Dude I’ve been using O Iori for like 8 years. I just feel comfortable using what I know works, since I see mixed reactions regarding new Iori.
I’ll try him out, I would just enjoy the option. KoF titles love their multiple versions of the same character.
you know how i know you’re right? because even in threads for other unreleased/unavailable games, you’ll see more talk/speculation about gameplay discussion than just useless wishlisting that nobody really cares about (i’m sorry, but posting a list of chars you want to be in the game is not exactly going to spark any sort of thoughtful discussion). i’m really annoyed because this happens every single time theres a new kof or new development about one and it perfectly reflects the zeitgeist of kof in the west (“90% of kof fans dont actually play the game and of the remaining 10% most of them care more about being able to use their favourite characters than how the game actually plays”). the most ironic thing is that characters usually get overhauled and change from game to game, so its definitely not the gameplay variety that a character might offer that makes people want them in the cast. this is supposed to be shoryuken.com not cyberfanatix, but i guess our Competitive Edge™ is getting dull.
SNK games usually don’t do well here. I own most of the good stuff (and bad, hello AoF collection.) they are kind of like Sonic titles: initial hype is badass, people speculating and wishlisting. Then more often than not it’s a shoddy port and everyone leaves but the the dedicated who try to play the mess.
Besides it’s true, the hell else do we have to talk about? XIII has been out for what, two years in Japan? Everything has been discovered, tiers set up, etc. Nothing else but hoping for new characters and seeing if it’s improved upon in other areas or explaining what random character you will use on your K’/Raiden team.
Think I will bust out Dat NGBC later.
it doesnt matter which game it is, i always main yamazaki along with the ff heroes and kof heroes, aof heroes, 96 boss team and almost 3.4 of the whole cast. but no matter who, i always main yamazaki (ff3, rb, rbs, rb2, kof 97, 98, 02, 03, cvs, cvs2). billy is more like a capcom character, though he isnt bad he isnt really that fun to use (his 02 version is the best, 98 version best balanced.) yamazaki is awesome to use in every game hes in (cept 03). i hope that if we do get yamazaki he will be a mix of 98 yama and 98 um ex yama.
also i agree about them showing yamazaki as last for outlaw team cause hes the most wanted of the bunch. im curious about who the other outlaw team member will be if we do get a complete outlaw team, mary, gato, oswald or geese etc?

I want Xaingfei and Kasumi so my main Daimon, Kasumi Xiangfei team will be complete. Otherwise i’m going to have to go with Ryo and Takuma.
Because KoF/SNK has such an awesome roster of characters.
