Gato/Kyo? Some people don’t belive that the bosses are only middle/low-tier chars LOLZ.
I use Hayate and Gai too much…
Its because like the other situation AF…you must understand your level of competition is relatively low…so if they talk smack about that then it means they are not quite that good to keep from being too insulting…
Real competitors and good people don’t bitch…they search for solutions…be it Oswald, or even if Magaki was allowed…they would still seek solutions…not excuses…
Plus they lack exposure…which can beat even top players…exposure is huge…it really is…look at reconchatumare’s post on the EVO Jap raping to see for yourself…
Its the truth…
It happens…some different style of play a top player has never seen before can be their undoing…
But besides that they just lack exposure and arent that great to begin with.
i love those words
my blood…boils…
Agreed. Thats what makes GOOD competition fun, everyone does everything different.
Yeah. I think all the crazy good Asians out here burned themselves out on KOFXI the first two months or so after it’s release. I think only 1 out of the five of them still shows up at Super Arcade out here.
Meanwhile at AI random apperances by the INSANE Gato/Eiji player are feared because the guy is so CRAZY good with the two aforementioned characters. There’s one more guy that’s good too but he picks random chars and gets killed about 70% of the time and has to pick top tier chars to win Sigh
Sad truth is there are LOTS of scrubby KOFXI players in my area latley…picking Kyo/Kula/Iori or Gato and getting killed by my team of Gai/Tizoc/Silver bitching to thier friend next to them in whatever languege(Spanish or Chinese) blarg…
I’m happy to see K4 taking over the scene after my retirement.
on other news I helping organize a mayor tourney in tijuana, mexico. this is their first mayor national tourney, and it will be a two day event. oct 27 and 28. the games on the lineup are t5,mvc2,3s,garou,kofxi,02 and 98. for all of u who want some serious competition specially in kof make sure to drop by will provide housing for all US players.
For kof2k2, are Esteban, Abraham, Kula and Kanibal going to be there? If so, US are going to get raped.
I understand that totally AF…what you gotta understand though man is you are as only as good as your competition…which means if all you play are scrubs then you can’t expect to be too much better if you don’t compete in tournies or get exposure.
Take my instance…I surely do not have access to K-Force level players so I soak up whatever I can get at tournies to make up for the lack of true competition…
I do not lack the dedication…and that is where I question people today…where is their heart? How easy do they want victory?
For me that means saving up 1k plus for money just for the hope of traveling from state to state just to get a different slice of the pie and in turn amplify up my game tremendously to heights I never thought possible…
Exposure is key…yes even being in Denton I can end up beating a top dog from Cali, K-Force or somewhere else…because of my dedication and taking the most out of every tourney I go to so that I even give the players from places with major competition a run for their money and earn their respect…even moreso not being from a place lavish with super high level competition…
If you doubt this happens I have one that hits reall close to home for me with my best friend Ryan Abella-aka jra64…one of the Worlds top Tekken players…from Lubbock, Texas…a nowhere virtually in the Tekken or anything scene…
It can be done…and I will do it…
Wow thats some dedication…
Thanks Cordorroy…I am one of the hardest working in the business…and you can’t get around hard work if you want to be the best…there is no substitute for it…
Because I know people who by my terms live in an ideal situation…they have access to top level comp all the time…yet they still are horrible/sucky/scrubs at the game…
Which makes me question someones dedication…because I live in Denton, Texas…I practically built the SNKP scene here and helped it quickly get publicity along with some others…
I slave to try to catch up with players who have more experience/access to comp and use it and more money than me…
I just have to work that much harder to catch up…and that is what I do…
But it can be done…
Which is why I don’t understand how people can live in Japan/Cali and be scrubs at KOF…I just don’t get it…it makes me question commitment…because I would be at HP all the time recording matches…soaking it up…asking questions…
ask Oscar…part of my quick understanding of KOFXI now comes from my interrogation  of him at Tex Shodown 6…
I asked him everything I could think of…and wrote down like 5 pages worth of notes…why not learn from one of the best…and thats what I did and now i am ready to throw down…:nunchuck:
Just peeped the SBO vids…
Holy hell Kaoru is a monster. I mean I knew that from watching other vids of him from before, but geez. I don’t think any of his matches were even close >.>
