Gato’s so retardly good. It’s like…you do something random and you can captilize even if your randomness is blocked/traded or whatever…
I used Hayate for a little while today. DP+B stops nearly EVERYTHING they thry to throw at you on wakeup. QCF+A is the straight fast boomer and QCF+C is the sorta AA version which is still pretty damn useful for those who like to hop alot.
Random D+C and QCB+D have thier uses. It’s like NOBODY knows what to expect from Sho. QCBX2+P DM on wakeup is pretty useful as well.
Kim’s freaking annoying and his moves are fast. He’s Gato lite almost.
Kim is a watered down version of his NGBC self…but still enough to do some damage.
I agree with the Ash stuff…more for annoyance he is up in the tiers. I also agree that DL’s LDM is better than Ash’s for the reasons Ouro listed.
I tell you what guys…after some play with Momoko I see she definately takes some dedication. I feel like I have her down to a degree but the things bad I have noticed is the first is pretty obvious but the second may not be
** #1- She has to be close to do damage (Ala May Lee, Angel) and zoners surely give her a hard time #2- Many of her combos/high low mixups CAN BE ROLLED OUT OF…you have 2 know which of them can be rolled out of because once you get them in the corner it ain’t as easy as you see in the Guadalajara vids unless the person you are playing is a complete noob at the game…**
But…Karacanceling into her chains ala Angel and May Lee is a good way to get into what you want to get into…but man if someone has an uppercut and fireball Momoko has a hard time fighting them. Plus her damage anit the great (that she takes) so she surely takes work!! But I will continue to push her and will post up more stuff later as I continue to work with her!!! Her air stomp is godly…IF and only if you mix up the D and b versions and with the B versions follow up with her air b crossup etc to whatever you want.
cr.b is good as well because you can set up a frame trap with cr. bxxcr.C…and if they get hit by the Cr.C you can go into her combo series…
Something I noticed about Malin is that you cannot Karacancel her St.E!!! Unless I’ve missed the timing this is like the first one to do that!!!
And because as cam347 said about Geese earlier Geese’s St.E in this game IS AN OVERHEAD…serving many functions!!!

Geese is def. good. His BnB combos even work well as poke strings and are very safe

Def. leader worthy. He’s got the high-counter for save shift attempts. I donno if Raging Storm can be used I dont see why not I just cant verify it. I can only do the Raging Storm in SVC for no reason lol.
The only thing that DL has on ASH (LDM wise) is the fact that it can be done anywhere. But, like I said, Ash’s can be done from mid-screen (you shouldn’t be trapped in the corner anyways). So it isn’t that big of a deal.
Also, Ash’s doesn’t take a skill stock to use (unlike DL). After the hcf+C just run in and do the LDM to juggle them back up. To do the LDM without having any other attacks come out: Hold down A+B+C, then qcf+D. The LDM will come out as a single move with no whiffs before it.
Plus DL’s can be saving shifted out of while Ash’s can not. Ash’s is obviously better if for that reason alone.
the only way he can connect the LDM off midscreen is off a command throw. unless u spend the whole match hunting for the command grab, i doubt its that easy to land that ldm.
secondly, the ldm is hard as hell to do, for the damage it does, so therefore its impractical.
will yes u can two-in-one the LDM in XI unlike 2k3. But I think it is impratical though. Since with all these different juggles and commands u have a better chance of fuckin ur combo up as compared to somethin simple with Kula, sweep or anti-air normal to LDM. I mean his LDM combos are great but take alot of time, dedication & effort. And u can really only verify the LDM off of the command throw. And this LDM is something u cant use stand alone for punishment or anything like maybe Adel, Kula, Ozzie, and it has no invincibility frames hence u have to combo into it otherwise there’s no point in trying to use it. Now if his LDM was just the Germinal then I would consider. Extremely fast, if the opponent plays footsie u can catch them off guard with the Germinal. Leads to free cross-up, and imagine landing it on Gato, no specials oh no he foocked!!! And u may verify it off of crouching Ax2, the only big problem is the lack of damage done. In addition, I like unblockable LDMS like Adel’s

I think they still didn’t fix the sticks though. For whatever reason, it only really seemed to start acting up when that Asian (read: probably Chinese) guy that shows up to kill me starts playing for reason. I was fine on that side for the most part beforehand, but afterword, it started freezing. You also seemed relatively fine on that side.

Hey… is it just me, or does Ryo flip his opponent the bird during one of his winning pose animations? It’s really quick, at the begining of the animation.
i use ash’s LDM even as antiair…i can’t rely on hcfA/C grab 'cause everytime i try to land one i get my ass kicked away with a combo
obviously you have to use the well known shortcut to use it properly
then ash’s comes in easily off a tag in with no other skill stock
the most common setup for my team are
from second hit of terry’s power charge if near corner or in corner
from dpB AB hcfD hcfD QS into ash and LDM

the ldm can come in easily off a jump A then inputting the rest BCD
and it seems that it can be buffered as well…so you have to be not so precise when executing it…
i’m still on ash’s>>duolon’s due to the save shift discussion i’ve done before
and OBVIOUSLY if you want ash as leader you have to put him in a team made of charas that can cornerize opponent well or at least take him into a position where ash can come in and do his fireball juggle
