King of Fighters XIII is out on PS3 and 360!

How is King as a battery in this game? I always thought EX King built meter really quick in 98, and this version looks to be pretty close.

That team just screams battery K’. Come on son.

You are not allowed to speak, lol.

@ MadeMan: King? I have no idea really mang, been trying to find vids with a good battery starter but not really working. Most vids I see have K’, Ryo and 'Beth as starters and all the players and/or characters are meter whores. 'Beth especially, it seems like her BnB actually requires a stock.

Haven’t been following this thread and I’m in a rush so…

Has a Tutorial Mode of sorts been confirmed or no?

Have KOF games ever had such a thing? (not sure)

Closest thing confirmed was a Mission Mode.

What gives you the impression snk dislikes Europe? what releases have they released in the usa and not the eu on the current generation of consoles?
Also in the last generation the EU got a few snk games the usa did not, so if anything it’s more the other way round than anything

Yeah you prefer old iori, you’ve used new iori in what? one game, one shit game, i dunno 10 games where he’s been the same, in some games dominant vs ONE game, one terrible game(excluding 13) it’s a very easy opinion to form

i do believe in an interview recently on srk someplace (probably front page ) they said they would be making an announcement regarding the Europe release of 13.

I’m looking forward to this one, i cannot wait to try out some of the lesser used characters, in fact i’ve even forgotten who’s in the game due to the complete lack of variety in alot of match vids, i don’t think I’ve seen one mature since the patch.
As for battery characters Yuri Leona Terry goro mai robert joe athena beni mai andy? i know a few of those are low ranked, you could always pick k, as for iori as a battery chracter i’d probably not use him for that, he can build meter sure but he uses it just as much

How about King, I normally put her first whenever I’m playing 99, 2001 or 2003. she can zone and rushdown. I’m looking at Kula…I don’t know anything about the character’s play style but she seems solid enough to put first.

funny thing…despite the many flaws of kof XII, I was happy about the new Iori. If anything that was probably the only thing I liked about the game. I thought his slash attacks suited him well and I really liked his command grab the most.

You sure are defensive for no reason.

Not that they dislike the EU (poor choice of words), more so that (Other than XBL/PSN titles and a few PS2 releases) They sometimes receive the game later (Seems to be the usual case with game releases, I remember the BB release…felt sorry for that area). Example: U.S. and worldwide (Other than Japan) it was released July 29, 2009. EU release was September 25.

I can form a better opinion of New Iori than you think, considering XIII has been out quite a while in Japanese arcades and through the magic of the internet I can see what he is capable of. Again, I wasn’t bitching more so than explaining and seeing how it got out of hand (And still seems to be so). Anyways, I’m tired of this debate. All I really said is I prefer Old Iori over new, I’ve played new Iori, I’ve seen what he can do in XIII and the original leak had a classic Iori set for XIII and I’d like to see it. Anyone have a problem with someone wanting a character, despite everyone else basically wishlisting? I don’t really give a shit now.

@Foxx: Second suggestion for King, I think I’ll give her a go and see how she works. I only ever messed with King (To any long extent) in CvS2.

King is pretty BadAss in 13. Solid mid-tier character.

Its refreshing to see a fighting game in 2011 that has an viable mid-tier that can take down the top tier versus another certain game where the producer admits to making the rosters purposely unbalanced.

One thing’s for sure, Like the SFIII series, I’ll never get tired at looking at the game.

From what I understand, Atlus (and Ignition before them) don’t have a distribution arm in Europe (I know they don’t have one in Australia at least) and so their games need to be picked up by local distributors. I know that KOF XII and BlazBlue were picked up by All Interactive Entertainment in Aus, which is one of the smallest distributors in the country. The extra time needed to pick up a distributor and the fact that it’s a niche title means that releases can easily get delayed. It took months for XII to come out over here for example.

Nice, I thought I was the only one with the old man syndrome for Iori. I still remember those golden days where I was bitching how lame this new Iori is.

Well, thank god for region free ps3s then.
Atlus not having much of a presence in EU really sucks, they release so many awesome games. At least I think KOF is in fairly good hands with them.

doesnt atlus release games in EU? ive got demon souls and i think its from atlus, not sure though.

ayo you do realize that most snk players have been playing snk (and capcom btw) games since 91? and like i said, what does your rant about players you dont know have anything to do with the actual kof 13 game?

They don’t because they don’t have a EU branch. EU Demon’s Souls was published by Namco Bandai.

I totally agree. DLC just needs to die. Permanently.

Just wait, when CVS3 drops, half the roster will need to be bought, and it’ll take about a year for the roster to be finalized.
