You should be able to give yourself more health in the option menu, and/or lower the difficulty. You should be able to tweak the game so its perfect for the level of play you are willing to deal with.

My friend just got the game here, and this ish is crazy fun.
As you guys may know, I am a Nagase player. I honestly think she’ll go up on the tier list now. She has some notable additions that make her really good now. For example…
air qcf p, lk, lk: This makes her do a double jump, and then do the launch kick, which makes for even more air games and it really helps to evade some moves and supers. the hard kick follow up now does not knock down, and has more hitstun, so you can combo after it on a hit.
qcf p: She does a quick teleport into a low or an uppercut. The low hit can be used in combos to hit confirm into super.

Did anyone figure out that super follow up for Luise yet? I suck at doing it even once, so I’ll never get the follow up. :sad:

are you sure it’s a follow up? not just an alternitive method of doing the move, i say this because i tried doing the bottom command Down up down forward back+ punch and it gives me the super grab although it does give me a faster start up allmost instantly grabs them but does exactly the same damage.
try it for yourself, put cpu on block and just do the LP LP chain and buffer it from that, it’s pretty easy, you’ll see the differance in the start up for yourself, has a follow up to this super been confirmed or even seen or done for that matter

now that intrigues me greatly.
several questions:
do they have to be full jumps as opposed to hyper hops, and do they have to be done sequentially to get the wall’s detection to stop being accounted for? do they have to be empty jumps or can Kula knock you down in the corner, repeatedly do hyperhop C ( her highest priority move ) into said corner to trap you, and then potentially get the infinite? granted the way stages work in this game it would almost be nigh impossible to ever see this replicated in a match, but Kula does take you to the wall fairly well, for example at the beginning of most matches i tend to try and beat out someone’s opener with:
s.AAAC, 214D, walk up 623C cancel to 214D, which will usually put them in the wall vicinity.
however if this has to be done at a 45 degree angle then you’d have to start the match by shifting planes in order to sort of force it, but yeah, against anyone good, nigh impossible, as anyone with a mote of intelligence isn’t going to let you randomly back them into a corner.
although there is one thing about this that potentially worries me; athena’s bracelet super. i’m wondering if she can somehow activate it, juggle the person to the corner with repeated hyperhop C’s and then get the infinite. i want to test that today…
Those are questions I have yet to test, but when I was recording myself doing the glitch, it seems to be very specific in the way in worked. Now that you know it’s there, try plenty of things to, I’ll also let you guys know if I find something out.
Doesn’t seem like the corner glitch will end up being any kind of detriment to actual serious play.
As was said, it would be almost impossible to re-create in a real match. Frankly, if you get backed into the corner (and most stages are pretty damn big, a lot bigger than say, VF or Tekken’s walled stages) and let someone normal jump over you like 5 times in a row, you’re pretty much going to lose the round anyway.
After more testing, it is very specific. (You need the normal jumps at the 45 degree angle) Although, what’s funny, if the glitch is performed, then it’s stays active for a finite amount of time under the conditions that neither players hits any part of the wall during that period.

Our arcade, University Pinball, here in Philly is getting the game in like 2 weeks. So now we’ll be able to practice on ps2 and then play in the arcade against people. Also, are there any good combo vids for nagasi, and kula diamond?
Does the PS2 version of this game require you to unlock every little thing in it like MI2 did?
As far as I know, nope. Everything should already be unlocked.
