if the game has viable online play, then it should do alright. lots of people like fighting games right now, but for all but the most serious players, good online is a requirement. amongst my fighting game circle, im the only one who likes snk games, so even for me i’m going to have to play this almost entirely online (or at the arcade, but the closest cab is an hour away so thats probably not gonna happen too often).
Its good you don’t struggle, but its difficult for me. (not saying this is a problem in Kof, but one of the reason why I have hard timing learning) The problem can vary in many ways, but kof has to be one of my hardest game to handle cancel and executing stuff. But isn’t this one the things that made KoF considered technical?
I must also express that this strict jumping seems present in Kof2k2. 2k2um, and even applies in NGBC (it can be gimmick in ngbc if use sidestep). I have hard time doing certain jumps from dash/run. Unless each jump has different start up.Trying to do Neutral or backwards jumps seems strict, It is possible but for me it requires some excessive buffering. While advancing jumps is easy from dash. To be more accurate its seems that one can only do neutral and backwards jump until their dash animation ends. While Advancing happens instantly. But as said before its not impossible but it seems to need some excessive buffering on my end.
I’m not sure if this applies in other Kof games but it seems to be a recurring design of theirs. My only other theory could be that I’m playing on pad and its difficult due to controller peripherals.
yeah dude, just keep at it, all 4 jumps will become second nature eventually. also, if you’re running the (thing that shall not be spoken about on these forums), make sure you’re using a key mapping program for your fight stick. otherwise diagonals might not work
What do you mean by new characters? The only new character we know of so far is Billy Kane, so if you see him playable, try him out please. Other rumored characters are: Eiji and Saiki, if they’re in try them out as well.
Aside from characters, see if NEOMAX’s require all of the green gauge and 2 stocks.
Finally just point out whatever you thought was interesting from playing the game.
If possible, could you ask an Atlus dev. about a possible dmeo, DLC and an EU release of the game?
i guess either no one knows about it or no one cares, but the iPhone KoF has Billy Kane in it so you can try him out there. it seems all the other characters have their full movesets so I’m assuming his is complete as well.
KOF XIII is coming to Europe it’s being published by Rising Star Games who brought us No More Heroes, a bunch of Bomberman and Harvest Moon games and som RPGs.
According to RSG website it says that there will be unlockable parts and icons too, so either way it’s still going to be nice that we’ll have some customization.
Oh and there may be 5 new characters never seen in a KOF game before
