The new Iori is actually better than classic. He’s even more aggressive and probably easier to use tbh. Only thing he lacks is a really good SRK (at the expense of now being able to land super off of an air-juggle) and a projectile.

Billy and classic Iori would suggest that it could be the 95 Rival team they’re going for, in which case it’d be Eiji. Then again, it says 98 Iori so maybe that’s just wishful thinking. I fucking LOVE Eiji!

Lol. Mostly wishlisting cause were excited Yoshi, besides since they put in Billy a course people are gonna be talk, gossip, and wishlist on how they should finish off the 3 character team he’s on. Or If he’s on a team period to began with. Like will he be on a team with a variety of different characters or will it be the old fashioned Fatal Fury Squad.
if a fan made yamazaki sprite can look that good, imagening what snkp will to with him gets me hyped up. billy can be in it without yamazaki imo. if im hopefully right, who will the 3rd of the outlaw team be? mary? gato? oswald? geese? somebody new…?

I wonder if this is in response to fan requests or if they were already working on him? I know we can look at hte XII data files and see Billy, but wasn’t that confirmed to be Billy from Rage of Dragons or something?
In any event, I think Billy Kane was one of hte more requested characters, and I think '97 Outlaw team was the most requested team that I saw on the various boards. WOuldn’t wurprise me if they had Billy reveal then followed it up with Blue Mary and finally Yamazaki (who is probably the character I’ve seen requested the most).
Would really love the '96 boss team to return as well, I know Geese and Krauser are popular as heck, and I personally love Mr Big (seeing the ‘We <3 Mr Big!’ blimp in XIII was awesome).
