Sort of except Athena is leagues better than whip just based on LDM alone. I’m trying to argue that people put her too low in general, as I think characters such as whip and Hayate, and too a lesser extent ramon, have much more trouble than she does. I agree with DG Whip is the absolute worst in XI, she’s got nothing going for her and I think to truly be effectice she has to be your leader, otherwise she’s got no, back up off me style moves, which are essential for this game.
Yeah Whip must have her LDM. It is the only thing that makes her really worth using. And I must agree Athena is better and doesn’t get much credit as she should. Imo, she’s not that crappy. But i never played her in the 2k2 piece of shit

So see guys…we should reorganize the tiers because I know Momoko is better than Whip…The LDM is the only thing making Whip worth trying…nothing else I can think of…
Oh yeah Ramon is tons better than whip. His cr.C rush down is enough for that, heh. Not to mention if you do it right his running grab is amazing! I like it better than all of the other ones int he game. Hyper hop E or hyper hop D are amazing! I think the worst thing for me is that I always fuck up his target meter combo when I get a chance, I can do the normal one, but not the one with super, which sucks. But still I like ramon alot!
Oh yeah I know, fun indeed!! He has a hard time against zoners…and he has no reliable Anti Air…so you can rush Ramon down all day…thus forcing Ramon to be aggressive…
And that suits his style…but defense hurts him…and getting in on zoners is a task for Ramon…
Using his new Anti Fireball Super…(he jumps off the wall) Is good ONLY if you anticipate them throwing a fireballl…whiff and you’re screwed!!!
Also…since we are now whoring Cr. C…you guys should use other normals and Cancel with qcb+C as well…something to try…to keep your opponents guessing your timing…
Also mix in manual running & stopping with Ramon with his running Command Grab, because they look very similar.
And of course we know what 95% of Ramon’s do after they kill someone…
They do the big man wrestler body splash to crossup and link to combo…so why not use that and backstep a little to nail them in front to screw up their blocking??

that supers not really new, the just changed how you do it. I really only use the wall run to get out of the corner normally, though I’ll occasionaly go for the regular commad off it, or just do a jumping E, it can also be good for some mixups depending how close you are. Another good thing to do is cr.D xx qcb+c, HH C for and then go for another mixup, or sometimes after that I’ll empty HH or HH A that whiffs and go immediately into command grab, or just do that into the running command grab, it 's pretty cool.
Well I thought it was new because you never ever see people do it with Ramon in vids since 2000…his beginning…its almost taboo…
I rarely if ever have seen match vids that incorporate it. Yeah that Cr. D mindgame is good as well!!!
