King Of Fighters 12 or Blazblue?

as i said in the earlier thread, blackmail someone and get both :coffee:

I have been play KOF since '96 and loving it ever since. My gripe with it, now, is no story. What they should have made it '97. In '97, KOF had hidden team or a bunch of different edit teams. Like Kyo, Terry and Ryo being the SNK All Stars. Or, Kyo, Iori and Chizuru being the Sacred Treasures. Give me extras like that. But, as far as the online experience, that should have been taken care of before the release date.

With that being said, I go with KOF. Why? BlazBlue fundamental gameplay is the same as GGXXAC. The system is the same. So, they had the time to work on story modes and extras. Is BlazBlue a bad game, by no means. But, it was built around a pre-existing gameplay system. Where as KoF XII was built from the ground up.

So the question is which one to get? Your choice. But for me, KOF. I really like both games, but my opinion is mine. Also, I may see something that other people don’t and you might also. Again, your choice.

lol, no:rofl:

they share mechanis (only by how they work, yet they arent the same), but they dont play alike, also who says that they used the same engine, thats something that neither you or me know, from what we know they could made it from the scratch, also, making the story mode wasnt done after the arcade release, they have been working on it a good time ago, in parallel with the arcade version

God I wish my SNES output graphics on KOF12 levels.

Everything you said is wrong.

I’ve been a big fan of the Kof series almost since 94 and I still like the new one, yeah Orochi summer ruled moar but still decent, could’ve been better.Like said b4 after playing both it seemed Kof was a bit rushed.
On the other hand I’m now faced with blazblue and yes it can be noob friendly but if you go online, get good at it, you can trully apreciate the game’s awesome combo chains, drives, instant block timing’s,barrier system and a lot of nifty mechanics that when used wisely makes each match a hell of a skill show.
It’s a complex game where each character plays very distinct I really recommend trying this out,so yeah BB gets my vote and it’s kind of hard to say this

Cheers

wrong. Totally different!

herm’… no…

Because SNKP didn’t ?..
What makes you think so?

Fair enough.

?

Ok, could you explain to me how blazblue (the first of the series) was built around an existing system, and KOF (the 12th of the series… -.-’ ) wasn’t?

If he’s wrong about everything you expect him to explain anything?

Here’s a solution! Get a job, save up your money, then buy both titles!

This obviously isn’t a versus thread.

IMO, get Blazblue. KOF was super laggy, even after the patch. Blazblue is lag-free, and super fun to play once you learn the system.

Speaking from personal experience, of course. I’m still starting out in Blazblue, but now that I understand the basics it’s a lot more fun.

There’s no need to hurry KoF will be in bargain bins in a month or two then you can get both.

I have both and I enjoy BB more than kof12 I played kof for 2 weeks then bought Blazeblue and got more out of the single player modes and the online play than i did kof which i hate because I’ve been a big kof fan for years. but if i had it to do over I would only have bought BB

I lol’d.

And Jet is right. Atryu is just in e-denial because he plays dumb shit.

Cheers.

This. :coffee:

KOF12 is freaking amazing!:encore:

I love it very much and play it even more than I do SF4 or BB.

So what do you think of the video I made?

I like it more than SF4 myself. Oh you made this? Good job, I learned something from your combo vid. Using more special moves within a timed CC does more damage overall.

loves me some critical counters. :3

KOF for the Old School, Blazblue for New Age. Both represent what fighting games are all about.

KoF represents the shit that floods the market that nobody cares about, and BB represents the well polished gems that actually deserve a purchase
