The autoguard on the dp is great but Kyo’s dp+C is invincible at startup.
He can start a BC combo from df+D, easier than Kusanagi can (since Kyo’s close C is faster than Kusanagi’s).
One bad thing is that Kusanagi’s BC combo that utilizes f+B’s in the combo, do not work most of the time on crouching opponents (f+B doesn’t combo).
If you’re an expert at doing instant run up throws (hcb, run up hcb+AC), it can be good…if you make the opponent fear you and jump around, you can just do the SDM orochinagi (which is almost pretty much unpunishable.
Lately I’ve been practicing Kyo’s delayed orochinagi combos and they actually are not that hard. WIth Kyo, you can do df+D(two hits), qcb hcf+BC(to BC cancel and do orochinagi immediately), delay it for 0.4-0.8 seconds and it will combo. My accuracy with this combo is about 95%, so it isn’t as hard as I had initally thought.
Damnit, I had a really good youtube video of a killer Kusanagi, but the guy’s account got suspended now for some reason…so no video.
