As much as I disdain Superman fans as a whole, and a lot of his shitty stories(What’s So Funny About Truth, Justice & the American Way comes to mind). I am still fucking SUPER eager to see him wreck Zod’s shit in this movie. I know everyone is gonna groan when I mention Dbz, but this movie doing well and actually making that kinda of action really mesh well on screen will open up a LOT of possibilities in the film industry. I am hoping that this flick ends up being not only great, but extremely successful in a way that the shitty comic industry could never understand.
Actually I was referring to Zod’s as it’s the first time we’ve seen him in battle gear. Funny your mind would immediately turn to homosexual thoughts though.

Watched the premiere on the 11th.
This is by far the best DBZ movie ever.
The movie was awesome, my only complaint is that some of the CG Looked kind of off

Avengers was shit.
This movie was so fucking amazing(though, not perfect) that I now hate every superhero movie ever made before it.
I can no longer watch an action scene from anything before this movie and be amazed, jesus christ the fights in this movie gave me wood.
Not just them, when supes ripped off that metal door, shirtless, hairy, and on fire I turned gay for about 3 seconds.
My major gripe is that they decided to go the “fuck it” route with the Clark Kent at the Bugle thing, unfortunately, they didn’t even try a little bit.
I also loved the occasional LexCorp product cameos, I cant wait to see what crazy shit Lex will do with these kind of writers and action scene animators/choreographers. Probably gonna introduce Kryptonite.
My question about Lex is, will they get Willis?
the movie is great if you are a casual supes fan!!

seriously, there is no vibrancy in this movie at all. it’s all muted. Supes blue is like a navy, nearing black in some scenes. the red is blood red and there’s no yellow in that symbol at all. The movie feels very grey. My gf remarked that it made her tired, a feeling I felt as well.
-kryptonian designs being so insect-like
-kryptonian intro taking forever. seriously, the launch took a hella long time, just to throw a needless death of jor el by zod?
-Superman’s suit, a symbol of his humanism being handmade for him by his mom, is now a hand-me-down from Jor-El.
-Supe’s cape being ridiculously long. why do they keep with that awful motif. dude isnt batman
-Cavil is a great Supes. Not a good Clark.
-Amy Adams as Lois Lane. Also screaming out CLARK and kissing him. there goes the shocking reveal.
all minor stuff that doesnt matter cause it didn’t stop the movie from being good

Honestly I think that’s a plus, it makes a lot more sense, plus it explains the durability. I thought this was already a thing in comics, I never heard of a story where she made it for him.
I liked them going in a less stupid route, but not too much like they did with Batman, which I hated.

Avengers is Dragonball and Superman is DBZ. While Avengers had some over the top action that fit the motif of the characters, it made perfect sense for Superman to have that DBZ level spectacle of fights. It was a bit hard to follow at times but it was solid stuff.
Ay, i’m not that big on DC, especially not Superman lore, I wouldn’t know, just assuming.
Also, that doesn’t make sense, if it’s durable Kryptonian material how would she be able do anything with it, enough to make a suit, or even a cape out of it.
Not saying she didn’t, it’s just another one of those dumb things in comics.
Nolan’s involved, so I don’t think we’ll be getting any more color any time soon.
anything skin level on supes doesnt get damaged. he would be just as invulnerable in a normal tshirt as his supersuit
So I just saw the Superman movie… and I liked it! Not mind-blowingly awesome but it was a solid introduction to the Superman cinematic universe. Random thoughts: Amazing CGI, appropriately epic fight scenes, I still wish Lois Lane had black hair, and God fucking damn Superman is foine. Yup. I said it. That man is fucking sexy as hell. Overall, 8/10.
I have one major complaint but that is most likely to bug comic book readers and Wonder Woman fans… it is spoiler-ish so…

Okay so Superman is forced to kill at the end of the movie by snapping a guy’s neck. This was something stolen from Wonder Woman. It was an iconic scene that really sets her apart from all the other superheroes in the DC universe in that it shows that she is the only one who is willing to kill for the greater good. Everyone else refuses to kill under any circumstances. It just annoys me that this director (who also did this in Watchmen) takes iconic moments from female characters and gives them to male characters.
Most people probably won’t care though.
