Maybe if Atlus/SNKP botch the port/online there’s hope that in a year or two someone will get a rollback netcode to work with the leak.

I have a capture card with Media Player classic. I play games with my friends on my laptop between classes.
Even if I couldn’t, I’d still buy it. I play SSF4 with its random netcode, I’m sure I can deal with this.
Have you played SNK netcode before? Makes SF4’s netcode seem gdlk. Hell, it makes MK’s netcode seem half decent. That’s how consistently bad it is.

I played Garou online a few times. It seemed OK to me. Guess I just got lucky then if it’s as bad as you say it is.
Either that or you didn’t realize how bad it was at the time.
That’s a broad assumption on my end, I don’t know when you started playing, so I’m just stating the possibility.
But Garou was awful online. It’s still on GGPO, and Ponder has always said when games get online ports on the systems, he’ll take them off. Basically that just tells you that Garou’s netcode is so non-existent that GGPO ignores that the XBLA port even has online.
I played it a few months after it came out. Played it a few times with some friends. I didn’t experience any lag on my end during those games.

no, atlus only lolcalized arcana heart 1, they werent involved on the port process btw
ecole made the ah2 port, wich wasnt localized on usa btw because the shitty quality of said port
kof xiii is being localized by atlus, they arent involved in the port process from what i know so far (i could be wrong on this)

I still didn’t think NGBC or even 2002UM was that bad considering I was playing like 250 pings. BB and SFIV ought to be pretty garbage under those circumstances as well, and hell, I’ve had non-trivial lag still playing SSFIV against someone in the same city so the anecdotes about 02UM don’t necessarily mean a lot. NGBC’s netcode wasn’t the worst thing ever in general, anyways, not that it was SELL THE WAGON BOBBY JEAN WE GONNA PLAY SOME ESS EN KAY great or anything.

You know, the best part about Billy is that you know this means we’re eventually getting some sort of Fatal Fury based team along the line. Think of the possibilities, Mary, Yamazaki or, god willing, Geese!
Hope the team is Geese, Billy, and Yamazaki. I don’t like the lack of jacket Billy but it’s probably one of the billions of colors anyways. I just wanted Billy, I am very content with XIII now.
