can you blame them though, crapconm basically showed that stupids were even willing to pay for something as dumb as outfits. then you have the other stupids who buy cod map packs and pay 15 bucks for 4 maps. its the people buying these dlc’s thats giving them the wrong idea, well the right idea it seems because of these stupids. never have, never will buy dlc thats not worth it. also best part about ps3 is thast you can share dlc with other friends. like my friend bought hard corps uprising, i dl it from his account on my ps3, i buy 1 extra character, he gets that from me. another friend of ours buys the 2 other characters, all of us enjoy it for the least amount of money spend. and this is in a game wher the extra characters are only 3 bucks or something. unlike that crapcom bs theyre pulling off.
Considering the costs of making games today and the pressures publishers put on companies, that will never happen. The price of games may still be $50, but the price of making them is much higher. Thus, DLC is pushed to recoup costs.
Also, DLC done right, like adding new content like characters months after release, can be awesome.
The only thing I don’t like about DLC is retarded shit like costume packs. Namco and Sega give us a shit ton of costumes and customization for FREE, but Capcom charge for extra costumes, most of which are terrible.
New characters and modes are great though. As long as they’re not held back and sold to us later as on-disc DLC.
No, not really. Maybe DLC has left a sour taste in everyones mouths because of how it’s abused; and the fact that most DLC are just things that should’ve been on the disc from the get go.
Releasing actual additional DLC is another story…this is what SNK are doing. They are already giving us the full game + extras, so the DLC really is additional, and I welcome that.
Lets keep it to discussing the game, the dlc thing is boring, seems to take over every time

most dlc just isnt worth it and is usually something that should have been on disc already. there are worthy dlc out there, most just are not worth it.
Then you have nothing to worry about since you aren’t going to be tempted to buy it. To this date the only DLC I have bought was a Makoto in a skirt, and I’m not tempted to buy anymore.
What people don’t realize is that no, this stuff wouldn’t be on the disc, the extra revenue the DLC presents is what makes the content a priority for a developer. If Capcom didn’t think someone would buy the Alt outfits, they wouldn’t make them period. Same with Arcana Heart colors, Blazblue unlimited characters, etc. Capcom is a bit more stingy period, it’s not just DLC, they are notorious for being incredibly stingy in recent days to everything from new IPs (Lost Planet) to sequels (Megman Universe), so their DLC is more cheapskate as well.
i think the only capcom game im anticipating is asuras wrath, that and sf3tsoe.
