King of Fighters XIII is out on PS3 and 360!

^they’re breaking street date?

busy that wknd, no scr for me. yea, i’m in the valley near noho; down to meet up. i haven’t played snk fighters in hella long. you’d own me for free lol

What use is there to cancel a pre-order when you can just keep the pre-order and just don’t buy the game until you here about what your looking for in the title ;/. I don’t understand because all you have to do is have like 5 dollars down to keep a pre-order and by giving it up you miss the bonus that comes with it when all you had to do was wait. If by like a week you don’t like it then you can just go and get your money back and this apply’s to all pre-orders.

Do it bro. There were only a handful of people playing, like some of my friends. I went down to the local arcade and practically paid for people to try out the game. Just give people the option to try it.

Y’know, with the last ranbat for King of Fighters XIII v1.1 coming this Sunday and console edition coming a few days after, it’s understandable if you want to burn out until the game comes out. Tournament? Why would you? Well, it just so happens that if 12 or more players sign-up for KoF XIII this weekend, we will be adding an additional $100 dollars to the pot. With 12 players minimum, that’s $160 dollars in the pot. Good news indeed!

This weekend is not poverty when it comes to KOF. Wear that monacle and top hat with pride; money is on that table!

Don’t miss out, get in on that pap…I mean competition at Sunday, Southtown Arcade, 1PM PST

Streamlink for the pre-release event in Germany on saturday and sunday. Starting 12am GMT

Were they breaking street date? I always thought that if you saw a game behind glass at somewhere like Wal-Mart it was fair game. Then you have the boy scouts at GStop who refuse to go in the back for an extra $20 even if I already have a reserve.

Tuesday isn’t that far off but I’d still get a good grip of time on XIII Sunday if I somehow came across a copy. I need more hispanic friends…

They weren’t for sale from what I saw, but Best Buy must have had 50 copies for the Xbox and TRU had a couple dozen. All with the soundtrack bundled in.

I doubt either was breaking street date, TRU has a system in the register that doesn’t allow you to sell games early (can be gotten around if you know cashier but still a risk to them as it’s linked to their login). Don’t know about Best Buy, have never gotten a game early there.

But didn’t try at either location. Just thought folks would want to know.

We have a dedicated forum now everyone. So keep all KOFXIII discussion here. Enjoy.

I would if I could, sadly anyone who would be interested lives too far away.

Don’t let that stop you! Organize here, run tournaments for your county. Travel a little outside your comfort zone and keep hype alive!

I have had the 360 version on preorder for the longest time from Amazon, but it’s saying the estimated shipping date is Nov. 28… even though the release date is Nov. 22 and I got 1-day shipping. WTF

Is it common for Amazon to miscalculate shipping time like this, or should I cancel and just order it elsewhere? The soundtracks don’t mean a whole lot to me, since I pretty much have all of the OSTs and ASTs already. I’d be getting them just for the pretty packaging. Getting KOFXIII asap is the most important thing.

Change to release day delivery.

I cancelled my pre-order from amazon and decided to get it from my local gamestop, as much as I hate gamestop I want to get this game as soon as possible, I just hope they shut up with their COD MW3, oohhh I can hear 'em already and don’t give me an open box or I’ll rage I swear.

Thank you! That changed it to the 22nd. Just in time, and cheaper, to boot! :3

Wondering how you guys feel about dlc characters being bundled on the disc and requiring an update code. It’s not going to affect my purchase but if the story on the front page is legit will it cause any of you to reconsider?

From the day this was announced, there was pretty much no way I wasn’t going to buy this game. I am kinda irrational when it comes to KOF though.

On the same hand, if the story is true… it wouldn’t be the first time it’s happened. When Phantasy Star Universe came out (Sci Fi MMO) they had about 1 year of updates packed into the DVD and released it gradually throughout the year after launch. People were livid about it. They still played it though, and so did I.

Companies do this kind of thing all the time… some are just better at keeping it quiet. In any case it’s definitely something I frown upon, but it’s not a dealbreaker. If it makes SNK money so they can keep making more KOFs, by all means do it, I say! I have a feeling it’s going to garner a much more negative reaction though.

SNK marketing team is just full of the biggest morons ever. Always has been that way, unfortunately. I just hope they’ll still be able to pull themselves out of the ashes this time if things blow up in their face again.

I’ve gradually been getting more interested in the game to the point where I tried out quite a few SNK fighters recently. I’m currently struggling with Garou. The more i see this game the more i think that I may give SF a rest to put in some serious time with it. It just looks awesome. An open ended ended offensive game that doesn’t seem cheap… yes, please.

The leak appears to have come from an enthusiastic data miner, so it’s not like the company put it out there. However, I notice America as a whole doesn’t have much love for KOF as opposed to other games. At least it seems that way from the outside looking in.

Yeah, I really wish more people would give KOF a shot. SNK has a really really good chance this time to broaden their audience. KOFXIII is a great game… I just hope it does well so I actually have people to play!

Garou is awesome, one of my favorites. I really hope Rock Howard makes it into KOF one of these days! As far as older KOF games go, the dream matches are usually the most well balanced and contain the most characters… those are KOF98 and KOF2002.

It’s true what you say about KOF not really getting any love in the US, but the fans that do exist are usually pretty passionate about the series.

I got my copy at Toys ‘R’ Us today. Not sure if this is the norm, just a heads up.

Bring the game to local gatherings, and see if you can get others interested if you want the game to be more popular.
