Kneel Before SRK - The Man of Steel Movie Thread

Ok and this makes him even more dangerous and Superman killing him still the only option he had

Holy shit Superman fans are bad when a brony is schooling yall like this.

Friendship is magic and Superman IS weak to magic.

The comic is terrible too, just a big fuck you to good comics that have actual change in them, because that is bad and requires effort lol. Just like growing up and not worshiping a flying fairy in place of Jesus.

What’s So Funny About Truth, Justice, and the American Way? is shallow soapboxing. It doesn’t do anything that a dozen other comics do better, including other Superman stories.

The funny thing is, Mark Millar himself did a better job of deconstructing Knight Templar-type superheroes with Superman: Red Son.

Comic book writer Marc Andreyko tries to defend Man of Steel from nerd rage

why exactly would terraforming earth remove zods powers, when the sun would still exist >_>

I’m confused on this point too, it might be down to poor writing again. The sun still existed on Zod’s ship but the air there weakened Superman, which would suggest some sort of kryptonite air. So terraforming Earth would bring about kryptonite air they would all be powerless too. But this doesn’t quite make sense because on Earth Zod and co wore helmets and still had super powers.

I was watching a youtube review (JeremyJahns) he came up with a great idea for the Justice League movie. Have Aquaman be the cause of the oil rig explosion.

EDIT: Faora displayed super strength on the ship, she almost punched straight through Lois’s emergency capsule. Just doesn’t make sense that Superman loses his powers but they don’t, unless being a natural birth made him physically weaker =/

Saw this for the second time last night. My opinion of it is slightly higher. I like the aesthetic of a lot of it and the scenes with Supes and Ma Kent melted my Swedish heart.

On the other hand, Superman murdering Zod is still absolute fucking horseshit. Dialogue in some places is appallingly bad, but I’m not really surprised at bad dialogue coming from the dream team responsible for The Dark Knight Rises.

Doesn’t Superman not need to breathe anyways? I mean, he flies through space…

Zod’s ship mirrored Krypton’s atmospheric conditions, which I believe in this movie is just as important as the sun’s radiation in giving powers. It’s the sum of Earth’s atmosphere being more nourishing and the younger and brighter sun radiation empowering cells. I believe the kryptonian battle suits also gave them some strength too.

lol at the whole collateral damage discussion, and comparing green as fuck Superman to the Avengers team who are mostly military trained and have fought significant threats before.

Here’s Supes not giving more fucks. “Hurr he should’ve taken them out of the city”

Superman should have just let the tanker hit him. The movie had him dodging shit far too often.

Remember superman is nerfed to shit in movies and cartoons.

I wish at least 1 movie didn’t nerf supes:(

Which movie is the first video from?

The JLU clip shouldn’t count. No one lives in that city yet. Lex and the press were the only ones there.

the first and third clips are from Superman: Doomsday.

It’s from Superman: Doomsday. It’s… not good.

Subtle hint: the guy in the real Superman costume isn’t the real Superman.

Point taken with no one being in that city. My point still stands though. It was pretty much his first day on the job after learning about his history, while dealing with his race conflict, and also up against opponents on equal footing to him which he has never experienced before in his entire life. It’s a lot to take in and you can’t just expect him to be the blue boy scout who’s everywhere at once straight off the bat.

Besides, just how there never seems to be anyone in the buildings in the cartoons and shit, it’s safe to assume everyone had evacuated the buildings that Zod and Supes smashed into. Superman used his super hearing and knew that no one was in danger so he was able to concentrate on Zod.

I really like how in the movie, Zod did the signature Dragon Throw to Supes. What is it with flying fighters and the hammer toss?

Out of the man of steel apologetics…this was one was terrible.

Supes destroyed those buildings without carrimg who could have been inside. For all we know supes must have killed hundreds of innocent people…

There was no one inside because he use his super hearing and x-ray vision to check beforehand. He also calculated the angle and force behind each attack so if there were any people inside, they would not be harmed.

Oh and he also killed hundreds of innocent people by being on the other side of the planet destroying the Terraforming machine that was attacking the middle of nowhere, when he could’ve been destroying the one that was causing devastation to a populated city.

Wait…this is getting confusing. Does Supes give a fuck or not?

The actual question should be, “Does Zack Snyder give a fuck?”

Hint: The answer is NO.

Oh, I remember seeing a comment in here about the insect-like designs of the Kryptonian ships.

They’re making a link with the insect-like nature of the Kryptonians. Mechanically engineering their offspring to fit predetermined roles and shit, like ants.
