First time I’ve been genuinely interested in anything Superman in a long time, should be a decent movie.

Superman grew up baling hay on a farm. He goes to work, for a boss, in an office. He pines after a hard-working gal. Only when he tears off his shirt does that heroic, ideal inner self come to life. That’s actually a much more adult fantasy than the one Batman’s peddling but it also makes Superman a little harder to sell. He’s much more of a working class superhero, which is why we ended the whole book with the image of a laboring Superman.

People who genuinely can’t relate to that, I have to wonder if they’ve gotten out and lived their lives yet.

You never know, there might be references to Wayne Enterprises or Bruce Wayne cameo. Warner want to do a Justice League movie eventually.

So my Friday is free all of a sudden and I want to grab tickets for this. Lo and behold, there is nothing but 3D shows!? Are there going to be any non 3D screenings at all?

Yeah I derped hard, I haven’t been feeling the comic movies those two have done. I’m really blah on Watchmen and the Batman movies, yeah I know I’m in the minority on the latter.

I’ll be attending an opening 3D screening, more for the “X-treme” accommodations than for the 3D presentation.

All subsequent screenings I attend (and there will be many, assuming that this movie is even slightly good) will be 2D.

We finally have a Superman with a true heroic physique. I’m pretty sure most of his impressiveness is just him, and the suit is skin tight or something. Dude actually looks like he could toss a car.

True…although it WOULD have been, had Ursa been her name in the comics when the character was first introduced. I have no idea why her name was changed to “Ursa” in Superman 2 instead of Faora. Probably couldn’t decide how to pronounce it.
