[spoiler=]It made sense for Zod to continue with the terraforming plan. It took Clark over 30 years to control his powers and for his body to grow custom to Earth’s biosphere. I doubt Zod and his comparisons had that kind of time.[/spoiler]

Superman tells Zod how to master his senses during the fight in Smallville, it takes Zod about 10 minutes after being exposed to Earth’s air to be able to do just that and be just as strong. He then strips off his armour and flies (took Superman 2 attempts to learn to fly)

His godly powers which seem to have no limits far outweighs his need for hardened fighting skills. It makes more sense for someone like Batman or Green Arrow to to be top notched hand to hand fighters considering they have no powers whatsoever.
In the context of the DCU though, there are other super beings who have MA skills hence why he needs to up his game. Supes was exceptional in his H2H so it only makes sense the sequel would address this.
Saw it, liked it for what it was. Felt like a one-shot movie. So much for a JLU teaser-lead in. Finally DBZ/Matrix fight met superman.

Apparently Nolan doesn’t have the heart for movie making anymore
So my take on this.
Awesome to finally see a Superman film in which he cuts loose and shows just how powerful he is and the fight scenes are amazing.
However, nothing in this film tops the plane rescue from Returns. The ultimate feel good superman moment from any of the films.
lol im surprised they used so much of birthright in it…lol its like one of the only superman tradebacks i own. the opening scene though…had me and my mom laughing in the theater. a lil too much lion king for our taste.

I would agree with the first sentence, but to the second sentence, I would substitute several scenes from the 1978 movie–including the chopper rescue that obviously inspired the plane scene.

Grace blocked me from her channel and even left a message for me telling me I "went too far"since I basically called her on her shit in the injustice video. Her problem is that she routinely says a lot of shit in a very declarative "matter of fact"way without providing much explanation or facts behind it. I was thinking of making a video response to her but she would just block it anyway.
